FINALLY!!! A new sonic game. We had Sonic games on the Gamecube before but they were all originally on another console. They were running on an old gaming engine as well. But this game is a work of art. Everything, the new team formation, the graphics, the storyline (which is interesting because Shadow survived but he doesnt remember how because he got an amnesia and also that his enemy is now Eggman also). There are 4 teams of 3 characters each. Team Sonic has Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Team Dark has Shadow, Rouge, and this new robot guy that was created/betrayed by Eggman called Omega. Team Rose has Amy, Cream and her chao friend Cheese, and Big the Cat. Another excellent thing as well. The people from Knuckles Chaotix returned. Team Chaotix contains Espio, Vector, and Charmy. They all are against Eggman. BUY THIS THE 1ST DAY IT COMES OUT!!!!

I played a demo of Sonic Heroes on the bonus Mario Kart double dash game and I loved it. (this is coming from a big sonic fan even with sonic stuffed animals(avalible on ebay))If you like sonic games this is great. You can play with 3 characters at a time and each have its own ability. I also suggest getting Sonic adventure 2 battle and Sonic adventure DX. (for those who played adventure 2 battle Shadow comes back!. These are also great and I have a feeling you wont be sorry for getting Sonic Heroes!
Happy New Year!
A great casual fun platform game

Fans of Sonic the Hedgehog will be interested in seeing him in a new setting - in a jumping platform game using 3 heroes at a time.
Sonic originally came from Sega systems, and has had several versions on Nintendo now. Usually Sonic is a rolling fiend, zipping along tracks. In this case, you can choose from one of four teams, each of different difficulty levels. For example, the 'Chaotix' team is made up of a bee, an alligator and a mysterious purple horned Sonic-like guy. The three run along levels together, gathering golden rings, beating up on monsters.
Each character has his or her own special powers. If the 'flying' one of the group leads, the trio can now fly to higher levels. There's usually a fast member and a strong member in each group as well, for breaking objects and zooming along tracks.
You have to figure out in each situation who to lead with, to get past the current obstacle. This might be easy on early levels, but it does get to be a tough challenge in later missions!
The graphics are reasonably good, with nice details on surfaces, although it's sort of clear that textures were just mapped on rather bsic shapes. The maps are very large and you have full mobility through an entire map without loading times, so that's great.
Each team is a different level of difficulty with its own characters, voices and plot - so it's great to start with the easy levels, learn how the characters and gameplay work, and then move up through the more difficulty levels. Yes, the easy levels are easy. They're meant to be! But there definitely is more challenge as you get to the harder levels, so play through to find your challenge level.
In the beginning it's obvious which character to use in a situation, but as you work through the choices become harder and harder. The maps are so large that you can approach a given puzzle from many different directions, with any of the characters under your control.
The music is actually pretty good for a game, but some of the voices are REALLY annoying.
All in all, a great idea for a platformer. With so many platformers using pairs of characters now (Ratchet & Clank, Jax & Daxter etc) going to 3 was a natural progression. A good mindless game to wile away the hours with!

This Sonic game might be the best if the camera views wasn't so bad. Anyway this game has five teams Team dark, Team Sonic, Team Rose,Team Chaotix, and Team Super witch you have to unlock. You can switch trough three characters by pressing the X and Y buttons and each character has a special technique, speed power and fly, use different ones in order to overcome obsticals. Each Character has a level up two(3 is maximum) you can get these by destroying enemies or bosses. The coins are still rings and you lose a life by restarting the game like Sonic Adventure 2, but you can get an extra life by getting one hundred rings. This game also features the return or Metal Sonic! Oh and I forgot to mention that at the end of each stage you get a ranking ( A,B,C,D,E) E is the worst A is the best. Sonic Heroes has 14 (long)massive levels that will give you hours of gamplay. It doesn't take much practice once you get use to the buttons or if you have been playing adventure games. The graphics are cool and they look similair to the Sonic on Dreamcast, but it is a great game and it is out now in Wal mart K mart or any store you go to.

For those how don't know much about this game you should read on...
1. Almost everybody says "DON'T BUY THIS.YOU HAVE TO CONTROL 3 GUYS AT ONCE" that is, before more resent reviews came out. Well anyways, the system will get red of that problem.
2. Shadow survives but gets amnesia.
3. NO HUB OR CHAO GARDTEN. This is still a great game though, just don't take 3. seriously (actually it's easier to get levels and stuff).
5. Get all the chaos emeralds to unlock team super. If I were you I'd do it with team rose she's easier to beat it with(although seeing Amy beat up her boy friend just to marry him is a little too far. And If Amy rose was reading this, she should be more obnoxious. I've never seen so much entertainment between those two in years!!!)
I hope you found this helpful.

