The sequel to the first person "sneaker."

After trying the first mission in Thief 2:The Metal age I was dazzled. The developers at Ion Storm have truly lived up to the promise of a better sequel for we slobbering Thief fans. The original Thief was thought not to do well because of its twist on the first-person shooter. But when it hit the shelves it sold like hot cakes. To those of you run-and-gun fans this might not be the game for you. Thief 2 consists heavily on keeping out of sight and sticking to the shadows. You are not a war hero that can take some few thousand bullet wounds, you are no more than a common thief trying to hold your own. The game has changed a significantly since the original game. The characters in Thief 2 are much smoother and less blocky looking. The physics have also had a dramatic change with new fog effects and etc. The AI's intelligence has been increased as well. This game is fun to play and if you buy it, it will take some time to complete. It can be dificult at times so I suggest buying a strategy guide. I can't tell you how much fun it is when a nobleman offends you, and then you loot him for all he's worth. This is definetly one to get.

If the full game is anything like the demo, then it's a must buy. The demo has had me totally captivated since I began playing it three days ago. It's one of those games that makes you forget about all those things like eating and sleeping. I'm eagerly looking forward to the full release. This is gonna be cool.

This game is an amazing twist on the standard Run-Shoot-Run First Person Shooter genre. Instead of mindless blowing up aliens ad nauseum, you get the chance to exercise your brain and inguenity, while combating guards that seem all too real.

Thief 2 is the game of the century! tHe first game knocked me of my feet with the awesome plot, graphics , and gameplay. The idea of the game, stealing, be stealthly, was a million dollar idea. I'm telling you, this is a GREAT game. Its REALLY worth your money.

This gAme is SOOOOOOOOOO cool! If you dont buy it , You are obviously messed up and derranged.Just kidding. I think the graphics of this game are top notch.If you think the original game was great, you'll love this game! ITS SOOOO cool.

this game sux for one reason, i started playing the demo around 12:30 or 1:00, next thing i know it's almost 5:00! thanx to the makers of this game for adding one more addiction to my life

Looking Glass Studios Does It Again!

The developers over at Looking Glass Studios have done an excellent job bringing a sequel to one of the best games to hit the PC. By the way, it is Looking Glass Studios and not Ion Storm that developed the Thief series. Ion Storm is the developer behind Daikatana and Deus Ex. Thief II is one of the best single player games out there.

The demo is truly something else, I spent forever playing it on expert mode and I still haven't completed it! Just to correct something here, Looking Glass Studios developed the game, not Ion Storm.

If you enjoy first person shooters, but want more than mindless carnage out of your gaming experience, then you **** MUST TRY THIEF 2 ****.

I was sceptical that Thief would be able to hold my attention as the premise seemed to be based on avoiding confrontation. I thought "how boring!". But that is not the case. This is a game of quiet, heart-pounding tension. Hiding in the shadows, listening at doors, waiting for just the right moment to either strike or slide silently by in the shadows.

If you are a FPS fan or a classic RPG fan, try this game. It mixes the best of both the first person shooter as well as the story and strategy of a classic RPG.

This is the best game I've played since.....well, maybe it's the best game i've ever played. I was a little nervous that LG might have messed it up, cause the screenies looked kinda boring, but they pulled it off. Basically it's got everything that Thief had but w/ better graphics, missions, level design, cutscenes, etc,. If you don't got it yet, buy it NOW.
