This is the best game in the world. The graphics in this game are amazing. I choose to do this game as my speech for school and I got a A+. The characters in this gam are Lanky, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Chunky, and Tiny. The game take a long time to beat if you are a begineer, but as time gose on you will master it. Right now I am at Hideout Helm and I have 168 golden bananas. When you play the game you have to collect keys to free clumsy, defeat K-rool, collect 201 golden bananas, get all the faires, get all the blueprints, and banana medles. IF YOU WANT TO GET A NEW GAME BAD, GET THIS IT IS THE MOST COOLEST GAME IN THE WORLD.

I'm not an idiot, but this game made me feel like one.

I bought this game because I LOVED DK for Super Nintendo and there was so much hype surrounding this version. I tried out the game a few nights and couldn't get anywhere. I bought the strategy guide and still couldn't. I must be a little rusty since I'm getting up there in the years (23 now). I had to sell it. Maybe I'll use the money to buy a simpler game for my limited comprehension. Is anyone selling their version of Pokemon Snap?

Such a GREAT game!

This game is HUGE! This is well worth the money! The Kongs are so fun to play, they have different items as shooters and they have different skills. I just love Tiny, my son loves Diddy, my hubby DK, and my daughter Tiny too! Such fun, check out Chunky and don't for get crazy Lanky! I would highly recommend this, and get the Strategy Guide too, this will help you!

Best Game in the World!

Donkey Kong 64 is, and always will be the best game in the world. You must buy it. It is so good, well, here is my chart:

Pros:

1. Xbox graphics
2. Sounds no game can match
3. Awsome and hilarious voice acting
4. Shines on music and intro rap
5. Awsome variety of characters and their moves
6. Easy controls
7. Beautifly designed and huge worlds
8. Awsome multiplayer
9. Sweet lighting and effects
10. Allows you to play original arcade game (sweet!)
11. Cool mini-games
12. Gameplay no game can match

Cons:

(none)

That is how good this game is. NO STINKING CONS! The multiplayer battle mode is awsome, too! You get two modes in multiplayer. The first one is when you get 5 or more arenas and you have to battle with coconut guns and pinapple grenades. And the other one is when you get a circular stadium in the air and you have to knock the other guys off of it with guns, grenades, enlargers, and some help with appearing bad guys. (sort of like super smash bros.)

The single player mode is awsome, too. So awsome I can't explain it. This is the best action/adventure game in the world. Heck, the best single game in the world. Buy it now. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have it. IT'S AWSOME!

Best game in the universe

Donkey Kong64 is the best game I ever played. The reason I like it is that you can get new people at the first four levels. I also like it because it is a two player game. This game is not a waste of money. If you had it you would agree 100%. You can fight hard bosses and easy bosses. So buy this game. If there was a scale from 1 to 100 I would rate it 100. If you want to buy it, it's not a waste of money.

Okay, but it lacked something. . .

Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of Donkey Kong. I loved the one on the SNES, to me it was the best one, but the one on the N64 wasn't as much fun as I expected. I favor the jungle levels, and this one only had one on it. I won't get into the fact about the ending (for all of you who know what I am talking about), because it was neither here nor there. It was totally untraditional.

For graphics, the game ruled. For sound, it was awesome. For plot, eeehhhhh, but oh well. over all it was pretty good.

It just doesn't live up to it's standards

I have been playing donkey kongs for as long as they have been out on NES. But this one doesn't keep up with those. I mean, it is really fun and you are into it at first but after a little while it just gets boring. First of all, the levels are to long! Second of all, there is really no point to it after you rescue all the kongs. Third of all it get frusterating after a little bit of time. And i don't like when you shut it off and then turn it back on you start out again at the beginning of a level. Also, you need to go back to the level like 25 times till you actually beat it. And all of the new characters just make it not feel right. Sure, they have donkey and diddy but who are these new guys Lanky, Tiny, and Chunky. And since when did wrinkley die? This game is good and it is a good buy, but i just think that the older DKs are better. So if you get a DK i recommend an older one for NES.

Awesome game!

DK64 has phenomininal graphics (now that I finally have an expansion pack). It's fun and challenging...probably the best purchase I've made this year!!! I love it!

DK is fun again

It has been 5 years since the last Donkey Kong game from Rare and Nintendo, so fans of the series were quick to pick this one up. However, it could have used somemore tweaking. This game utilizes the 4 mega-bite expansion pak, whereas Banjo-Kazooie didn't. Rare promised a game completely diferent from BK, so therefore, I would have expected to be blown away by this game. Sadly, this game is very similar to BK as far as graphics and controls go. Another thing that sticks out, is that it seems that your only goal in the game is to get the next bananna. While this can get irritating when you get stuck trying to get one, the best thing that DK has is a muli-player battle mode where you can sit back and have some fun with your friends.

Still, the graphics are great, and I'm not going to complain about the controls that much. So while Rare and Nintendo continue to tweak this series to perfection, have some fun playing this one.

As usual, great,...until the ending.

I really don't want to sound like I am whining, but this company has done it again. Just like in Banjo-kazooie, and golden-eye, they have substituted a hard "puzzle" with stict if you don't hit the button in .25 seconds or less, then you must spend the next 4 hours trying to win the game. All in all, all three of those games are great, butthe ending are ALL let downs. Instead of an ending that does test skill, they just test luck. What fun is that? I am always left with a bad taste in my mouth after beating these games. They spoil the entire "build-up" with a terrible ending. I guess they think they are being crafty, I think they are just lazy. Maybe they need to take some pointers from the people that developed Zelda.