In this game, you get to choose the team you want to play as and see their stories.
In Team Sonic's story: Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, and Knuckles the Echidna get a letter from Dr. Eggman saying that they only have 72 hours until Dr. Eggman unleashes his Metal Sonic doomsday device on the world.
In Team Dark's story, Rouge the Bat is flying around and finds Shadow the Hedgehog (he's back) and Omega the Robot (E-123) capsulized. Omega is furious that Dr. Eggman disposed of him and wants revenge. Shadow is rendered of his memory and wants to go after Dr. Eggman to find out what really happened to himself. Thus, Team Dark is formed.
In Team Rose's story, Amy Rose reads about Sonic going after Dr. Eggman and she is mad because Sonic didn't bring her along. Big the Cat is still looking for his best friend Froggy. Cream the Rabbit and Cheese the Chao are looking for Chocolate. Here comes Team Rose!
In Team Chaotix's story, Vector the Crocodile, Espio the Chameleon, and Charmy the Bee form a detective agency and they've been offered a huge amount of money by a mysterious person if they investigate a mysterious case. Vector sees this as a great opportunity to outsmart and get back at Dr. Eggman after what happened in "Knuckles Chaotix."
Great!

I'm really excited about Sonic Heroes. I enjoy that they brought back Chaotix. Espio is my favorite character. I played the demo and I was impressed. They many different moves added to the fun. It has much more solid gameplay then sonic adventure 1 or 2. I heard there might be a secret team if you get all the Chaos Emeralds from the bonus stages. Maybe Team Super?
This game will go down in history.

Sonic Heroes is a game which uses a whole new style of gameplay. The main focus being teamwork, players control four teams, each consisting of three characters. There is Team Sonic, featuring Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, Team Dark, with Shadow, Rouge, and a new robot named Omega, Team Rose, consisting of Amy, Cream, and Big, and the return of the Chaotix in Team Chaotix, which has Espio, Vector, and Charmy in it. Each team has three formations, which each character is assigned to. The formations are: speed, flying, and power. Speed characters are used to zip through the level, power characters are used to get rid of obstacles and enemies, and the flying characters are used to reach higher places. Also, each team has a different style of gameplay. In Team Sonic, the focus is to get through the level quickly and stylishly. Team Dark's gameplay is more focused on combat, so expect high amounts of enemies. Team Rose is designed to be used by beginners, think of them as Team Sonic on easy mode. Team Chaotix, however, requires the player to use stealth and to sometimes collect items. All in all, this game looks extremely fun, and hits GameCube January 7th in North America. The Xbox and PS2 versions follow on the 27th, so be on the lookout!
Oh, and by the way, don't be fooled by their name, but Team Dark is, indeed, good.

I have never played a Sonic game before, save Sonic Adventure 2 Battle at electronics stores, but when I played Sonic Heroes on my demo disk that came with Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, I was immediately hooked. This could easily be one of the best games I have ever played. I would reccomend this game to anybody!
You'll want to play it again and again and again

This game is loads of fun. It's as good as Sonic Adventure 1 and Sonic Adventure 2.
First, let me start off with the characters. There are four teams. Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose, and Team Chaotix. Team Sonic is composed of the original heroes, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Team Dark features Shadow, Rouge, and a new character, E-123, a.k.a. Omega. Team Rose is made up of Amy, Cream, and Big. And finally, Team Chaotix brings back our long lost heroes from Knuckles Chaotix, Espio, Charmy, and Vector. Sonic Team kicked out Mighty. Haha.
Team Rose is the ideal team for beginners to Sonic the Hedgehog games, Team Sonic is for intermediate players, and Team Dark is for the really advanced ones. Team Chaotix has unique missions, so it doesn't really matter if you're bad at Sonic games or not. You're gonna be searching for stuff, like a scavenger, so it's different.
I have to say that these 12 characters are a very good thing to the Sonic storyline. It's not just a dumb "run around the place and beat Eggman with no reason whatsoever" game. Now since the characters interact, there is a storyline, and it makes the game make sense, and more fun.
The graphics ROCK. Especially if you buy the Gamecube version, that's the one I bought.
The team themes are awesome. I recommend listening to the Team Chaotix and Team Dark theme. Those two are the best. The Team Rose theme is okay. And the Team Sonic theme...well...it's not good...The opening Sonic Heroes theme is also awesome, and I have not much to say about Eggman's theme. I haven't listened to it in a while.
There are 14 levels, and bonus stages as well. And they are FUN. Loads of fun. You'll instantly get used to the three character action; you can change characters with the push of a button.
When you've got a friend at your house, you can play 2P on this game. It's not really all that great, and I recommend the 2P on Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, but, ohh well. It's still 2P.
Overall, I give this game an 11 out of 10. You will probably too. Or at least a 10.
