i just barely bought this game yesterday and its FUN its easy to use...its a great game...mario he is takeing a vaction little does he know that its a ADVENTURE vaction so he gets there and he gos into court and has to clean up all the writeings and stuff on the walls and stuff...this is a great game and its fun

This is the Game Of The Year for the Gamecube. It has great graphics, great music, and a great storyline? I just got the game at FunCo Land today 9/27/02. I played it all day and am playing it know as I am writing this review. Go buy this game right now of order it online because it will be sold out!!

Trust me, this game is worth the money.

This game has next to no flaws in it. The first flaw I found is the controls are a little bit too complicated for a Mario game (ie: <,>, A to do a spuer jump and rotate Joystick and press A for tornado jump). The other minor flaw is that the camera angle often shifts at the worst times making you send Mario in the wrong direction (very, very annoying). Other wise the game is great. The Plot? Mario travels to the tropical Isle Delfino in search of a long awated vacation. When he arrives, he finds someone who looks exactly like Mario has been spreading sludge and grafiti all over the tropical paradise. The local police mistakeingly arrest Mario. Now, in order to clear his name and be freed from prison, Mario must clean up the mess and catch the Mario imposter.
The graphics are beautiful in this game and there are no skips in framerate. The camera angle is fully movable by the player (although it will automatically move itself to how it thinks you want it.... annoying) and the controls are smooth. Despite the somewhat complicated controls, you will grow used to them after about 15-30 min of gameplay. The game isn't a short one (by short I mean I didn't complete it in 2-3 hours) and the gameply becomes addicting.
Want a more specific description? Remember Super Mario 64? The controls, gameplay, almost everything was based off what they did in that game only it has been improved to GC standards.
If you liked Super Mario 64, you will love this game.

This game's really awesome for more than a reason. MY reason is that it's got a lot of cool stuff, like racing, cleaning, breaking, and other stuff.

PROS:
Not too easy, not too hard.
Great story (trouble on a tropical island)
Water tank serves as a spray gun, a jet pack, a jet pack, and a turbo thingy. (I said jet pack twice becasue there are 2 jetpack things that you can use)

CONS:
Lots of tropic places, like beaches, towns, and amusememt parks.
Battle bosses like fat piranahs, a huge caterpillar, and a giant whale.

I reserved mario about a month ago and I have been waiting and waiting for August 26 to come and now it has. As soon as I got home I put the game in and started playing. It is one of the greatest games ever made and probably the best game for the three next generation consoles. The water pack is brilliant so if you think it is just some stupid thing like the ghost sucker in luigi's mansion your wrong. The best part in the game is probably that Yoshi is back and you are able to ride him unlike Mario 64. If you have a gamecube you shhould get away from your computer buy it. If you dont have a gamecube you should get away from your computer and buy one along with mario. You won't be sorry.

Super Mario Sunshine Shines All The Way Through!

Mario returns to the Nintendo system, this time looking better than ever, yet with a new additive. FLUDD, a water pack, is Mario's new companion to clean and rid sludge from his vacation destination, as we all know. The graphics are beautiful, creating fantastic scenery, which we grew accustomed to in Mario 64. As in Mario 64, many of the same moves return in Super Mario Sunshine, such as the butt stomp and the jump configurations (single, double and triple jump). An interesting aspect of this game revolves around the transformation both Nintendo and Mario undertook. Many don't like the fact of using this new water pack. I agreed with them at first, mainly because it made this Mario game a little too abstract. But after playing this game over and over, I grew to understand Nintendo's perspective when they added the water pack. I even grew to like it! Another interesting aspect of the game is it's like none other. I haven't yet reached the end of the game, but I've heard various answers as to whether or not Bowser is in the game. So far, I have yet to see him. I like Nintendo's new approach on a new and facinating storyline, and the villains are new and exciting, making this game stand out from the other Mario games. Bowser and his family of creatures were fun to knock around, but this set of villains and this water base Mario are just as fun. The game is hard, which I like to think as a positive. I was afraid the game might be a little too short, like Luigi's Mansion, but I find its longevity long lasting. I also like the inclusion of many of the original characters, such as Prnicess Peach and Yoshi. Many people may complain about camera angles. I know what they mean; many times the camera does not let you see Mario because of a cliff or a hill or something in the camera's way. The camera can be manually adjusted, which I don't mind doing.

In conclusion, I think Super Mario Sunshine is an excellent game. Nintendo took a bold step to add new villains and the water pack, but it worked. Its difficulty provides hours of excitement, and the graphics really blow you away. The storyine, along with many other factors gives Mario a new perspective and outlook, but it truly ranks among all the other Mario games. Mario was really recreated in this game, giving us an anxious desire to see what the future for Mario births. This game is brilliant!

MARIO, is BACK in full flow. The new adventure is something fantastic. Big worlds, and all kinds of fun, hidden objectives. Mario took a six year vacation, and now, the day of release, he's back in a game which, takes a little getting used too. The water pack, I've got to admit is a new type of concept and carried out extremely well. the camera is a little lost, but then again... IT'S A MARIO GAME FOLKS. AND THE BEST ONE AT THAT!

This game is going to be so good!!! From what I heard, it is not going to be short like Luigis Mansion. I beat it once and i get tired of it. Mario with his water backpack is going to be so cool. I'm happy that there are many levels and the graphics are so good. I would reccomend this game to any-one. If you have gamecube, this game is a must get.

I loved this game!! I rarely get so far in a game. I usually have to get my dad or brother to beat it for me. But I'm soo far!! I have lost interest at some points, but then started playing again. The puzzles in it I did have to get help from my brother. They were, I think, pretty hard. So I could do, but most of them were really hard. I loved beating the bad guys!! And my favorite squirting tool was the one that made you go really fast. I would go on the water with that and it was soo much fun. :D I really loved the secret shine spirits!! That was fun looking for them too! This game was awesome!!<br /><br /> I gave it a 4 star because it wasn't my favorite game ever. I am a big fan of Final Fantasy. But it was really fun to play! I suggest if your good at maneuvering stuff, this is a game for you! <br /><br />
