This game, Luigi's Mansion, and Animal Crossing are my favorite Gamecube games. If someone tells you "The only point of SMS is to clean up this island", they are either stupid or they have never played. There's this Shadow Mario and he steals Peach. Then he takes your FLUDD and you have to do an Action Stage. The graphics are beautiful. There are only a few things that are bad, like the camera angles. If you try to do a ground pound off the Shine Tower, the camera will keep turning so you can't see Mario. Another thing is that Luigi is not in this game at all. Jeez, Luigi let Mario in his ONE game, and Mario was selfish enough to leave him out. Really, Mario, you could still be in a painting with King Boo right now.

Other than that, the game is FLAWLESS.

This Game is great!!! Go buy it NOW!!

I bought this game myself for my birthday and I just want to say that it is great. I kept seeing commercials for it and I said to myself "This game looks so stupid" Then one of my friends said it was good so I bought it. Its great! Some parts are very tricky but it is still a great game.

Fun to play game

Super Mario Sunshine is a cool game, at one point of the game you get to use Yoshi(You need 20 spirit shines to make shadow Mario(Bowser jr) apeare and he will be running away with a Yoshi egg then snach it from him)well also here is the plot, when Mario wanted to take a vacation on Isle Delfino a trurble maker (Shadow Mario) was making a mess on Isle Delfino the suspect had a black mushtach, a round nose, a hat with a "M" sigh on it and was a bit fat , the accused was Mario so his punichment was to clean up Isle Delfino with FLUDD (Flash liquid ultra Dousing Device .
That was the plot, good thing the plot is not saving Peach even tought she gets kidnaped few times, it is not the main thing in this game well the graphcs are good so I think any one could enyoy this game well thats all.

This game has the best plot and game play that i have ever seen. the 3-D action will blow you away. The Game Cube itself is a work of art. What they can fit onto a disk these days is crazy! Thsi game is unexplainable. You just have to see for yourself. Super Mario Sunshine is my favorite game on the Game Cube and it should be yours to.

The game, addictive and hard, has to do with FLUDD and Mario... Mario gets in jail (and gets out), cleans sticky slippery sludge-like substances, it's the usual platform game all over again. Its storyline, detailed and confusing, is weird, but can be understood easily. A child's game, but I can't beat it (somehow). Take it from the Mario freak, this game's really worth the ... bucks.

Mario Sunshine really isn't anything new, if you've played Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64, then you already pretty much know how to play this game. However, Mario 64 is arguably one of the best games ever, so this "sequel" is most welcome! The graphics are great, really bright, colorful, and cheery, and the music likewise keeps you hummin'. But the gameplay is what really shines in this game. Mario has plenty of moves and the game requires you to use ALL of them in order to succeed, from his multiple jumps to his 3 FLUDD, (The water device that he uses), power-ups to our dino-pal Yoshi. The game's main objective is collecting shine sprites, and, like Mario 64, a specific mission must be completed before you can obtain them. The missions offer great variety, are challenging, and extremely fun. When you beat the game, you earn a cool tropical shirt for Mario to wear. REALLY COOL. This game BELONGS in your Gamecube library!

I am a huge fan of Mario games. When i first bought this game thinking maybe i should have bought turok evolution instead,i quickly decided that I had made the right choice buying this game. I quicky was addicted to it. I have been enjoying it day and night. The only flaw is there is no multi player, but besides that this game is fun. Gameplay: 4.5 Graphics: 4.5 and Sound: 4.0. Overall this game is great. I would advise anyone who liked previous mario games to buy this one. It lots of fun and it is challenging.

Super Mario Sunshine

Super Mario Sunshine was the most anticipated game of Summer 2002. There is a good reason for this. It's Mario!

Super Mario Sunshine is a excellent third person adventure game. It is not for all, just for some who are intrested in the wacky kind of gameplay. Mario goes to Isle Delfino for a vacation. An imposter Mario paints the island with graffiti. When people recognize Mario as the criminal, he is sentenced to cleaning the island, and cannot leave until it is cleansed of the filth. Mario is only given the FLUDD, a water cannon that shoots out water. Mario learns that the source of energy on Isle Delfino are these Shine Sprites.

This game is very difficult, and builds on what Super Mario 64 made 6 years ago. This is the most unique Super Mario game released in his 20 year life span. The game has difficult controls, but grow on you. A Button is used to jump, B button is the Action button, Y is used for first person shooting of the water cannon, and X button is used for switching for water shooter, to hovering.

In Super Mario Sunshine, shines are the equivilant of Super Mario 64's stars. You need to collect 120 shines throughout Isle Delfino.

To every great game, they're always some flaws. Super Mario Sunshine is one of those games. There are only 8 worlds. The one that gets me so mad that I stop playing sometimes is the damn camera. If you have played Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, you know what I'm talking about. The camera is made for you to use, and not for the game to control itself. You have to use the L Button and C stick to control the camera. There are some levels that it gets so out of control, I feel like calling Nintendo's number and complain to stop production of Super Mario Sunshine, and do not put out another copy until they fix the camera. They is one level called Gelato Beach. You have to collect 8 red coins to beat the level. You have to climb a fence that you can punch to get to the other side of it, a la Super Mario World from Super Nintendo and Gameboy Advance. The camera gets stuck behind the fence, and you see water running down the wall, and the camera is trying to get behind Mario, and when you try to jump, the camera keeps moving to get behind Mario, and it makes it impossible to complete your tasks. After attempting to jump off a wall 10 to 20 times, it gets very frustrating. Sometimes, the camera gets in the way, that when you are behind a wall, the camera tries to get behind Mario, and the camera goes through the wall, and you can't see.

Super Mario Sunshine is what I said before, for some, not for all. ...

The game is endless

I wanted to give this game higher stars...I really did. I have always liked Mario games and this one has some great graphics and some really innovative and fun levels. So why the mediocre score...the difficulty level. I don't know what game these other people were playing to say this game is easy!? Sure some levels are, but the difficulty of some of the non-Fludd using jump-crazy levels is enough to make one go insane. It is difficulty at the point where the fun level is gone and your Gamecube is in serious danger of getting destroyed. It doesn't help that Mario's jumping and the camera are chaotic at best. Maybe if you have all day to sit around and play games this would be an easy game, but weekend warriors beware...you are in for some serious frustration if you buy this game. I have given up any hope of ever completing it...especially since the five mile long laundry list of stuff you have to do to beat it will have gotten boring long after better games like Metroid or Starfox have come out.
