I have only one word for this game, that word is WOW!!
Wrote the above line based on the first day or two of game play. Since then, the game has gotten better and better. Between the shot guns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, and even a tank that will make the "Warthog" look small and puny by comparison, the game just keeps toping itself.

Gameplay is great for 1, or more if you want. Team competition is great. Hook it up to your home theater though- that was really great. The surround sound really puts you in the game with ricochets coming from the correct direction etc. Great weapons & vehicles.
Sound & Graphics also awesome. Very crisp and no "stalls" when you are playing. Very smooth. Loading time is minimal.
Once I got used to the controllers, I really liked them. Better than PS2 or Nintendo. (Although I haven't played a cube yet.)

This game is a Blast right from the get go. I have
never seen these good of Graphics on a PC or any game
console ever before. When your up close to objects they
don't look [bad], they look sharpe and everything blends
together nice. It has three different levels of Difficulty and there is a big difference on each level of play. And unlike alot of games out there, if you die in this game you don't go all the way back to the begining. You cross checking points and every time you die, you go back to the closest checkpoint.

This is a fun game to play, these aliens know how to fight
back , and they come in groups. ...

I struggled alittle with the controls at first, but once
i got over that, i sure got envolved into the game. There
are not a lot of titles out there yet for the Xbox, this will
keep you busy for several weeks playing it around the clock...., I can't stop playing it.

Enjoy, and lets pray for a Halo 2.

Most people say this is the best shooter since Goldeneye,well thats a lot of bull, this is better than Goldeneye. (...) The controls work perfectly, the AI is not overly intellegent but still able to think up brillant battle plans,while the multiplayer ranks right up there with Perfect Dark. the only real problem is the sluggish vehicle movement and nearly impossable vehicle aim. All in all HALO is, in my opinion, one of the best games in the last few years. this should be the first Xbox game you buy!

This game kicks (...)!! I've never really been a fan of first perons shooters but that has all changed since I picked up HALO. I bought this game on launch day along with my Xbox and ever since then I've been hooked. The graphics are out of this world (no pun intended!). But not only does it have killer graphics, the game play is amazing!! I love the Xbox controller and how the controlls are layed out for HALO.

This is a must have game that's only found on the Xbox!!

Unbelievably addictive. I'm a sports gamer and not a shooter/role play guy, but I have spent hours at a time on this one without even blinking. I can't wait until I get a shot at playing more.

My wife (not a gamer) loves watching what unfolds next.

This game is absolutely amazing. The graphics are pretty good. The plot in this game is very well done. The gameplay is unforgettable. Multyplayer is so addicting. You get 10 weapons, which are all incredibly balenced. The enemy A.I. is challenging, it actually makes you think, ''What should I do next?''. This game is amazing. If you don't have it yet get it and beat it before Halo 2 comes out(November 9, 2004!)

Halo is one amazing game. With seamless graphics and incredible gameplay, this game is the closest thing to actually waging a war against an entire race of aliens bent on universal domination. Co-op is da SHIZ NIT and you have never had a party before until you host a eight player HALO system link party. If you have friends who are prone to controller throwing you may want to have a couple extra just in case (just kidding). My friends and I have had more fun playing system link HALO than any other game or any other thing we would ever do at a party. The single play is amazing and if you have ever played a first-person shooter and are thinking that this is more of the same recycled crap from those budget games you are absoloutely wrong. Years of painstaking work and playtesting have resulted in the greatest game of all time. The bottom line is this: HALO IS THE GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME SINGLE AND MULTI-PLAYER WISE AND DESERVES TO BE BOUGHT BY ANYONE WHO IS 13 YEARS OF AGE. the reason why I say 13 is because there is quite a bit of blood and lots of intense killing. If you are a mature 13 yearold, you should have no problem with this game (this is to you parents out there who think videogames are the source of all of the world's violence). I have only two SUPERsmall gripes and that is no custom soundtrack capability on the Multiplay and the levels can become slightly repetitive. WORD UP PZ OUT. p.s. if you are thinking about buying HALO 2 and you do not own a copy of HALO 1, I STRONGLY recommend buying HALO 1 first because there is so much depth in the storyline that it will help out a lot if you have played through HALO 1 before you play HALO 2. later y'all
