I am pretty excited for this game, I watched the trailer on xbox.com and thought it was pretty cool. I own Splinter Cell: Stealth Action Redefined and I rented Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. I hope this game turns out to be cool.

This is the best darnn game ever. You get new guns and get to use a knife to grab and kill guards. Splinter Cell was fun, Splinter Cell 2 was better, so what can you conclude about Splinter Cell 3? The best Darnn game of the series.

Splinter CELL CHAOS THEORY but it is later than you think...

Well this game has been in development for two years ever since the first Splinter CELL A.K.A SC hit the streets. This game is going to be out not in NOVEMBER 2004 as advertised here but MARCH 2005 this is a great disappointment but is confirmed by UBI soft. For (...) the quick over-run CHAOS THEORY is going to be the best game, GRAPHICLY in the history of games.
The main character, Sam Fisher, is a member of the so-called THIRD ECHELON government agency. Sam is a BLACK OPS agent and cannot (SHOULD NOT) leave a trace on the political, or physical map...in other words he must be "invisible". So Sam's latest adventure is based around the premise that the Japanese made an "ARMY" trained to use "information" warfare (using electronics to mess around with thing like the national defense agency's computers) and attack themselves to blame it on the north Koreans this starts the pieces rolling and heads the player off to war...By the way this game will be a must have so pre-order is a good idea!

A Preview of a great game coming...

Here is a large preview of an amazing game. Getting better everyday, Chaos Theory is shaping up to be the best game of the series yet, and that's saying something (considering the other 2 were jaw dropping). Here's a preview of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, for the Microsoft XBOX...

1)
Tidbits~

*The release of this game has been pushed back to March. But the more time they spend on it, the better it will be...

*2 types of multiplayer have been announced. The first is co-op, where 2 people control 2 spies, going through several missions BUILT exclusively for co-op. There is also the option to do co-op with a friend over XBOX Live...

The other type of multiplayer (and the best hopefully) will be the returning Mercenary vs Spy over XBOX Live. It will, again, be just 2v2. But the ranking system will be revamped, all kinds of new maps will be added. New gadgets, new game modes, etc... All of you who LOVED Pandora Tommorow's multiplayer will be delighted to hear this. Coming in March, this game is going on LIVE...

*There are 2 divisions of Ubisoft. The Montreal Ubisoft is developing this one, which is good news in my opinion. There is a Shainghai division of Ubisoft, which made Pandora Tomorrow's single player. But the Montreal Team created the multiplayer for Pandora Tommorow (I believe), and also made the single player for the original game (the best single player in my opinion). The Montreal team is making this ENTIRE game, and I think that is better.

*Sam will have many more moves in this one. He has also been equipped with some new weapons, most notably the knife. Chaos Theory will also have a lot more freedom, as you can (once grabbing someone) choose to slit their throat, knock them out, or a number of other things. There are multiple ways to complete levels. Also, in certain situations (for example hanging off of a ledge as a guard passes, u may have the option to climb up as soon as he passes, grab him, and throw him off the ledge. Yes, Sam has gotten more violent ;) your options will be endless. If you are in a hurry and come to a door, you have the option to kick it down (and perhaps to smash the door on a guard in the process, as it is possible). The possibilities are endless...

*There will be a sound meter in Chaos Theory, which will allow you to see how much noise your are making. This goes with your light meter, giving u even more stealth...

*The AI has gotten much smarter. Unlike the previous 2, if they hear a sound and then hide, you don't just "disappear" from their minds. From that moment on, they will check more carefully, perhaps look up, go around corners, etc... Of course with the new options, this may be your advantage. As they turn a corner, pop behind them, and...the choice is yours.

2) Graphics~ The graphics have been totally redesigned from scratch, and let me tell you, from the videos, it looks absolutely JAW DROPPING. This is really pushing the XBOX to it's limits. Sam looks REAL. The engine is amazing, the shadows, effects of the environment, etc... Just amazing....

3) Story~ Well, so far, the stories have been amazing, so expect another deep story, as is the Tom Clancy tradition. Get ready, once again, to be sucked into the Splinter Cell universe... The only information we know, it's 2008..

