Great game, but little easy

This is a great first person shooter game. Taking a different setting than most shooter games, Medal of Honor employs great WWII European settings.

The graphics are decent, nothing that will make you ooh and ahh. The control is okay too but it can be sticky on certain situations such as jumping.

But what really sells this game is the sound. You can hear footsteps of the enemy and their loud German commands and screams. The weapon sound effects are accurate as well.

The great orhcestral soundtrack on this game really puts it on another level. Everyone knows how key music is in films, the same goes for this game. The suspense builds with each raging note and it truly adds to the game.

Only last gripe I have is that it is a bit easy. I finished it easily in a week and I wasn't even playing it everyday. There is a two player option that can keep you busy but that may get old as well.

Saving Private Ryan meets Playstation

Just bought the game and I have logged a lot hours already. If you liked "Goldeneye" then you will like this game. The sound of the weapons are very real and even the sound when you get hit. As far as grafics go it isn't the best in the world but they are still pretty good. One of the best things is that you don't have a clear view the whole game. You will look down a hallway see nothing but dark until you see the muzzle flash that is. The only real problem I have is the stuttering in it when you run into a wall. Other then that GO OUT AND BUY IT!

I liked it and I'm a GIRL!

I'm typically not interested in my husband's video games, especially not in the shoot-em-up kind of games. But he was so excited about this one that he made me play it. Hey, I liked it! I had so much fun sneaking around trying to beat my husband in multi-player mode. It was a rented game so it had to go back, but I plan to buy it for him soon.

Excellent 1st Person Shooter

I haven't seen a first person shooter on the PSX for a while, and when Medal of Honor came out, I whipped out my wallet and snagged it home. This game is truly not a dissappointment! The graphics are decent with a steady frame rate but the sound makes you feel like you're in a Nazi camp. Everything is clear to the ear and a blast to play through the suspenseful music. The animations are great too! Enemy soldiers will writhe in pain depending on where you shoot them too and they take quite a while to get down. Believe me, helmets will be flying! These guys are smart too. Suppose you throw a grenade at them, they'll kick it away or even throw it back at you! You might even have to play undercover depending on your mission. All this with great analog control, good graphics, awesome sound, and multiplayer. If I had the chance, I'd give this game its own medal of honor!

A World War II esponiage tale.......

A World War II espionage tale that explodes with sheer drama in the face of allied adversity. The allies are are relying on your skill to triumph over the Nazis. Graphically, this game is a vivid pictorial of hand to hand combat. Audibly, if at all possible, play this game in surround sound, or you might just miss the bullets whizzing past your head, or the German attack dogs in the distance. This game contains replicas of authentic weapons used during the conflict that you'll be able to deploy with ease. Overall, this game is heart-pounding fun that will make you believe that you're behind enemy lines!

It's about time...let there be a sequel!

I discovered Medal of Honor quite by accident, but am extremely happy I purchasedit. The missions are great and the support (all sorts of video footage, player vs. player mode, and passwords for extra options) is phenomenal.

I have to mention, however, that certain aspects are hard to control in this 1st person shooter. For one, it is difficult to jump- something that frustrated me for almost an hour one night. Another is interaction with the environment: You can get "stuck" going up ladders (you have no choice but to go up or down if you back into one), and as far as I can tell, you can fall 4 or 5 stories and not be injured. Also, some footfalls for your character while walking, or some other "stimuli" would have been nice.

Still, the enemies are cunning and intelligent: by far the most intelligent in any 1st person shooter I've played (e.g. Jerry runs from the grenades you throw, or, if there's enough time, kicks them back at you!).

For gamer/history buffs, this game's a must! Now, can we have a Pacific theater version?

FUN TO PLAY!

The original "Medal of Honor" game is fun to play. Despite graphics that are cheezy by PS2 standards, gamers will find a thrilling experience! Grade: B+

Greatest Playstation game ever made

Medal of Honor is and worthy addition to the sparse collection of 1st person shooters for the Playstation. The graphics are great but the sound is outstanding with a classical 70 piece orchestra score. The AI is good, nazi's take cover behind walls and will throw back your grenades. My only gripes are with the controls, which get sticky at times, some graphical glitches. The game could of used a adjustible difficulty option from easy, meduim to extemely hard. There were only 7 missions compared to the 10 mission and 2 secret ones planned. two stages a french chateu and a mideival castle were pulled from the game. But there is a special accomidation you can earn that tells you the message "Jimmy Patterson Will Return....." I can just hope so. My adivce is that Dreamworks release a director's cut with extra stages and more options like a adjustable difficulty mode.

Does anyone know any passwords for the game? if you do E-mail me

Awesome!

Medal of Honor is the best first-person shooter to ever come to Playstation. The graphics could be better but the realistic game-play makes up for it. It's not-to-fast pace is great for players who hate nerve wrecking games. It's awesome.
