Pretty good

This game is pretty good. It has many good things about it, but also many flaws. It is very cool how you fight. You dont press a button and it does the moves for you like in most games, but you actually choose the way youre going to hit with the analog stick. It has a pretty good plot line. Probably the worst part of it is its graphics. These are not the graphics you can expect from an Xbox game. Its more like computer graphics. Also, it gets a little old playing with the same person. I mean I know the game is about Obi-Wan, but it just gets a little boring. Most games like this let you pick a different jedi once in a while or any time you want. Two player is pretty fun, it adds that part of a game where you can play with someone else instead of other people having to just sit around and watch. Overall a pretty good game.

this game is excellent. the level are challenging and exciting. force abillities are good and the use of the light saber are cool. after you beat a vouple levels you battle one of the jedi counsle members. on of the last levels is battling darth maul. the last level is a battle royale all the jedi master in a one-for-all battle. it is a very good game

Rent It, Don't buy it.

This game is a really good rental. Fun aspects like force powers and light saber battles make it interesting for about an hour. After that, the bad graphics, glitchy gameplay, and akward controls ruin it. The tutorial is the funnest part of this game. That's where you learn all of your jedi abilities.

The camera angles are ridiculously frustrating. At one point you are forced to jump down a series of levels onto another platform. There's just one problem, you can't adjust the camera angle down. How stupid is that?

too easy

obi-wan is a great game. however the fact that you can beat this game in little more than a day tends to make one not want to spend the 50 smackers to buy but insted just rent it for 5 days from blockbuster. the controls reacted smoothly dispite what some ppl say. the graphics do leave one wanting more after seeing what the xbox is really madet to do with those such as Halo. but all in all you will get plenty of great action from the game. spend the money if its handy but if not jsut rent it.

Is the force within you strong enough for Obi?

I just purchased this game and Halo yesterday, for my Xbox, and at first I wasn't too thrilled with Obi Wan (not after playing Halo, which is a just an awesomeeeeee game! Hands down winner so far!) Nonetheless, Obi Wan, after playing it a few more times and getting the hang of it, and learning the cool jedi tricks such as the "force push," which is fun to knock the enemies against buildings, then slashing them down with your saber just rocks! "Force pull," lets you take a pestering enemies
weapons away at the slightest whim (very impressive move)
and the "force throw" hummmmm... you can figure that one out for yourselves. One of the faves for me is the "force view" which
lets you attack enemies in slowwwwwwww motion! Awesomeeeeeeeee!
There is also "force jump" and another one of my faves is the "force throw" (meaning you can throw your light saber at em! Yes, I said throw your saber at em! It comes right back like a boomerang affect! As for the graphics... they are pretty good,
not as good as what the upcoming"Jedi Outkast" will be for the PC, but are done nicely. All in all, Obi Wan, is more than just hacking and slashing, their are objectives to complete, that will unlock a few more bonus extra levels, and it's just a fun game! Especially if you're a Star Wars fan.

The only thing that really bothered me was the very first level. You will encounter a "Wookie" Chewie? He just follows you around, and helps out when you are fighting dasterdly foes, but his AI is so low, seems more like a "zombie wookie." They could have done without him. Also wish then when you cut down your enemies, that you could see their limbs fly off. Other than that, I would rent this game first if I was you, before shelling out 50 bucks for it. I tell ya it will grow on you though! Kinda addicting! Also, I am looking forward to "Night Caster" and "Blood Wake" when they come out January 2nd, those two titles look impressive! Maybe even rival "Halo" (we will have to see) I will let you all know my reviews on those 2 as well! Until then... May the Force be with you all!

A Perfect 10!

Pay no attention to the negative reviews on this page. Santa brought this game for my son. I can't stop playing it! It's amazing! Graphics/Storyline/etc.... A must have!

I have played the X-box, and it's great. But Obi-Wan for Xbox is just...[bad]. Lucasarts have already done 10 Episode 1 games and all of them, except racer, were failures and should been avoided.
Obi-Wan are an exact copy of Episode 1:Phantom Menace (PC,PS). What they'we done is just highened the graphic one level. You play 1 level, and you put it away. Play other games like Mario or Sonic or something, becaous those games will be listened forever as the best games ever.

Make No Mistake, This Game Rocks

This is simply one of the best games I have ever played. I thought it would be kind of dull with only 1 major weapon, but this game is great. This is the best game that LucasArts has ever put out. You won't be disappointed.

I must say that at first I was a bit unsure of buying this game looking at its graphics and such. There are only two drawbacks to this game one being it loads like a PS2 game and looks like one too. However Xbox, being the best system known to man at this point in time, was able to make things work quite well. I believe that this is my all time favorite Star Wars game that I have played up to this point. It gives you nearly any jedi power that you could want and you can use them at any point in the game in which you wish. Another plus to this game is that your force power recharges so you can use it as unsparingly as desired. The thing that I really liked about this game is that you use the second joystick to control his lightsaber. A lightsaber cant get much more fun than that. However even after this little bit there are still many pluses to this game not even mentioned such as it's cool tie in to the Episode I story line and other things. Simply said buy this game. You probobly arent human or are an inbred PS2 lover if you dont like this game.

You must be joking....

When I heard that there would be an Obi-Wan game built in the vein of Jedi Knights I was so happy I bought an XBox. Well, I'm hitting myself pretty hard right now. While I will admit that XBox has had a very small handful of noteworthy titles my PS2 and GameCube have been giving me a lot more pleasure and good games to choose from. Obi-Wan stands as a testament to the type of over hyped garbage that the XBox has been pushing down a perhaps gullible consumer markets throat for almost a year now. To think that I bought the system for this game... Let me attack every aspect of it that is wrong.
The graphics are Playstation 1 quality at best, granted running in high resolution, but the character models, frame rate and animation are all terrible. The control feels clumsy, the story is boring, and as an Obi-Wan fan I was more put off by the way they portrayed Obi-Wan than enthusiastic about it.
The voice acting was terrible. The voice actors sounded nothing like their movie counterparts, and Obi-Wan came off as being very smug, and unlikable simply because of his voice alone. The sad part of this game is how great the game could have been if A) the graphics were more in touch with what the XBox CAN do, which is a lot more than this, B) the story and dialogue were a lot better, and C) the controls were not so clumsy and were a bit more precise. It is amazing to me that this game made it to the market like this. It was the reason I bought an XBox, it is a good thing I'm broke and could only afford to rent the game. Consumer beware! Rent this game before buying it!
