OK - first at all: this game rocks!
The story is fascinating - it's like a good John Woo film. You can sit down, relax, shoot some bad-guys, enjoy a good story and see cool graphics.
If you like movies like "Matrix", "Die Hard" or any John Woo movie (except the Hollywood-things ;-) you will love it. Give it a try and download the demo - or buy it!

450 MHZ?

Why are all these people complaining? It runs on my 300Mhz P2 (Below minimum requirements) with a vodoo 3 and 312 MB Ram!

When you go down to K-Mart or target, you've probally seen the box of Max Payne. "A man with nothing to lose" it says. You casually yawn and toss it aside, looking down for that new game.

To begin, Max Payne is one of the best games out there right now. While some people may mock the story, the storyline is rich and dripping with greatness.

Buckle up, this game is mindblowing. Not only do you get to use Matrix-like bullet time, but it makes you feel like a mob member/cop. You get rid of the bad guys while staying low with the police.
Bottom line: By far a must get. The only thing bad is it's a tad short.
But then again, people who whine about it being short never try the harder game modes, which take the game to a wholenew level.
Not much blood or gore, go buy it for ages 13 and up if you have a son/daughter who likes great shooters.

I have play many great video games such as Grand Theft Audo 3, and one of my favorites, Red Faction. But nothing can get any better than Max Payne. It has awsome Graphics, Great sound, and a great story plot. The game it also famous for its slow motion bullet time. This game is fun. however the game does not last long. There is only 6-8 hours worth of gameplay. I like this game. But I don't speak for every person. Some people might have different opinions about this game. Well, what are you waiting for? Play this game!

Max Payne is a great game. Extremely cinematic. The guns are very fun and the Bullet Time is revolutionary. At times the plot may be a little unbelievable but still very, very exciting. One of the reasons I like Max best is because of it's very cinematic. I highly recomend this game to anyone who loves action movies and games.

This game is awesome! I recommend you buy this game. Trust me you'll get your money's worth. Bullet time is the coolest thing ever created for a shooting game. The graphics are unbelievable!And the whole enviroment is realistic. Don't let anyone tell you different this game is the best in buisiness. Get it now.!!

Wow! Max Payne has got to be one of the greatest games ever! The graphics and storyline RULE! If your a huge 3-D shooter fan, then this is definitly the game for you...plus the bonus of an awesome character and a developed plot! A GREAT BUY!

This game is great, everything about it is refined to perfection, making it the best game about picking up guns and shooting people. I can't believe some people are saying that the ps2 controls are better that these controls. You aim with the mouse, not the arrow keys, Sheesh. Some may say the gameplay is not varied enough, but for some reason, it keeps pushing you to get to the end. The only problem I have with the game is the AI, the baddies are sometimes horribly stupid. They will shoot each other, throw grenades into walls, and shoot at walls. Maybe it is to make the game more like a action movie, but I wanted to see the mercenaries you fight later in the game have some real attack strategies.

My advice to you: go get the pc version rather than the ps2 version, it has better graphics, more responsive controls, you can save anywhere you want, and you can take advantage of the vibrant mod community.

Every hardcore gamer's dream, sadly no multi-player mode.

Honestly speaking, this is probably the best fps game I've ever gotten my hands on. I purchased this game quite a while ago but to this date I play it again and again. One unique feature that this game includes is the "bullet-time" feature. This game is the first of its kind ever, to introduce a temporary, slow motion move completely rotatable by 360 degrees. I believe this technique has been borrowed from movies such as "The Matrix". If you are deeply in to games such as "Counter Strike" and "Soldier of Fortune", you'll surely enjoy this game.

It may be slightly disturbing for people with a faint heart as the game is about a guy on a murderous rampage fighting an entire mob for personal vengeance. There is a lot of blood and gore and the weaponry available is amazing and unimaginably realisitic in working. The only part I did not like about the game was that it does not have a multi-player mode and it's probably because of the "bullet-time" feature. Besides that, I would recommend this game to anyone on any day. I just can't wait for part two to come out!

At this time, one of the best games in the pc games world

Max Payne transports you to the interior of a city full with wickedness and bad habits, where your you are one it kills that he doesn't plan to be given for conquered. The visual effects, the quality of the graphics, the sound, the realism of the weapons and the interface with the user are worthy of admiration. The history is excessively effective and it puts under an obligation to dive in it and to continue each detail until its end.

In summary, it is a game worthy of being played even when to be able to make it it's necessary to buy a new PC dice the requirements of the program that are quite strong. I believe that it would be willing to renovate my PC just to have the pleasure of playing Max Payne
