This is the first FPS I've played in a while, and I was very impressed. The maps are huge, the views are stunning, and the play is a lot of fun.

Great game,great action and pure perfection describes FarCry!This game is HARD and not for the casual FPS player. The game runs smooth and full of eye candy graphics!

When I first picked up Far Cry, it was due to all the hype it recieved online, and through word of mouth. When I first played it- I was hooked for hours! I could not put this game down! It's the most beautiful, magnificent game ever made! It's got excellent gameplay, brilliant AI, the best graphics for any game EVER MADE and a great soundtrack! It's long too, over 20 hours of gameplay, not to mention it comes with a game engine that allows dedicated users to make their own games simply by point and click! What are you waiting for?! Get this game now! (please note however that you will need a top of the line gaming system to run this comfortably. To check and see if you meet the requirements go to Start>Run>type in: dxdiag>then see your stats) Do NOT play this game on minimum requirements! +Bottom Line+ AWESOME! THE BEST GAME EVER MADE!

fast delivery very pleased. My husband was not pleased with the game but he will try it again. He stated it was different in alot of areas that he was not use to playing.....

Tediously long and weary. Nothing interesting, just a lot of borrowed ideas from RTCW, HL2, etc. I am sick of this.

I don't have a lot time to write, but I will say that this is one of the funnest games to play. The action is loaded. The graphics are killer. To bad they did not create a PC version for the latest FarCry game. I would buy every new FarCry game they came out with if they were only PC versions.

Pretty much the same type of game as Halo - similar weapons and uses, game controls, animations. I guess I'm spoiled because it's still not as good as Halo and I ended up just going back to playing Halo one more time. The game controls (driving the jeep, flying the ships ...) are better on Halo, the enemies more interesting, the plots more engaging.
This isn't a bad game though and has more variety and slightly better graphics than Halo. If you're just tired of playing one more Halo campaign, this is a reasonable alternative.
FAR CRY:INSTINCTS is the best game on XBox!

FC:I is a great closing game for XBox-and in my opinion the BEST!
Yes i didn`t forget HALO,HALO is fun for a while but get boring after a complete it,Far Cry:Instincts however kept me playing for about 5 times over it was so much better than HALO 2.I have multiple XBox games(and PS2/NGC) and it is safe to assume that FC:I is the best one,yes that includes Half-Life 2,Ghost recon 2,Splinter Cell 3,WWF RAW is WAR,Rainbow 6,MOH:F and so on.
Its got HUGE MAPS,BEST graphics,you can set traps for the Mercenary guards,and uses Stealth elements so if you walk behind a guard he ain`t gonna swing around and start shooting unless you were noisy.Its an FPS(First Person Shooter) and i LOVE FPS games but i hope that they chuck in a Third Person View so you can use stealth better,Not that i would shoot in TPV-in the Metal Gear games i switch to FPV to shoot guards and bosses as its a pain in the azz not seeing where you are shooting.
You can comandeer alot of vehicles on FC:I likes boats,Jet-Skies,4X4`s and so on that usually have a mounted machine gun on so you can kill guards if they are giving chase.Speaking of vehicles and guards:The CPU characters have a great amount of A.I. that guards can chatter along to their comrades,undetect stealth when its not neccory,and if they know they have no chance of killing Jack(the playble character atually called Jack Carver) they can jump into a jeep and drive off and you can find their vehicle later soemhere crashed and they will be around!
The story is a bit linear like objectives have to be done in order-But they are not timed a whilst you`re doing that you can explore the Tropical jungle environment or just eavesdrop on the guards convo`s,UBISOFT and CryTek gave the guards lots of funny speach in their AI.
I have previously enjoyed Metal Gear Solid 3:Snake Eater which is also set in the jungle,but that is more of a survival game but i loved that-I slightly LOved FC:I over Snake Eater-SE had a better story,FCI had better gameplay apart from the fact u cannot eat animals of wear camoflage.Completed both games about TONZ of TIMEZ.
Reckomened if you have an XBox or/and a PC,if you have a PS2 get MGS3:Snake Eater-ANOTHER BOSS game.If you have an XBox/PC AND a PS2 get BOTH games-so there wil be alot of Rumblin` in the Jungle.Actually forget SE and FC:I get Metal gear Solid 3:Subsistence which will have a new camera PLUS Online play.And get Far Cry Instincts EVOLUTION=Both revamp games-But will overBoss the original versions.Apart from Military war/squad game there are no other good games that are set in the Jungle apart from MGS3:SE/S and FC:I/FCIE-Thats probably why i relate both games to each other:)

Yeah i loved Metal Gear Solid 3:Snake Eater-and since me or my friends don`t talk about it no more-i have been looking for a substitute game to replace it as a topic.Far Cry looks like it can fill the gap that MGS3 was in for so long(2 months talking about one game is alot y`know!)-But why are there no FC game for PS2-These games are BRILLIANT!
Far Cry:INSTINCTS i played that at my cousins house and honestly said "something that is as great as MGS3"
I have reviewed a couple of times on the MGS3:Snake Eater page on Amazon.com(see that and one of them is the latest ones-and says in the game that i am looking 4 a game like it).
I was never jealous to XBox about HALO-BUT damn are my jealous to Xbox about Far Cry!
i bow down to XBox as a PS2 gamer to this game!

What can I say, at 1600 X 1200 Resolution, with alll graphics at complete max.. this game eats doom 3 and half life 2 alive.
Simply the best I have ever witnessed. . Gameplay..is a bit shaky in my opinion although solid, it has strange errors like not being able to save at certain times.. and the autosave occupies all my game slots. Over all, the eye candy was more than enough for me to come back over and over again.. I would reccomend this game to anyone with an EXTREME CPU.. if you just meet the minimium requirements, or are just a bit over, dont even bother buying the game because your sysem will not run it.
