For Ten Dollars Not Bad

After we got our Wii, the first thing I did was run to the store to pick up a second controller. I saw this package and thought, "hey, for $10 bucks extra I can get another set of mini-games." I was excited to play ping pong with my girls.

That said, we were really disappointed when we got home and played our first game of ping pong. Basically, what you need to know is that every single game on this DVD is designed to simply teach a new gamer how to use the Wii controls. They try to make it entertaining. But at the end of the day, all you are doing is going through excercises to learn how to control the Wii controller. Ping Pong for example, you don't swing the paddle like you would the tennis racket in Wii Sports. You point at a place on the screen where you want your paddle to appear and the game moves it there.

Pros:
- this is a good game for beginners who want to be entertained while learning how to use the controllers.
- some of the multiplayer stuff was fun for a few hours
- you get a new controller (the best part)

Cons:
- you're out $10 and you'll probably never play the game again after you get past the "new game" high.

This game is sad to say boring as all get out... The only game you would want to play more than once would be the tank game all the others get old fast. The only upside to this game is the Wiimote!

Worth the extra money

Wii Play is not a game worth more then $10. So if you need a Wii Remote it is worth picking this up. The games are about the quality of flash games from the web.
Dan

It is worthfull for US$10 in this bundle.

The kids loved the cow ride, it is fun. Fishing on a farway sofa is not possible because of the useless recommendation to get close. The mII search game is very fun for kids, they enjoy it.

This is a real fun game. Enjoyed playing the Ping-Pong. The best thing about playing any of the games is how much of a workout you can get.

It's about what you'd expect. A couple of the games are pretty fun. The cow race and tanks are a couple of my favorites. It won't keep you entertained for hours, but it's fun for a quick party game.

Ok awesome having another control!!!!
Now about we play. It`s a terrible game, the pool is nice but all games could be better. This game is more ment like a tutorial for people to learn how the controls on the wii works so I think this should come along with wii sports on the console pack.

These games are terrible

I bought this just to get the wii remote. The games are terrible. If you can get the remote without this game then do it. The games are a waste of time.

Great value bundled with the wii remote.

At $50 you're getting the wii remote (MSRP $40) as well as the disc with the Wii Play mini games. The mini games are along the same line as the wii sports and include billiards, air hockey, ping pong, and fishing games along with a few others. For the ten bucks, it's really too good to pass up.

This is the real deal!!
