For those who aren't able to play online, the game is horrible. But for those who can play it online, it is the best FPS EVER!! So it only looses 1 star for non-internet capable gamers.

great game, but unreal tournament 2003 is coming out soon, but still a great classic shooter game!!

I got Unreal Tournament over a year ago and it is THE best game I have ever purchased. In the course of the year I have only bought one other game since getting UT. UT was simply amazing first time I played and had awesome multiplayer (which is the main focus of the game). Also there are hundreds of mods and mutators that change every aspect of gameplay. Some mods even built entirely new games ontop of the engine. One of my favorite mods is Infiltration at ... whos realistic FPS is even more realistic than Operation Flashpoint! If your buying Unreal Tournament your not just buying 1 game but many. There are teaming communities of mod/mutator makers shaping the game to their fantisies... Also not only are there mods to change the game you can make entirely new maps from scrap. The map making editor takes a while to get used to but you can create your own masterpieces after following a few tutorials. Unreal Tournament is truely the best game I have ever had the pleasure of playing.

UT is probably the most refined and complete First Person Shooter to have ever come out. It is a complete single player AND multiplayer game. In my opinion, the game pace/action is just right: not too fast and not too slow, whereas Quake III Arena's pace is blitzkreig-lightning-like-fast; too fast for my tastes. Graphics and lighting effects are superb as is sound and sound effects. There are a plethora of weapons and most of them have ALTERNATE methods of firing, which is an added bonus. The weapons themselves are great looking, very detailed and some of them have digital counters which indicate the amount of ammunition in them. There are far more maps than in Quake 3 and far more modes of play, making this a much more complete game than Quake 3. The only flaw of Unreal Tournament that I can think of is that there are a limited amount of skins, and unfortunately, all of them are humanoid/military-like whereas Quake 3 Arena has all types of skins.

If you're a fan of Doom-like games and fast paced blow'em away style First Person Shooters, purchase this title and you'll soon discover that in your repertoire of action games, Unreal Tournament is your "piece de resistance."

I have never had more fun with any game before UT. You can download new boards and skins from the UT site, so there is always new entertainment and fun. Be careful not to get hooked like I did. I think I put on 15lbs since I got this game.

I can't stop playing this

I have had this game almost 2 years now and I can't stop playing. I have never had a game that I was so addicted to. Some weekends I will play for 10 hours a day. Beware of this game, it is TOO GOOD. My life has really changed because of this, no joke. If you like Doom, Quake, Half-Life, you need to get this now! Have a nice day.

This game is just the most fun because it allows you to pit yourself against other players as well as 16 bots with varying difficulty in a realistic enviroment with very decent graphics.

This game is so action packed and fun. If you do not have time to get addicted to this game, Don't Buy It! Definitely not suitable for younger Children because of realistic blood and gore.

Chances are good that, once you purchase UT, most of your time will be spent capturing flags and scoring head shots. Two years on, UT is still the best FPS currently available; it's that simple. Word to the wise: check out the plethora of supplemental game content available on the Net. Highlights include the "Tactical Ops" mod and mutators such as "Lazy Matrix" and "Matrix Moves". Thank me later! ;)

This game is a must buy for first person shooter fans. The graphics and sound will amaze you and the controls will never fail you. The online games are a must. This game is not called "Game of the Year Edition" for nothing, it truely deserves every bit of praise it recieves.
