Totally sweet

I too wondered if this game was worth the money. The answer is yes, it is worth that and so much more. It is worth the price tag to be able to call your friends and say "Holy crap! I just killed hundreds of zombies with a live trout, a lawnmower, and a katana!" They will be confused, but will appreciate the call nonetheless. The save mode makes the game challenging, whereas I feel that if you could save at any given point it would be a little too easy. There are enough save points where any real backtracking isn't required. So no real complaints there. All in all, a good purchase.

Awesome game/a must buy

There are a lot of over-long reviews for this game so i'm going to try to keep it simple. the story line is a little lacking and cheesy, but i didn't buy this game for the story line. i bought it to kill zombies in ways i've never been able to do before. and with a system that allows (so i've read) up to 800 zombies on screen at once, this game let's me do just that. you can follow the game and beat the story line, or you can let the "truth fade into darkness" and do whatever you want and it's still awesome. There's just so much to do that you don't even have to worry about the main story line.
I agree with everyone else that the save system sucks, but they did it that way on purpose. And i can see why they would, even though i can't really explain it. for those following the main story, the main events take place with more than enough time to save and get to the next one, if you aren't watching the clock and save in the wrong spot and can't get to where you need to go, you weren't going to make it anyway and shouldn't have saved. You generally have several game time hours notice before any event and therefore plenty of time. that has not caused a problem for me. There are ways this game could be better, but not many, and i'm sure those will come in the sequels. PLEASE LET THERE BE SEQUELS!!!!!
p.s. i hear you get a lightsaber if you survive for seven days, i'm trying to unlock that ending now. A FRIGGIN LIGHT SABER! GREATEST GAME EVER!

Worth it but not complete

It is definatly worth 60$ and killing the zombies with different weapons is fun at first but gets a little old. Though sometimes there are those days that i just want my mindless zombie killing so thats nice. The story mode is fun and is cool with all the differewnt dircetion you can take with the game an see the different movies. The saving system blows though it is really confusing at first and after I did the first misssion i had to start over twice but you keep you same skill level which could help.

Great game!!

This was an outstanding effort by capcom. I had a ton of fun with this game and can't wait for sequel. The only complaint I have is that it is extemely difficult the read the text on the screen. I know capcom knows about this issue and I'm am sure it will not happen again.

They didn't put thought about its audiences

Any products should be thinking well about their customers, and I believe video game is no exception to it.
This title fails to meet that with all respect.
It is already major show stopper that the screen text is unreadable. With enough frustration with its save system, and control issues, I don't think this game deserves any thing but one star.

Don't buy if you have a SDTV

Just a warning. The text in this game is so small that on a SDTV you can't read it. This makes the game unplayable, as you can't read the text for all the missions and conversations. I honestly can't believe they put the game out without realising this flaw. Apparantly it is better with a HDTV, but I have still read people are having problems with the font even then.

Now i have only played the demo from xbox live but it seems really awesome! You play as this guy trying to find the truth behind all of this everyone turning into zombies thing. There is a wide varity of stores and make-shift weapons. I mean its a mall...endless posibilities! You can roll the zombies over with carts, skate boards, and tons of other things. This game is so cool! I highly recomended it but there is a lot of blood and gore and really bad language, but im still a good person.

Mindless zombie fun

Im not exactly sure what the unhappy reviewers were expecting. Me, I don't require a heck of a lot from a zombie game. It's easy to learn, easy to navigate, the zombies are incredibly realistic, blood & body parts are constantly flying, and the variety of weapons is awesome, regardles of their efficacity. A giant toy laser sword doesn't help you a bit, but it sure is funny to watch.

Granted, I am by no means a hardcore gamer, so I cannot speak to some of the rather exacting standards I've read from other reviewers. But I will attest that if you love zombie movies and have a sick sense of humor, this game is worth having.

No Resident Evil, but still a fun game

Anything in this game is a weapon. Whatever you find in the stores you can get it and kill zombies with it. The boss battles are stupid, but it's still one heck of a game.

Zombie splattering fun

This is a great gory zombie game. Everything is great, except for one thing. The text is small and fuzzy. Which makes it difficult to read, unless it is being spoken. Other than that. Great zombie bashing fun.
