Bottom line after playing this game for ten hours and then its over is weak. There should be different difficulties. Nice Idea and great soundtrack but too easy. And there should be an option in the jedi battle to be darth maul and robots and other characters...i mean now it is just a jedi versus a different face...nothing real special on that aspect...fun for while, but....
I was ready to play some more!

This game rox! With it's stunning graphics and scary music I couldn't believe it!Maybe even better then the movie! I loved how you'd here this music that would freak you out and then the Tuskin Raiders in big groups maybe even 19 would jump out of the fire! You have to be constantley on guard or you won't see them coming! You see I own a nintendo64 and I'm not used to the xbox but I'll tell you it's GREAT!!! The only problem is the multi player battle isn't fun unless you have like four people playing.
Overall;
One word;GREAT

Obi-wan is a good game but is too hard to beat. It would be better if you could play the COMPUTER in Jedi Battle.
Not bad at all

Great gameplay. Plenty of action. The whole "mission" thing Lucas Arts always make with primary and secondary objectives is getting annoying though. Not very happy with the plot. (what can you expect from a starwars game) But overal, a great game to play. If you get good at it, the one on one battles can be quite fun.

I forced myself to continue playing this game in hopes that towards the end, it would get funner...it never did. To be completely honest, I actually dreaded playing this game every day. Besides the below average graphics, and awkward controls, the gameplay was far below par. The graphics would be sufficient at times, but at no time were they spectacular, or even better than average. I found the game to glitch, and pause for no reason in the middle of battles, and if I ever tried to do more than one thing at once. The controls were very hard to get used to, and it was nearly impossible to do more than one thing at once. Granted it is hard to make it possible to have all the powers a jedi knight has, there were too many things to do with the controllers, especially considering you cant use more than one power at a time. The gameplay was oftentimes confusing and extremely frusterating. The only way I could even come close to recommending this game is if someone had a guide to let them know the missions they were to accomplish. Sure the game would give a brief description of what to do, but in no way was it enough information to get the job done. Also the fact that the player is only given four chances of continuing a level before they have to start over again was extremely frusterating. The levels were long and drawn out, which would be fine, but the way the continuations worked, I would find myself gettin to the end of a level, and then not having any continuations left (which was extremely frusterating to say the least). Overall, I would not recommend this game to another gamer, but with a guide, or level maps, it has the possibility to be BEARABLE.
IT WAS NOT THAT BAD!!!!!!!!

Ijust recently got my x-box and had my eyes set spiderman as my first game. Once I got to the store they told me it was sold out and the only other game that caught my eye was starwars:obiwan. reading some of these reviews I felt a little recentful of buying it at first but then I thought "hey, it couldn't be worst than starwars:Jedi power battles on dreamcast and playstation right? Yeah I was right!! This is a pretty good game to be beat down in the reviews like it was. Yes the graphics weren't as good as the xbox was capable of but they were good. Yes the voice acting of obiwan sound like he had a cold and was still holding his nose but it gave me something to laugh at. If that was all the game had to offer yeah it would [stink] but fortunatly you got to actually play this game other than look and listen to it. The force powers are great. Pushing objects, pulling blasters, pushing people, once you master these skill on some levels don't even need to use your lightsaber. Nope you can just walk around all cool and stuff while your foes are mysteriously getting to beat down by forced flying objects. And when you finely get tired of being the silent yet cool avenger of the force then take your light sabar and become and extremely violent and loud (yet cool) avenger of the force! If you ever wanted to become a Jedi knight this your game! Well I gottat go now because it's lighting and thundering and computer almost died twice. Anyway all I'm trying to say is that it wasn't that bad.

Where I live the game is already out, and I got this game. It is the best game ever!! It starts out before Star Wars Ep. 1 and then overlaps it! The graphics are great! Lucasarts has really out done themselves this time, the handling with Obi-Wan and the lighsabre was easy to learn! This is a must get, and don't think it's easy or that the story line is boring, because it isn't.
You get to do everything and go to different planets, and fight different enemys.

sure the graphics are disappointing. sure the levels are kind of underpopulated. yeah a club can block a lightsaber, and yeah the voice acting is kind of poor. but this game still ranks somewhere on my top 20. the game itself is extremely fun. the ability to have complete control over your lightsaber is something no other SW game has ever offered (and to this day, it still is not a feature, though Jedi Academy will hopefully take that fun feature into account), plus the combos you can learn with your trusty blue blade, and the neat force powers that include slowing down time to make the game seem like a cool star warsie spin off of the matrix, plus if you get bored you can go civilian hunting and get away with it. a person who can enjoy a game for it's gameplay will tell you that most of the effort went to supporting all of the games multiple features (c'mon now lucasarts was just getting started on the box with this one), plus the game is quite long. deep thinkers will tell you that the levels are unpopulated because the hangouts of a crime syndicate like the Jin-Ha would be just that. who wants to hang around with some ... ninjas that even jedi have a tough time bustin out on. star wars geeks will tell you that certain types of metals exist in the star wars galaxy capable of countering a lightsaber (cortosis and corsica, to name two). sympathisers will tell you that lucasarts was at the time using the good actors (mcgreggor and portman and such) in ep.2, and dragging them away from a major movie for a game wouuld be somewhat moronic (...), plus, all you need to do obi-wan and qui gon are people with at least slightly real sounding oldie british accents, for maul you just find a low voiced guy a shove a frog or something less clecheid down his throat, and for padme you just need a damsel in distress. thus, i wasn't bothered by the voice acting. i, in fact, was very impressed with this game, especially the side story where padme was kidnapped by tuskens and lucasarts finally reveals the existance of a tusken chief. i also enjoyed the Jin-Ha bit, though the whole lightsaber resistant armor deelie started to pop some veins after awhile. all in all, this game attempts to slightly recover a bit of what sw lost with the unholy mess that was ep.1, but if you really need to nitpick like all of the reviews i've read of this game, i suggest you invest an extra couplea bucks in knights of the old republic, which is phenomenal in its own respect, but lacks the constant action of obi-wan. i gave this game four stars because no one seems to have a middle ground. ...

I love this game.
pros - It was very fun to play, and just challenging enough to meet my needs without being overly frustrating. The showdown at the end with Darth Maul was very exciting, and it really got my heart pounding. The controls are very intuitive, and the light sable action and force powers are superb. The sound is awesome.
cons - The levels can get repetitive. The graphics are sub-par for an xbox game. It's too expensive. Not quite long enough. Not really multi-player. While very fun, multi-player just consists of fighting against a buddy in an arena.
Verdict - I think it's worth it, but at about half the price.

Obi-Wan for X-Box is a one player game in which the actions and events take place in Episode I. This game is packed with action and an actual plot. Far out idea huh... a game with a plot. I would recommend this game to anyone (that includes people that are not fanatics like me who cant stay away). Qui-Gon Jinn comes into play with a few apperences. The only bad aspects about this game is the repititive droids that become annoying and the accasional freezing. The force powers also aren't the best. The power of doing a force jump with a backflip into a over-head strike on an enemy makes up for these imperfections.
(You can trust me on this one.)