4) Ubisoft has again hired a musician, this time Armon Tobin, to make yet ANOTHER great soundtrack for the Splinter Cell games. Chaos Theory will, again, have the music to make it a great game.

Well, that's a little preview. This game (as of now) is set to hit shelves in March. Cross your fingers, this just may be the game of the year (of 2005).

Thx!

is it worth buying?

the first splinter cell game was amazing. It was fun to play and had great graphics. The best part of the original Splinter Cell was that it took more than a day to beat. I'm sorry but why in the world Pandora Tomarrow was ever released is beyond me. It was just as fun as the first game, but only half as long. If a third Splinter Cell game is to be released I'm sure it will be visually great and fun to play, but if anyone can beat the game in less than five hours then why even bother? Maybe they should wait until Splinter Cell four is released and just add the two games together! Chaos theory has great potential, but if it only has eight levels-and half of them are real short, than this game is not worth buying. just spend the five bucks or whatever to rent it, cause you wont need to keep it for more than one night.

This is a Preview; not a review

Like many people, I like to review games before their street date is even certain, but I can say this. I am previewing this game so that people in the real world can read my opinion on the progress of this game as of this date.
In Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, there will be many new maps, there will be a knife so that you don't just get to knock enimies unconscious after grappling them, and there will be amazing graphics and gameplay. It is extremely anticipated amongst hardcore Splinter Cell fans, and fans of Tom Clancy.
I would like to introduce my new rating system for previews and reviews; it's called the w00tability scale. This has a mark out of 10. 10 being good or "I can't wait for this game to ship", 5 being ok, or "This game doens't pwn, but it's still fun to play when there's nothing else", and 0-1 being horrible, or as people on NewGrounds plainly say "Blam This Piece of Crap!"

---------------------Chaos Theory's w00tability------------------
Graphics: 10
Gameplay: 9.5
Plot: 10
New Features: 8.5
Anticipation: 9
----------------------------------------
Total w00tability: 9.4

Remember One Thing...

Listen up! All this stuff people say here does sound true. I did check the Splinter Cell website and it looks like the people here are not lying.

Just remember one thing...anything can happen. I am sure you know Halo 2. Before the game was released, we heard all this stuff like how we would be able to peek around corners, how there were all these different types of Warthogs and other vehicles, etc. Some of the stuff we heard (stuff that we really believed) turned out to be false. Also, in Halo (the first one on the Xbox), people thought the flamethrower would be available. Well, they took it out shortly before the release. I am not saying that this game here is good or bad, I am just saying that anything can happen before the final release.

*Thanks

Best Stealth\Action Game Ever. Period.

All of the splinter cell games are incredible, so going into this review I was expecting great things. Needless to say, this game blew me away. Not only is it more fun to play then the first two Spinter Cell games, but it looks about ten times better then Pandora Tomorrow. This is by far the best looking consol game I have ever seen. Yes better then Halo 2, Doom 3, DOA Ultimate. Better then all of those games. The textures are freaking unbelieveable. Individual pieces of gravel on the ground, textured bricks on a wall, its just incredible.

Lets talk abour multiplayer...well...it rocks. It has co-op online which is great. I havent gotton to see if it has the same multiplayer from PT, but if it does, watch out Halo.

Overall, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theroy is the best of the best when it comes to Stealth\Action games. If you have an X-box or a good PC, get it before its gone.

Concept- Bring back the worlds most loved spy and make him ten times better.

Presintation- 9.7- The box art is a little off(except on the collectors edition) but everything is put together well.

Graphics- 10- the best looking consol game ever, textures are incredible, aminations are top notch, everything is awesom.

Sound- 10- The first time sound has played a major, and I mean major, role in gameplay. Its done really well.

Playability- 9.6- The shooting elements are a little eh but otherwise its great.

Entertainment- 9.6- Never has sneeking up behind someone and cuttinmg their throught been more fun.

Replay Value- 9.6- Great Multiplayer

This game beats everything out of the other two. The story line is much better and is as much fun as the first splinter cell, and the multiplayer is a gstep up from Pandora Tommorrow, which, by the way, someone said they didnt know why is was released... the one player was bad, yah, but it was the most innovative online game, and Chaos Theroy only adds to that with new weapons, maps, and even online co-op.
