In Super Mario Sunshine, Mario goes on vacation. Somebody disguised as him graffitis all over the place. The locals blame Mario and won't let him off the island until the whole mess is cleaned up. It might sound stupid, but that is only five minutes into the game. SMS is truly the best game for Gamecube. It is a shame that Xbox and PS2 can't make a game as good as this. Here are some features.

4. FLUDD(The Water Pack)
5. New moves
6. Tons of secrets
= a great game

I love every mario game.And this one is good.
This is one of my favorite games for gamecube.
And i played it for hours.This game is a must buy.

Didgu know, this is the reason why I got my name. Other than that, Mario has been around 4 over 22 years, and he has never dissapointed me in a series realese, and this is his latest. After 6 long years after the revolotionary Mario 64, Mario is back, and this game in my opionion lives up to the hype. And why is gamespot calling this the most dissapointin game of the year? As far as I'm conserned, this is one of the best game of the year. It may not be Mario 64, but this has evrey right to be call one of the best mario games ever. I rented it, and ended up buyin it the next day. If u have a cube, it be a shame if u didn't have this in ur collection.

Mario takes his line of glorious games one step further!

Super Marios 64 was a huge hit for me. Challenges, puzzles, out of this world levels, and Mario himself taken to a whole new level!

Nintendo has done it again with Super Mario Sunshine and this game is not to be ignored by a Gamecube owner or anyone who is a fan of Mario. Mario tries to take a vacation from all his crime-fighting days in the Mushroom Kingdom on the sunshiny island of Delfino, only to find himself being blamed for crimes he didn't commit! The whole island is covered with graffiti and paint pools. Someone who is impersonating Mario is up to no good. And just who is that? You'll see soon enough. Your mission? To retrieve the Shine Sprites that light up this tropical paradise so that the islanders can live out their lives as they normally would and, of course, to clear Mario's name.

Mario's water weapon pack is a totally cool new leap to Mario. It's about time he was given a new weapon. This game is a must have! All the worlds in Super Mario Sunshine are so vivid and colorful and life-like that it can almost seem like you're actually there. The Shine Sprites make a the game different than other Mario adventures, since Mario has been so into super mushrooms, fire flowers, and super stars. Unlike in Super Mario 64, he's out to gather sun-like objects with a radiant glow. Isle Delfino itself is quite a place. The Sprites start out fairly easy to find, and as you go on through the game, they get harder and harder to find. Yoshi is in this game too.

In my opinion, while Super Mario 64 is still a fine game, I just can't compare it to this game. Sunshine is extremely fun, right from the first shine to the last.

Graphics: MUCH better than I expected! Very attractive, although it may be a little grainy at close view.
Rating: 9/10

Sound: Great themes, amusing voices and great general sound effects.
Rating: 10/10

Gameplay: Amazing! This is the part of the game that struck me as near impossible to beat. The gameplay is more fun, interesting and inspired than the 64 game. 10/10 is an understatment...
Rating: 10/10

Lasting Value: 120 shines, 240 blue coins, a compliment of levels, bosses, and 'special stages' that take on more old style Mario tricks. Unfortunatly, it doesn't take all that long to get most of the shines and beat the game.
Rating: 8/10

i personally think this game is better than super smash bros. melee. i love is game. don't get me wrong i like melee, but i think that i am more partial to this because it is more of an adventure game, were as melee is is a combo of fighting and adverture.

at any rate, this game has a good plot and you really don't get tired of playing it. i was frustrated sometimes w/ melee because i would be fighting and would get to the magic hand and it would always beat me.

sunshine is original and is meant for the young and old alike, and in gamimg i consider myself older (23 years old). most of the NGC title are meant for the younger generation, but i must say that this game appealed to me because i am such a HUGE mario bros. fan.

lastly, i want to say to everyone you have to buy this game it is soooo fun, i has a higher replay value that melee (to me). i just got mario party 4 and I HOPE that it is just as fun as this game is. the lady in circuit city said if you like sunshine than you'll like MP4.

Mario's Back!
I own a PS2, an Xbox, and a GameCube. Which game has me hooked right now? Which game just made 2 anda half hours fly by because I was having so much fun? Which game has me rushing home from work to play it? Which game had me smiling before I actually even started a level?
If you already own this game, then you already know the answer.
Super Mario Sunshine is a great game so far. I'm 21 Shines into it and there are 120 Shines in total. The game does feel a little harder than previous Mario games, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. It has more of a storyline. Some wonderful graphic effects. Big levels. Lots of surprises. and FUN,FUN,FUN.
Stop sitting on the fence and just buy this game. Hundreds of thousands of gamers are enjoying right now. It's received excellent reviews from IGN, Gamers.com, and EGM.

THIS GAME RULES! A must-buy. There are so many different levels,and the're huge! Okay, so Mario and Peach and the Toads go on vacation, but shadow Mario [Baby Bowser] is disguised as the real Mario and pollutes the island [Isle Delfino] with a toxic sludge in attempt to get Mario in jail. Unfortunatly, his plan works. Mario's punishment is to clean up the island, and restore it's power source the Shine Sprites. A few times Mario runs into Shadow Mario, teh real villain. To defeat shadow Mario, you must spray him with Fludd, Mario's jetpack- like thing. Fludd helps Mario with his task, and fighting bosses, like Petey the Pirrana Plant, in many worlds with ten smaller levels. Eventually, you end up fighting Bowser in a classic mushroom-kingdom clash. The game gets kind of long, but it will keep you occupied for a while. You must have this game!!!!

First off, I want to address anyone who ha sstated that there are "Pre-Rendered, CG Cutscenes" There are NONE, everything in the game, including cutscenes is all rendered in real-time.

Second I've got to say how much fun this game is, it's a ton of fun =)

The controls are excellent, the graphics are great, the sound is great. The thing I like most about it is the difficulty, it is great to have a challenging game in the world of cookie-cutter games made for your casual gamer.

It's a ton of fun and I highly recommend it for gamers of all ages!

This game is awesome! As for the person who gave it a bad rating, I'm convinced that they didn't play the game past the opening level. There is so much more to this game than just cleaning up graffiti. Yes, the water backpack that Mario uses can and is used for cleaning graffiti throughout PART of the game, but it is also used as Mario's weapon. There are also different nozzle attachments you can pick up along the way which turns the water pack in to a rocket, or a turbo propeller, which are necessary throughout certain parts of the game.

Anyone reading this, I promise you, if you're looking for a fun, adventurous game for your Gamecube, that actually requires you to think strategically (instead of mindless shooting at anything and everything in sight, like all the carbon copied first first shooters out there) and your a Mario fan, this is the game for you. In short, this game IS awesome!
