The Best Shooter for Playstation

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 1 / 1

This is the best playstation game I have ever played. From time to time the game became a little buggy at random points during random levels, but the superior attention to detail in sound effects, graphics, uniforms, missions and weapons made it fun from start to finish. A great, great game.

It's a lot like Goldeneye 007, but the theme is more realistic. The graphics are okay, but the music really sets a tense mood. The attacking dogs are an interesting touch. Overall, a lot of fun :)

This is a great game for history buffs and gamers alike.

I had heard great things about this game, and bought it without hesitation. It is historically accurate as far as the uniforms and locales. It is also a blast to play. This is definitely one game worth the price, for military history enthusiasts as well as fans of first person shooters.

This game is a time machine to World War II

Amazing music and sound with the best AI enemies ever on a Playstation game, mixed with great missions and real footage puts you where no other game has. A must buy for the World War II buff or first person gamer!

First off, my name JEFF. I am a 14 year old who knows games! I have done a lot of research on Medal Of Honor and I can tell you it is the very best. This game is what gamers call a must have. I know parents will be looking at this site more so than kids.(X-Mas Shopping! ) I can tell you that your kid(s) will love this game. For them: it is full of action-two players-cool. For you: They might learn a thing or two about World War Two- THERE IS NO BLOOD! And a cool thing about this game is the Nazi talk in German. So if your kid(s) have a Playstation then BUY THIS GAME. Thanx For Your Time

Best Shooter Ever

"Goldeneye," on the Nintendo 64 console, took the shooter genre to a new level. "Medal of Honor" managed to surpass it. Why? From a technical perspective the feel is much better here. One can run and shoot with more control than in "Goldenye" and above all the scope is more accurate, particularly when using a sniper.

However, this commentary about the shooting aspects of the game is not to suggest that this a mindless experience. The gamer is presented with missions based on actual World War II scenarios, and each mission is preceded by mulitmedia briefings which include actual WWII footage.

If this is all were not enough, what truly sets this game apart is the mulitiplayer mode. The gamer begins with a few characters and levels to play on, but many more of each appear in this mode as one progresses through the one player mode.

This is hands down one of the best video games ever made and certainly the best shooter ever.

What an awesome game. I was engrossed in every level for the solid week to two weeks I put my social life aside to start and finish this game. The character oufits, the sounds, the scenery and attention to historical detail are excellent. A super-adventure that plays in a retro-cool Indiana Jones kind of setting. For my money, this is the best game I have ever played. My only complaint is that it was rather short. Some of the levels are very challeging, but there were too few of them. Looking forward to the sequel.

This game totally rocks! Graphics are about a nine as is control, the weapons and uniforms are pretty accurate, and is for the most part historically correct. But what blew me away was the sound FX. Turn your stereo on or crank your TV set all the way up, turn the background music all the way down, and the FX all the way up, and it will blow you away! German officers barking orders, aircraft buzzing overhead, artillery fire of in the distance, in addition to all the normal sounds you hear in the woods: crickets, howling etc. In my opinion, this is the best game for PSX.

I can't stop playing!

I bought this game on Friday. It's now Sunday night and my kids are begging me to let them play the Playstation. I usually play sports games. I loved Saving Private Ryan, saw this game advertised online, and had to try it. I'm sure glad I did. I can't put it down.

The action is realistic, the graphics are incredible, and the controls are easy to master. I really like the way the game gets progressively harder. Not only that, but you have the option after each level to try it again. This really helped me try different tactics to see what worked and what didn't.

The music really puts this game over the top, though. I just bought the CD (only from Amazon). The movie clips are very interesting and help set the tone for each mission. This game seems to have every detail covered.

The only drawback I've found is that there isn't a Medal of Honor 2. C'mon Speilberg, what are you waiting for?

Better than free stuffed crust pizza.

All around GREAT game! One of the finest playstation has to offer. Everything from the menu interface, the fluid 1st person gameplay, to the difficulty of missions... Simply amazing. It would be perfect, if only their were more levels... Don't get me wrong, 20+ missions kept me busy for over a month, but once you complete the final objective, you feel an emptiness. A fantastic void that alters your perception on how video games should leave you after the final level. Oh yeah.. it's that good. One of the best features this title has is fully orchestrated background music. It draws you completly into the main character and his surroundings. I havent had a chance to play much multiplayer, but the little Ive experienced, it definitly gets my vote. So stop wasting your time reading reviews and just get it! Besides the Medal of Honor: Underground sequal, I have yet to find any other action games that match up to Medal of Honor. Good good times.
