outstanding WW2 shooter

This is the best game for Playstation ever. The visuals are magnificent and the German soldiers speak authentic German. The weapons are incredible and the movies are excelent as well as educational. I reccomend that anyone who likes action games get this one before its history. I also reccomend the soundtrack.(A+)My only cons to it are that a German helmet is not going to stop a 30.06 round at close range. The uniforms were the wrong color also and the bazooka looked bogus also.This game has great replayability. Other than that this is a great game.

The closest to Goldeneye on the psx.

I saw previews for this game more than a year ago and was waiting to get my hands on it. Not to my suprise, when I bought the game in Novemeber I was not dissapointed. First off, Steven Spielberg himself helped to create the game. That doesn't always mean it's going to be good, but this is. The graphics aren't all that great, but they're not all that bad either. What makes this game so enjoyable is the gameplay and level designs. The levels can range from somthing as simple as finding a map to accomplising over ten objectives. And once you learn how to play the game well, you won't be able to put it down. The music, sfx and computer AI also add to the realism and atmosphere of the experience. Almost as if they took sfx from the movie "Saving Private Ryan" itself, which I'm sure is possibile since the movie is a Spielberg film and MOH is a Spielberg game. The only thing lacking in the total package is the full usage of the two player mode, which can be enjoyable in certain levels, but is not the strong point of the game. All in all, Medal of Honor is a safe bet for fans of first-person shooters or those looking for a great game. This is, of course, one of the better games in my library.

I've been waiting...waiting for a World War II-based 1rst person shooter for a long time! It just so happens that it's THE BEST PlayStation game ever made! This isn't no Doom-clone, this puppy is the definition of fun, realism, and immersivness. Authentic weapons, tons of real German dialog, awesome sound, SMART enemies, and total eye-candy when it comes to graphics! Anybody ever see a film called Saving Private Ryan? The sound in this game is almost BETTER than the movie's sound! The only negative aspect is that it is a little short, but not too short. Overall, I recommend this game to all who wish to go behind enemy lines and secretly wreak havoc! Awesome...

Medal of Honor goes where no other Playstation game ever went. This game has great effects, realistic hits, and just makes you part of the game. This is one the few games out there that actually puts you in the game. Wherever you put your soldier, they make you feel like you are there. This is a game you can't put down. I played it days on end, and still can't wait to play again. Definately the best shooter game ever.

It will blow you away!

The best war game I have ever played. Very realistic in many different aspects. The guns sound real, the voices of the people are good, and when someone gets shot the way they go down is very well done. It is also incredibly fun to play. When I started playing, I couldn't stop for a very long time.

Is there a way to give this a 6? or better yet 10 or...

first of all I'd like to say all the people who didn't give this a five are just pranksters who are probably working for competing companies. If you like shooting games and don't buy this... you should probably go to a doctor. A very good doctor even if it cost a bundle of money its worth it. This is the best PSX game ever made! Hey when is the sequal coming out...?

This game is the best WWII game i have ever played. Its totally interactive. If you throw a grenade, dont be stunned that the Nazi's run, kick it back at you or pick it up and throw it away from themselves. If you dont shoot to kill the Nazi's will crawl away, get up and come back at you. Where else will you get to use authentic weapons like the rifle that most of the U.S. soliders carried in WWII(like the one in Saving Private Ryan?) One word describes this game...OUTSTANDING!

Disregard the few dissenters. This is a quality game!

Imagine it is nighttime. You are crouched down aiming your rifle at a bridge overhanging a road. Using the scope on your rifle, you can see a Nazi guard walk on the bridge. Carefully, you aim the crosshairs for the spot just below the Nazi guard's neck. Aim too high, and you might just pop the Nazi's helmet off and he'll run away and alert the others. Aim too low, and it will take more than one shot to kill him. You are patient. You pick your spot and you fire. The impact of the bullet sends the Nazi's head back as he falls off the bridge. One less Nazi in your way. THAT is the beauty of this game. It gives you stats on head-shots, arm-shots, and even groin-shots. It may not ne suitable for some children, but for adults, it's unlike any PSX game you will find. Buy it, and help the Allies win the war!

"Medal of Honor" should get the Medal of Honor!

This game is extraordinary. It is awesome and I'm glad the PlayStation finally has a first-person shooter that is actually worth it! This game makes "GoldenEye 007" look like "Doom 64"! First off, the enemies' AI is so damned awesome! You want to kill a Nazi officer with a hand grenade? Get out of the way, he might just kick it back! Want to blow up a cute guard dog with a hand grenade? Uh-oh! He's bringing the grenade back to you! Also, throwing a grenade at three or more enemies, and one of them will sacrifice his life and jump over the grenade. (That's genius, my friends!) The weapons are awesome, (the sound of them is good, as well) the game's challenge is good (it's not easy, and it's not hard). The music is fantastic!

M.O.H, Best game beside Goldeneye

Medal of Honor, or M.O.H., is one of the best games i've played on playstation. It delivers action and suspense at the same time. The sound is really freaky. You can hear German Soldiers shouting and speaking out orders. You have a big selection of weapons including the bazooka, shotgun, the thompson,the B.A.R. and many more. If you like first person shooters, then this game is for you. If you don't like games period, then this games for you.
