the graphics are great with fun bosses and levels

I tried DK 64 and I thought it was fun. The graphics were great. I thought the bosses were better than the ones on SNES. The levels were very exciting with many challenges.

This is easily the best game I have ever played!

I really liked this game because of it's great graphics, it comes with an expansion pak, there are new Kong characters and the old ones are there too! Overall I found this one to be an excellent game ! 1

I had a life before I got this game...

Just got my hands on a pre-release version of this amazing game...all I can say is "WoW!"...This game definitely lives up to the hype. From the opening Donkey Kong hip hop music video to the multiple 3D worlds -- this game will hook you from the moment you plug this puppy in. The sheer amount of multiple mini-quests is dizzying. Get several keys to unlock your caged buddy...collect numerous gold bananas...rescue a trapped llama...yada yada yada...there is just too much to mention here. This game uses an expansion RAM pack (included) -- and it shows! Great fun that will drive you (pardon the pun) bananas!

RARES BEST GAME YET!

This ain't no Mario clone

I was skeptical at first, but after getting an import of the game, but after playing the game all I can say is, "Awesome!" With the 4 Mb Expansion Pak in place the game in evry way is amazing. And the number of characters and secrets boost the replayability up tremendously. N64 owners should NOT be without this.

Oh my! I can't believe how great this game is! I love Mario 64, and Banjo Kazooie is a definate favorite, but I think That DK 64 is going to be my all time most cherished 3-D Platformer. It doesn't get better than this (yet). A challenging, beautiful looking and fun filled game that I highly recommend to all! You now get the expansion pak free (I already had one so I guess I have a spare now)! Buy DK, you will love it!

One of the best games ever

I just got Donkey Kong 64 a few days ago, and all I can say is this is a totally awesome game! In my opinion, it is the N64's best game, rivaled only by Zelda 64. The game kept me playing late into the night and through the next day with its superb graphics and challenging gameplay. This is a must buy for all N64 owners.

Good, but frusterating at times

Ok, you know if you own a Nintendo 64, you either have this game or are getting it. It is a very good game, but it is so huge that at times you feel, well, confused maybe. With five characters, and 200 golden bananas, among many other things, to collect, this game is huge. It will take a gamer hours upon hours to beat. I've been playing for 11 and a half hours so far, and I'm 33% done, with only 69 of 200 bananas. Sure, it's very fun, but it could have been better. The camera has occasional glitches, and there is minor slowdown, but with so much to do, you'll hardly notice. At times, DK64 can seem frusterating, but that's just due to its size, and if you have pleanty of time, and don't get frusterated easily, go right ahead and get this game. After all, this is from Rare and Nintendo.

Too little, too late

Just a bigger Banjo Kazooie. Why is it that Nintendo releases a game system and then has so little respect for its customers that it releases only 1 major Mario game (not counting Mario Kart or anything like that, we're talkin real games here), only 1 Zelda game, and so little of anything else (No Metroid, No Kid Icarus, etc.) and then designs an all new system that they expect customers to buy? I for one am tired of it. This is a cute game, a fun game, but not considerably more fun than a game like Pac Man World on the Playstation or any of the dozens of other titles that appear on the Playstation while Nintendo SLOOOWLY releases expensive carts, and nowhere near as great as Mario64 was. The next time Nintendo releases a game system, I'll wait until theres a few games to buy rather than have to endure two or three years worth of good games ONLY during Xmas season.

Donkey Kong 64 is a Fantastic Game!

I tried a customer version of the game where you could try beating some bosses, enemies, and bonus levels. And all I can say is WOW. This is a really cool game that anybody would enjoy. It has terrific handling, the bosses were not too hard and not too easy to beat, and the bonus stages were lots of fun. The game design was beatiful and the characters are fun. I have already received my copy (gotta wait till X-mas) and I cant wait to try out the real thing!

If you like RPG games like Zelda and Goldeneye, you'll love DK64!
