halo is the epitome of fps gaming. it is beautifal. addictive. immersive. captavating. and expertly designed. the graphics are unmatched. the gameplay is thrilling. and the sound is so good that youll always put the volume up to 50. theres even an enormus amount of replay value. multiplayer coop and 16 player lan play. avcourse halo is anything but your typical fps. its an action packed thrill ride featuring rock solid action. captavating story. and a completely immersive expereince. theres so much story twists. but ill let you find out about them on your own. fortunately halo erases that stealth crap and objective based gameplay that ruins fpses in the past. basically halo is just pure action. 13 hours of cinema qaulity story and action from the very best of flicks. there are so many unique instances in halo. and make no mistake about it strategy plays a heavy role. and sometimes if you select a hard difficulty. the going can be slow. but halo never loses that exciting touch that makes it so rewarding to play. avcourse it would be impossible to beat out your opponents without the very best weapons. so right now ill list the weapons and there uses. pistol- this weapon is a very accurate shot. it has a 2x zoom feature. which allows you to get a better look at your foe. it also has a really powerful scope. delivering strong sharp shots to enemies many meters away. sniper rifle- this weapon can be very useful if you are in the right sitautions. if you have enemies far away its perfect. sniper rifle not only boasts incredible long distance scope shots. but also has 2x zoom and 10 x zoom. sniper rifle should be used against a small to meduim sised number of enemies. because its rate of fire is not strong enough to take out large hordes of conevant. also putting it into the zoom feature takes too long. shotgun- although harmless at long range. the shotgun can kill with one shot in short range. and can also be used effectively at meduim range. assault rifle- this weapon might not have the best accuracy. but its great rate of fire. means that it will get you out of those tight sitautions. where youre being overteamed by large groups of enemies. the reason it works so well in a sitaution like that. is simply because it shoots lighting fast. though its practically useless at long range. rocketlauncher- this is a unique weapon. because while its easily the most powerful weapon in the game. it is also the most useless. many of your combat takes place in close range. use this weapon in close range. and the rocket will bounce right off your enemie and kill you instead. expect to die many times if youre not skilled with the gun. plasma pistol- this shoots small fuzes of plasma at enemies. its effective against foes with energy feilds. but its scope is simply not strong enough to take out a lot of enemies quickly. though it has the distinctive feature of being able to ball up a large fuze. once this fuze is released youll have no problem taking care of enemies. it also removes the sheilds of jackals. plasmsa rifle- if you can get bast the toyish look of the plasma rifle. youll find its a good solid weapon. it shoots very strong bolts of plasma at enemies. its extreemely effective against foes with energy sheilds such as elites. and will do major harm to them. needler- this unique weapon actaully shoots needles at enemies. make sure your enemie dosent get too far away or the gun wont work. if they dont run far enough away. the needles will group together attach to the body then explode in an eruption of plasma. altoghether get the game its great. depending on how hard you like to play. will give you an idea of what difficulty to chose. i say. easy- for beginners. normal- people who dont want to be challenged that much. heroic- people who like there games hard. legendary- for people who like dieing and suffering shortcomings.

Let me tell you this ive been gaming all my life and halo is the best game since super mario. I love using my xbox live to play against people on the internet. This game is deffinetely a buy not a rent.
Though there is only 7 or 8 levals each level takes 1 hour-1 1/2 hour.the multiplayer mode is irresistable. Even the trial is better than 3/4 of all games out there.

This game is great! Halo has many wonderful forms of play and many levels of play; it is the perfect game to play by yourself or invite a crowd with 3 or 4 players to see how well your manhunting skills are. The graphics are amazing and the story line is very interesting. Can't wait for Halo 2!

I love Halo.Its one of the best games ever! This game is perfect and I mean that. All the stuff on Halo is so right.I love the vehicles and the weapons. Get HALO!!!!!!!!!

