Must Have for All Mario Fans

This game is fun for the whole family. The graphics are amazing, and this is the first time we've seen Mario since N64. The gameplay is great. Who could have thought that strapping a water gun to Mario's back would be such fun? This game is worth every cent of it's price. You'll be playing this game for hours and hours.

expectedly surprising

there have actually been times when the thought of a new mario game has made me yawn. zippedy-do-da, it's a new mario game, methinks! he's been given more jobs than the mob, and has appeared and in more games than mega man and lara croft together. so i ask myself, "what is there to get excited about?"

and i don't know why, because every time that mario finds himself in the brouhaha that is his virtual life, i find myself enjoying every minute of it! the graphics are good, but aren't the best you'll see these days, and the story is ho-hum, but these things are expected for mario...as is exceptional gameplay.

besides the beginning of the game, you'll have a choice to embark on many different adventures in the order you see fit. along these adventures, mario will collect "shines", which brighten the island, and be able to open other locations on the island. the play control feels a lot like super mario 64, which is a good thing since super mario 64 was the epitome of what a good 3-d game should be, but it doesn't play exactly like it's daddy. right away mario gains a talking waterhose(surprise) that adds a whole new factor in how objectives are met.

one very pleasing surprise was the difficulty...some things are easy, and others are incredibly hard. the learning curve is pretty good, depending on what order you do everything in, so this game has something for everyone. the end duel wasn't as challenging as i would have liked, but the road to perdition getting there more than makes up for it! getting all the shines is the equivalent of fighting off muggers - you're beat up and weary, but stand proudly...and have the proof to back it up!

yes, this game is very challenging at times, but there is something for everyone to enjoy in mario's vacation hijinks. besides some comic mischief and animated violence(saturday morning style), mom and pop can relax and the older crowd is sure to love yet another mario game...a very good thing!

This game is tight , tight , and uhhhhh.......oh yeah, tight

When my brother bought this game really wanted to play this smooth litle game. I heard it was fun, and it was very tight. Each level has different episodes like STAR WARS!!!!! You get to ride Yoshis again, and they can spit juice by eating fruit!!! Mario's water pump is made by Proffessor E. Gadd like Luigi's vacuum! And because I want to say this, Peach is kidnapped!!! And the enemy turns out not to be that water Mario guy, it's Bowser's son, Bowser Jr. So Mario shouldn't bring Peach when on vacation, becase every time he does, she gets kidnapped.

Super Mario Sunshine is a dissapointment. Don't let great reviews persuade you to buy this game. I warn you that I bought this game, and it was not even as good as Mario 64. It gets very boring running around spraying enourmous amounts of mud and little plants that are not impressive at all. Sure, the graphics are nice, especially the water, but surely you wouldn't just buy a game for its graphics? Sadly, I beat the game (not getting all of the stars) and the ending wasn't even as good as Mario 64. A step down from the last mario game, don't buy this unless you are young and just getting into adventure games. Too much was expected of this, but it shouldn't even get a second look.

Follow Up To Mario 64.

I remember reading about this game that was in progress when Mario 64 was released and sure enough this game was it.I think that at times this game can be very fun..ONCE YOU START PROGRESSING. It can be very rough at times. YES! I admit using my handy dandy game guide to get me through but even with a game guide you still get so confused. It gets confusing when certain cut scences that were suppose to happening after a certain amount of stars happens later on in the game or you just so happen to run in section were something takes place. I can not stress enough how the graphics in this game are so prestine and real I love it! I think once I get use to everything will I understand more but I will rate this game 4 stars.

ADDICTIVE! BEST MARIO GAME TO DATE!

This game is why Nintendo was created. It is humorous, addictive, strategic, and has great graphics and sound. From a teenager's perspective, this is no kiddie game. You can tell that Nintendo put a lot of hard work in to this game. The gameline is not a point A to point B style like most games. It jumps back and forth featuring some easy parts, hard parts, some easy parts, and some more hard parts, so you are always coming back for more(I still am) and most importantly, never get bored of it! This is a game you also wont say, "I cant believe I was so into that game a long time ago." In ten years, you will still be in love with it. I am glad I got it, and I know you will be too.

This game looks very amazing, graphics are pretty darn stable, camera can be improved. Flows very smoothly. And for the uninformed reviewer who gave this a one star, the do play it before they review it. HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A BETA? I know alot more then you do about games, so beleive me, they test them before the review them. This game looks really good. One of the best single player games for Cube.(What I really have been waiting for.) Fun for everyone over 8 I would say.Buy it you will have a blast.(Seriously)

If you want short and sweet there is only one name for this, perfect. The game handles like a dream. With it's 25 hour play time, amazing levels, daziling gameplay, and the best little red man out there. This game is fun for all ages. Like all games there are "steps on the stair to Heaven" but once you have mastered these set-backs, sit back and enjoy the ride cause nintendo has pulled out all the stops. This is your best buy ever. No one can make the little Plummer man quit!

This is the Best game EVER!!

If for any other reason you consider buying a Gamecube, this is it. I bought this game the first day it was released and haven't stopped playing. The graphics are spectacular, the different worlds are awsome...and by the way I am 33 years old.
Many other good games have been given 5 stars, and many deserve that rating; however, it does this game no justice because I cannot give it any more stars. This game deserves at least 10 stars; it is at least twice as fun as the second best game.

I own both the Gamecube and Playstation2, and I have played over 100 games on both systems combined. SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE IS THE BEST GAME I HAVE PLAYED PERIOD!!
You will love this game, if you don't believe me, rent it first. I'm convinced after you play for a few hours, you will know this is one of those games you have to actually buy.
