Unreal is Back

I dont have this game yet but i can tell you it is similiar to the orginal. If you dont have the original look at my review. If you are looking for a review for the game of the year edition, skip mine. Unreal tournemnt blows away all fps games to this day. Multiplayer is the core of this game being able to play with 15 other players in real time is the best thing in the world.

Haven't Bought it yet...

But the demo was so amazing, the graphics were so rich in detail I'm about to order the full version within the next hour!

Unreal Tournament blew every fps game away as said in the previous review! None can compare and with the new game plays such as a counter strike type game play there will be more and more players converting over to Unreal Tournament!! This game is a must buy for 3d Gamers!!

Unreal Tournament G.O.T.Y. edition is totally on another specrum of first person shooter games. The graphics, stages, game modes, and sounds are all light years ahead of their competition. The game is extremely fun to play-you'll be staring at the screen for hours upon hours upon days. The multiplayer gaming aspect is also top-notch. Finding LAN or internet games is simple. The virtual "bots" also benefit from advanced artificial intelligence that makes them behave like a real player would. In short, this game is a must have-even if you already own the first UT. Try it; you won't be dissapointed.

I loved Unreal Tournament and now Game of the Year is out. They could not make a better game. The new maps and weapons are great. Has to be the best game I have played.

This has to be one of the greatest games ever made. Its' been out for over 2 years but I still play it often if not every day. The team features such as capture the flag or assault are great for multiplayer gaming. There's also tons of mods out for the game, most of which are free. Some even allow you to have a Half-Life type of game with different units. The graphics are superb, the game runs smooth even on older systems (PIII 500mhz, 64mb Ram, 8mb ATi Rage Pro). It suports virtually all type of hardware configurations and has reasonable low system requirenments. U.T. has caught on and is now available on virtually every console. (UT Championship is coming soon for X-Box.) If you never played U.T., you don't know what your missing.

I buy a about one game a year to track the state of game technology. I bought Unreal Tournament last month. I had to return it because the CD would not load, Amazon was super fast and helpful. The game is just amazing!! I'm using it on a Dell 733 PIII with GE Force 32meg graphics card and cable modem. The single player mode is great for learning the game. You can take defaults or program the computer bots yourself. The real fun starts when you hit the net. Tons of game servers available ... all free. Just be prepared to get your a$$ kicked something wicked till you master the game. Actually, there are many different games including several team versions. Online, you can observe as a spectator to learn other players strategies and learn the maps. The quality of the maps is just awesome, very rich details and textures, totally 3D gaming. The speed of play is blazing, takes a while to get used to. Lots of extras available on servers to customize your player and customize maps. You can design your own maps. It never ends. Way beyond the Laura Croft, Quake etc games of the past generation.

I'm a 40something IT Exec and this thing keeps me up at night to blow away the kids. Have fun, happy hunting.

UT is the second best mulitplayer online first person shooter loseing to Half-Life. UT is a amazingly well rounded game. Even the demo kicks butt! So many mods, updates, patchs comeing out every month! This is a must have for anyone who is into online, easy online access, and all around fun. BUT if you wamnt the real UT experice get a VooDoo3 or higher or a Direct3D vidio card. See you on Stinky Finger server. - 006

I have long been a fan of the demo, so when I heard about the NEW, IMPROVED version, I ran out and bought it. The main drive behind my purchase was a new mod called Tactical Ops, a real-world, Rainbow-6-esque game. I was bitterly dissapointed when this was not included in the package. In addition, the new Chaos mod (with more brutal weapons, ricocheting bullets, etc.) has a couple annoying bugs; i.e., you will come across bots sitting in one place, swinging swords at each other with neither taking damage. However, this is still a fine game in its own right. The Chaos mod is great fun regardless, and the new Rocket Arena is one-on-one fun. If you still don't have Unreal Tournament, I highly reccomend this game

I thought that Unreal Tournament couldn't be better. Epic has proved me wrong with UT GOTYE. The game not only includes everything from UT, but has new maps and new modes. ChaosUT offers new weapons like the chaos sniper (Rocket powered bullets), the crossbow, a miniature black hole, and proximity mines that chase you around! Tactical Ops is a more slow-paced terrorist versus anti-terrorist mission with new weapons like grenades. Rocket Arena is a best-of-three battle of pure skill: You have all the armor, you have all the weapons, you have all the ammo, you have all the health, you have no excuses. I personally guarantee you will love this game. Single player mode is good, but online mode rocks! Buy it now!