That game is the best game to come out on xbox. it wouldn't when Halo 2 comes out though. It is a very good game.

one of the greatest games ever made. a new breed of fps actoion comes to the xbox. no im not even really an fps fan. but you certainly dont have to be one to enjoy halo. the graphics are jawdropping. the music is amazing. the gameplay is a fast paced thrill ride. the ai is incredibly inteligent. and the story is good enough for any movie. you are master cheif an armor protected marine. entering earth in a highly specialized suit the mjionor mark v or something like that. it seems earth is in conflict with a ruthless species of aleins only known as the conevant. its the job of you and your fellow marines to stop these aleins and save humanity. the gameplay is incredibly fun and addictive. youll be going trough the best of combat as you make your way trough the beautifal imiganitive settings of the world halo. youll have a selection of 8 weapons. 5 human weapons. and 3 conevant weapons. lets start with the human weapons. pistol- active verstaile and incredibly effective. the pistol not only boasts very sharp strong shots. but also has one of the greatest targeting abilitys of any weapon. its range is very accurate. you can also put the pistol into 2x zoom. shotgun- this is very powerful. but used effectively in close range combat. attack right in the face of your enemy. youll usaully be able to kill with only one shoot if you have accurate aim. assault rifle- this is good for up close combat. perhaps dosent work as well as the shotgun. but is effective in its own right. carrys up to 600 rounds of ammunition. this gun can be shot simeauntanously or in short sharp bursts. rocketlauncher- this is the most effective weapon in the game. kills enemys with one shot always. but be careful strictly for close range combat. can kill you in short range combat. sniper rifle- this weapon is very effective in long range. but works poorly upclose. still a great long range weapon. and not a bad mid range weapon. this weapon can be put in 10x zoom. conevant weapons- plasma rifle- this is a weak weapon. which works fairly well before its about to overheat. then it works poorly. plasma pisol- just like the plasma rifle. only looks diffrent. needler- this weapon lets you fire needles yes needles at your enemies. everything else about the game is great. buy it you wont be dissatified. and if you were. id really love to know why. dump goldeneye. forget about crap like qauke goldeneye and perfect dark. trash halflife and halflife 2. screw doom unreal. the heck with timesplitters 2. halo is the real deal the best fps of all time. and anyone who thinks diffrently. im going to come to your house. and well you dont WANT to know. douches. oh and ive been playing other fps like goldeneye. let me tell you GOLDENEYE IS PURE CRAP THE WORST FIRST PERSON SHOOTER EVER.

This is the best game i have ever played! a must get for anyone with an XBOX. it may seem easy at first but gets harder as you progress. if it seems to easy than put it on the hard modes. only get this game if you have a lot of spare time, you'll find it very hard to put down.

I just bought my XBox last week and decided to get Halo. I'm addicted. Excellent graphics, sound, gameplay, and storyline - and I love the controller! It didn't take long to get used to the controls and you can customize them. If you like games like Goldeneye, you will love this game.

I have played with 2 players and it is awesome. You can play against each other or as a team. Don't play this on easy mode, you will go through the levels too fast. Start out on at least normal.

i have played ALL of fps games in existence, and i can say with confidence that this is THE best of them all!! half life was once number one. This game will be the standard in which ALL fps games will be based upon. The graphics are are amazing. Enemy and friend A.I. is unmatched by any game to date, But most of all the gameplay rocks!. BUY IT! it is worth every penny!!

Halo gives a new meaning to First Person Shooter. Non-stop action and great graphics and sound and story. This game is not just about you versus and alien race. It's about you and two alien races against each other. During the middle the whole game changes and the end could not of been better! The ol' get outta the place before it blows ending. It is extremely addicting.

PROS:
1) GREAT STORY
2) GREAT GRAPHICS
3) GREAT SOUND
4) GREAT WEAPONS
5) GREAT AI

CONS:
1) SHORT(not very short but could have been longer)
2) SOMETIMES A LEVEL CAN GET BORING EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE
3) LAGS A BIT AT END DUE TO 30 FPS INSTEAD OF 60 FPS

OVERALL: I give this game a 9.8 because of the MINOR problems that you have in every game. GET AN XBOX AND GET THIS GAME!!!
OH YEA! I'm guessing Microsoft and Bungie are maybe thinking about making HALO 2 because of the ending. A character said, "It's over." But your character said, "I think this is just the beginning." I'm wondering...
