Amazing game ... used to play it too much in 2000 ... 5 years later we started playing again .. it's still the same fun !

This game is very fun to play. And is very easy to configure. I have not found a video card that would not play it. The graphics where way ahead of everything at the time of its release. If you want to play Unreal Tournament 2003 but your computer is not capable of playing it. This game is for you. It’s almost the same as 2003. 2003 just has better graphics and few different guns. I have both and I play this one more than the other because over all it was better made. It is much simpler to configure. Game play is smoother and weapons fire is more precise. This game will always be one of my favorite games. It most definitely was the game of the year.

Just as fun as Quake III: Arena with character!

I admit that it isn't as fun as Quake III when it comes to deathmatch, but it's pretty damn close. The graphics are a wee-bit better in Q3A, but Q3A doesn't have much in ways of teamplay modes. If you like working on a team, get this game! If you have a monster PC with a GeForce2 (or 3 for those willing to pay $...), consider also getting Tribes 2. But back to Unreal Tournament, this will last you a while since there's a crap load of levels and modes. I have had G.O.T.Y. Edition for a little while, I just beat Quake 3 with somewhat ease (on Hardcore, heh heh), and I can just say same hasn't gone with Unreal Tournament. IN conclusion, Quake 3 is the best for deathmatch, but Unreal Tourney is best for everything else, from CTF to Assault.

My Unreal addiction began with Unreal, a normal FPS similar to Doom, except with mindblowing graphics. After playing that game with raw fury and excitement, I found out about Unreal Tournament. It blew me away. The single player game/format is amazing, and the muti-player action is even better. I got so addicted to it that a friend and I once played it for 8 hours straight. Just recently I bought the Game of the Year addition, and found it was even better than the first. So many new weapons, including a kick [butt] sword, along with new maps and characters. It is by far my favorite game of all time.

Simply put: One of the best and most flexible games out...

...there. Unreal Tournament itself has amazingly good gameplay, enough to make you sit behind your computer all day and play. There are multiple gameplay modes, like Deathmath, Team Deathmatch, CTF (Capture the flag), Assault, and Domination. Assault is a mode where the assaulting team has to overcome the defending team and reach an objective (one of my favorite maps for this is Overlord, a WWII Normandy beach landing map). In Domination, the competing teams must take over control points and rule the map. If the game itself is not enough, it also offers an easy-to-use editor called UnrealEd, and there's already tons of mods out there (like the acclaimed Tac Ops, which is included on this edition). You don't need a top-of-the-line computer to play this, either. I used to play on a 800ghz computer and it ran just fine in botmaches and low-ping servers. That's another thing: there's TONS of servers out there calling out for you to play on them. Never will you be unable to find a place to play your favorite maps. Buy UT:GOTY right now, it's a steal at the low price amazon.com is giving it at.

Unreal Tournament is so good a game in terms of strategy and its ability to satisfy desires only its fans can comprehend, that it will be remembered for years to come. This game is a milestone in the gaming industry. No other first person shooter, not even UT 2003, comes near in terms of the fanaticism this game can generate. Hats off to the creators of UT!

I bought the first Unreal when it came out...I thought it would be more like doom. It turned out to be the awesome even thought it was the same concept as Doom. It was a very fun game. I decided to try the Unreal Tournament Demo....I played that for a couple weeks, then i purchased the full version. This game has very very good graphics and nice gameplay. I have an Intel Celeron Processor, 400 MHz with 96 MB of RAM and it runs fast. BUY THIS GAME YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!! ITS THE BEST FPS OUT THERE!!!!!

But the demo was so amazing, the graphics were so rich in detail I'm about to order the full version within the next hour!

Unreal Tournament blew every fps game away as said in the previous review! None can compare and with the new game plays such as a counter strike type game play there will be more and more players converting over to Unreal Tournament!! This game is a must buy for 3d Gamers!!

UT is the second best mulitplayer online first person shooter loseing to Half-Life. UT is a amazingly well rounded game. Even the demo kicks butt! So many mods, updates, patchs comeing out every month! This is a must have for anyone who is into online, easy online access, and all around fun. BUT if you wamnt the real UT experice get a VooDoo3 or higher or a Direct3D vidio card. See you on Stinky Finger server. - 006

Unreal Tournament (G.O.T.Y.E.) is by far the best FPS ever created to date. Forget Quake III, forget Half-Life, U.T. rock's! Perhaps the best part about it is the many varied modes, skins, and levels there to play. Assult, Domination, Team deathmatch, and Last Man Standing are among the few great modes put into a video game. Don't think, just buy it!
