Super Mario Sunshine is a great game. From Yoshi to FLUD You will love it. You get three nossels my favorite is the turbo. Once you beat the level it's not over, you can play each level 8 times and still get shines. The beggining is also funny. I myself am only at 43 shines. I recemend it, invest in it.

A great game

This game is great. It is fun to play and isn't too hard for kids, although I would recommend it for ages 6 and up. My sister loves it.

The graphics on this game are beautiful. If you let your mind go for a while and stare at the beaches on this game, you might accidentally think your on the beach. I'd give the graphics a 5/5.

The sound is awesome. They picked the perfect music. Let's say your fighting a boss. It will have this "trouble music" that kinda tells you that you need to get serious and beat that boss. If your at a place like Gelato Beach and your just walking around, it has this tropical music. Overall, I'd give the sound a 5/5.

The storyline is good. It all starts out by Mario arriving at Isle Delfino on The Delfino Airstrip. When the plane that Maro is in lands, they see a big spot of goop on the Airstrip. Peach asks Mario to check it out and while looking around, he finds FLUDD. You then have to....You know what? I'll let you find out on your own. If I don't, I'll say the whole story...You can really follow along with the story. You can practically know what's gonna happen, but it still suprises you over and over again. I'd give the story line 5/5.

There are many areas that you have to get shine sprites in. There is Pianta Village, Bianaco Hills, Noki Bay, Sirena Beach, Pinna Park, Gelato Beach, and Rico Harbor. Also ub this game, you will see an old friend. The people living here are called Piantas and Nokis. Piantas are chubby, pudding like creatures. They are frundly and strong. Some will throw you, but you will not get hurt. They are very cute. The Piantas do a dance called the "doot doot" dance which looks very cute. The Nokis are small creatures that look a bit like sea snails because they wear shells on their bodies and on thier heads. They have two legs and arms though. Nokis can swim, or more like live, underwater, but Piantas have to use floaties. This is a great game that I would recommend. Believe me, this game will keep you entertained.

An excellent Mario game on a superb gaming system

This game is simply top notch! It reflects the power of the GameCube and provides lasting hours of gameplay. If you loved Super Mario64 for the Nintendo 64 then you should love this game.

Wow, this is a great and challenging game. I played most of the Mario games and this one is probably the toughest. I still have not been able to finish the game. Simply put, this game contains many different worlds in which Mario has a specific goal or task to complete. Mario uses his water backpack for shooting the bad guys, flying for a short distance, rocketing up into the sky or running really fast. This goal or task for each level is not always clear and part of the fun is figuring this out. The imagination in Mario's world is fantastic and every child and most adults would enjoy this game. This game requires a high level of hand / eye coordination that I probably had when I was a kid. I have been playing videogames since the Atari 2600 and I believe Mario Sunshine is the best adventure game out for the Gamecube. It would probably be even better with more verbal dialog (reading text is ok but sometimes it would be nice to hear Mario say more). I hope this helps!

Could use some fine touches

Super Mario Sunshine is the best game I have ever played! Mario Party 4 is fun too, but not as fun as Super Mario Sunshine!!! The secrets are very very VERY hard, but that's what makes them fun! My fave area is the amusment park, Pinna park. There is also, Delfino Plaza, Bianco Hills, Ricco Harbor, Gelato Beach, Pinna Park, Sirena Beach, Noki Bay, Pianta Village, and Corona Mountain, where you fight Bowser. I love the game! I don't want to stop playing!!!

I have been an avid video gamer since the days of Atari, and one of my favorite titles has been Mario. Each time a new Mario game comes out; a lot of my time is spent on it. And Super Mario Sunshine is no exception.
The game play is excellent, but there were a couple of times I had to battle the camera to get the view I wanted. The Graphics are supreme, but we all know that doesn't make a good game. The level design is awesome, I spent plenty of time just messing around in the levels as opposes to beating that mission.
Nintendo has some very talented programmers working for them, and it makes me warm inside knowing this.
If you are looking for a game that will keep you busy, and stays fresh the whole way through, then I can whole heartily suggest this game.

SMS is awesome.

Super Mario Sunshine shines(pun very much intended) because it uses every gameplay trick in the platforming book and it does it remarkably well. Slick controls, good sound and vibrant graphics round out this great package. You've done it again Nintendo, buy Super Mario Sunshine and if you don't have a Gamecube, pick one up!

It's-a me! Mario! I'm-a back-a! Better than ever!

I want to say this game rocks. I was left frustrated when I finished the last Mario four times in a row, and when I had to wait six years to finally see a new installment of the happy little Italian plumber. I was expecting something great, and let me tell you that you CAN get your hopes up extremely high. Shigyeru Myamoto and his team of crowd pleaser did a great job. My hopes about this game were by far overwhelmed. The good thing is this game is long. Very long. Unless you know everything by heart there is no way you will finish it in less than thirty hours, accounting for the fact that you want to get all the shines. And there is 120 of them soooo...heheheh! The graphics are excellent, the water effects are the best i've ever seen(maybe along with the water effets in STARFOX Adventures)
The sounds are great, although it is pretty hard to hear the characters talk during the cutscenes because the music is very loud (yes, they have actual voices now! Alas, Mario is the only one who does not. Although was given profusion of woohoo's, yehaa's and yahh's for this game by the great Charles Martinet.)
The controls are tight, so very tight, like any Mario game, and you can expect finding the trademark moves, like the triple jump, super jump, plus some new ones (about 30), provided by the water nuzzles you get. The only glitch I see in this game are the difficulty at times, where you wish your controller was made of concrete when you throw it at the wall in sheer frustration because you lost 20 lives trying to reach that one platform. And believe, me, it as happened to me and I'am not exagerating. Also, when will anyone figure how to make a platformer with good camera movement. There is always that one platfom you miss because of the lousy camera angle. (sometimes it even comes to having a building between you and the Marioman, where Mario becomes a shadow you see through solid concrete. That was what I liked about Luigi's Mansion. Objects would get transparent.)

Other that that I have 51 shines right now, and have not yet resorted to using a guide, but I'm this close.
Overall, I give this game 11/10. If you love Mario, and all related to it, get this game as soon as possible. Otherwise, get it anyways.
