First off, Max Payne is the greatest game I ever played. Before finishing reading this article order it so you can get it that much faster. Max Payne is a grity story ment for a mature player. the graphics are stunning and realistic and the bullet time is insane. This is a different type of shooting game, it actually has a story to it. the only thing u have a problem with is the case; it is a DVD case and i can not put it in my rack... other then that, get the game.

I can honestly say that this is one of the best games Ive ever played(and Ive played a lot of games). It has the best graphics Ive ever seen in a game. It has a very good storyline. But detailed graphics and a good storyline arent what makes this game stand out. Most of all, its FUN. The very first time i experienced bullet time mode, i felt like i was in the matrix. This is easily a candidate for game of the year. The only thing i would have liked is if it were longer, but it still deserves 5 stars. Good job, Remedy.

This is my new favorite game of all time! A game needs a good story line, and this once hooked me fast, and kept me up until I beat the game. The graphics are... well.. I have never seen anything like it in a computer game. The models are skins of max and the NPCs were amazing... so life-like. I love the bullet-time or time-slowdown-thingy a lot. It really enhances the gameplay and is very fun to use. I give this game a 5 star rating.

Most people say that you need a 'high-end' computer to play Max Payne. That is a lie and they friggin' know it. I have a Windows 98 Compaq Presario 5000. It runs fine. The only problem is I have the same monitor from my Windows 3.1. I guess I need a new one...

Max Payne is one of the most additive games I have ever played. I just cannot stop playing it. If I stop, even just for a day, I feel like I'm going through withdrawal. Further more, the Mods for this game are Cool. (Play True Matrix 1.7 by The Ranger)

Max Payne is the best third-person game ever. The PC version is the best version, that is for sure, quite frankly i'd take a keyboard over a controller anyday. Max Payne is a really, really long game, why people said the game was short is beyond me. Graphically it is pretty average, the character models are terribly ugly and the faces just look cut & pasted on the characters. Also, the one thing i always find amusing about Rockstar games is that no matter who develops the games for Rockstars, you can pull any weapon out of your pockets, no matter what size, that makes me laugh.
This game is almost like watching a full blown movie. I loved the way they told the story, almost like a comic book, which is really cool. Bullet-time is also a nice feature, for a video game that was really original and almost every game has tried to copy it since.
I really liked the character, Mona Sax was my favorite, even though she wasn't used as much as she would be in Max Payne 2, her character really did stand out in Max Payne.
Overall, Max Payne is a true hit.

to this day, this game still kicks! awesome graphics, awesome gameplay, etc. If your into games like this one, Pick this one up. a+
