This game is aviesly a show stopper. Very many people have been waiting for a game like this. And I was waiting for half-life 2 but when I tried far cry out at my friends house I just had to get it. If you like very realistic and sniping games your gonna wanna take a good look at this. The only problem with it is you gotta have a pretty good computer to play.

I just bought the Dell Inspiron XPS, with the 3.4 GHZ P4 HT, and 1 GB or DDR 400 RAM. And I had read that this game is a computer drainer. I ran this game at full graphics and it ran seamlessly. The graphics in this game are just unreal, and the gameplay is so smooth. The best part of the game is that fact you can interact with everything. I also like that the enemies are smarter than your usual FPS game enemies. These guys actually flank you and sneak up on you. It makes the game that more intense. This game is one of the best games I have ever played. I recommend it to anyone who loves FPS games, but make sure your computer is beefed up, because if you are running less than a 2ghz, and 512 of RAM, you are going to miss out on what this games has to offer.

Still waiting for Doom3 and Half-Life2 ? So get Far Cry ! It's still the best (Gameplay,Graphics,KI) since a long time.

This game is so great. On my PC, the game runs flawlessly. But hey, im a comp guy, thats my job: keep stuff running well. Anyway, the story is wonderful, the physics are the best i have ever seen, and the graphics will blow you away. It is a truly remarkable fps. BUY BUY BUY!

Good Day,

I must first tell you that I am a gamer and build computer all by hobbie. My rig is a P4 1.8 with a gig of RAM, GForce 4 4600 TI with 128 of RAM on it. I also have a SB audigy 2. So I will not say that my rig is top of the line but it is still a nice rig. For example my rig eats UT2004 (set to highest everything) For lunch. That being said, Far Cry Promised us a great FPS and gave us a middle of the road shooter with a good story. The game is very chopy and does not play well. By that I mean that while loading it sometimes crashes. also while playing as well. The graphics are just okay. One thing that bothers me is that you can not use your wepon while you are in the water. Thats crazy. The story is a good one and that is why I game it 2 stars. In short don't waste your time and money on this game if you are a true gamer.

FAR CRY AND HALFLIFE 2 are the games to watch . You must buy this game.

Won't store checkpoints.

This appears to be a very good game but it is impossible to play because it will not store checkpoints. You have to start over at the beginning every time you play. Others have the same problem. Technical support cannot be reached.

This game was supposed to be the 2004 Game of the Year?? It was difficult to load, difficult to play, and difficult to uninstall. My system meets or exceeds all the system requirements listed on the box. When I finally got this game installed, Which took about 3 tries and two hours...( it always hung up on the fifth disk during install )I got to play it for about 5 minutes before my firewall blocked the game from connecting to the internet, now mind you I was in single player mode...no reason for the game to try to access the internet....at this point I was frustrated to the point of uninstalling the game.( which was also a headache ) if you want a GOOD First Person Shooter, get Deus EX or Fallout, both games beat this game hands down!!!!! I was Very Very Unimpressed with this game, fortunately I didn't pay much for it !!!

Great First-Person Shooter

Simply put, this game has great graphics and it is a ton of fun to play! It is probably my favorite in recent years. In case it helps, some of my other favorite first-person shooter games are Battlefield 1942, Ghost Recon, the Doom and Quake series, and going way back, Duke Nukem 3D!

Fun Game

I liked driving all the different vehicles and the weapontry was nice. My only wish was that it had a quick save F5 or something as many other games do. I don't worry about a story line for my first person shooter games so just having fun shooting and being shot at was good enough for me.
