Hey Sonic fans, if you like the old sonic games like sa2b, sa2, sadx, or sa than i garuntee you'll think this game sucks. Nothing different. Notta. You would expect something more exciting like...new characters and enemies. Nope, that's not how it goes... yeah yeah yeah same old characters, and metal sonig AGAIN? IM SICK OF HIM OVER AND OVER! The story line is bad! I mean...really all it is is simple. And MAN is this game ANNOOOOOOYING! I mean every minute you have to here these squeaky voices, like Tails' new voice (which REALLY sucks because it makes him look like he's a worthless little kid.)saying how to beat it, like a four year old game! Graphics...man the movies are good but the game too many bright colors! I mean all i here is LET'S GET EM, LET'S GO, LEAVE IT TO ME, I CAN DO IT, ROCK ON KNUCKLES AND BLAH BLAH BLAH! I can NOT beleive sonic team made this game...it seems like some stupid pokemon guy made this...(just like SonicX which is SOOO messed up with humans in it)Do NOT i repeat DO NOT BUY THIS GAME YOU WOULD BE WASTING A VALUABLE 50.00$ IF YOU DO!

If I were you I would rent this game first. From Sonic's first adventure on the genesis up till SADX Sonic was a huge hit. On my scale Sonic went from a 5 down to about a 3.5. Why did they even put knuckles on his team because he was his second worst enemy(first is Eggman, hehe) back in the early 90's. Sonic should always fly solo or with his best pal Tails and not flying around in weird formations and making fantasised attacks.
If you still intend on getting a Sonic game on crack then rent this before you buy it.
A disgrace to the Sega name

This game is a disgrace to the Sega name!*Rages, storms around.* Sure, the chaotix team is fun to play as, but apart from that, non-buyers arn't missing a thing. I rented this game yesterday, and I'm so glad I didn't buy it. There are four teams, each with thier own level of hardness. Team rose(amy, cream, and big)is the easy team. Team sonic(sonic, tails, and knuckles) and team chaotix(espio, charmy bee,and vector) are the medium teams. Team dark(shadow, rouge, and omega) is the hard team.I'm listing the game's pros. and cons. below.
Pros.
1. Chaotix team!
Cons.
(Get ready)
1. camera veiw didn't improve
2. annoying voices
3. you can fall through the ground
4. only fourteen levels!
5. only two unlockables(team super(super sonic, super tails, hyper knuckles)and armor)
6. bosses too easy
7. aiming's faulty
8. what? No catchy music?
9. characters tell you what to do
10. some levels too simple
Well, it looks like we each learned something during this reveiw. You learned not to get Sonic Heroes, and I learned not to...well, never mind.

the basic formula to ruin a sonic game is to throw in extra playable characters, now play as three at one time? no thanks
Sonic should be about running and rings this game was mostly about that but it gets to the point where you're running around the halloween/haunted house levels for hours and hours! i still have not beaten that game and i've had it for years.
sure it's ok...but once you beat it you'll never want to play it again i

I've had this game since the day it came out. It was extremely hyped by Sega, and it was made to look like the absolute best Sonic game ever. Okay, that's all find and dandy...except when you see that it is not the best Sonic game ever.
Story: Well, for the most part, the story is pretty ridiculous. I wonder what they were thinking when they thought of Eggman (or metal sonic, who whoever it was) actually sending Sonic a letter saying he would take action in 3 days. And, as completely ridiculous as the story is, it is simply not told very well. You pretty much have to read the plot off wikipedia or some sonic fan site to have any idea what is going on in this game. The Sonic Team is probably the only team that has anything to with the central storyline. The other teams are doing little side stories, that the game could've totally gone on without. In my eyes, they're only there to keep the game from being incredibly short. The ending, by the way, is totally ridiculous, and it's something I'd never really expect Sonic, or anyone with any sense, would do.
(by the way, if you think I've just said the word "ridiculous" too many times, I have no excuse other than that "ridiculous" is pretty much the definition of anything that happens in this game story-wise)
Gameplay: Now, we have a pretty dumb storyline, but what about actually playing the game? It can be fun, in some places. There are definitely certain levels that I just enjoy playing. But there are others that I just quit on and don't even bother with. Playing as 3 characters at the same time was a good idea, but when I actually experienced it, I couldn't help but miss playing as one character only, so I can get what I want without having to deal with the rest. It's not a terrible system, but I would really rather playing as Sonic/Tails/Knuckles alone. Maybe that way, I wouldn't have to deal with all three of them spewing out idiotic one-liners over and over and over again.
The pinball levels are the absolute worst things I've had to sit through in a Sonic game. They were just frustrating, boring, and not fun at all. It was fun in Sonic Spinball and Sonic Adventure, but here it's just dreadful.
Overall, Sonic Heroes is inferior to almost every 3-D Sonic game released before. A ridiculous story which was terribly executed, 3 other teams which I view as total wastes, an alright team system, terrible dialogue, and a game that just makes me miss playing the Adventure series, or almost every other Sonic game. The only things it improves on from previous 3-D Sonic games is the homing attack, and the speed dash.
Another Disappointment

If you, like me, were playing Sonic the Hedgehog back in 1993 when the game first debuted, then you undoubtedly remember the classic game play that made the franchise what it is today and allowed it to withstand the seemingly endless onslaught of one mediocre 3D game after another.
Alas, this game is not the return to the classic 2D speed I had hoped, but rather follows in the footsteps of Sonic Adventure with its endless menagerie of characters, annoying camera glitches, and clunky 3D game play. If the first Sonic game you ever played was "Adventures" or its ilk, then you might like this sort of thing, but if you're looking for a real break from the tired rut Sonic has fallen into, this isn't it.
In the end, Sonic Team has created yet another pretty looking, but poorly playing game. The various "teams" are virtually identical in every way but ascetics, and in many cases the chose of which of the 3 "modes" to use is spelled out for you on in the level itself, removing even that decision from the player. And of course, there is the usual array of blind jumps, and the insane camera that has been a hallmark of every 3D Sonic game to date. In fact, the camera has an odd habit of pointing in the way it wants you to go, and not the direction you are actually going, which is particularly annoying during "Team Chaotix" inane collection levels when you have to backtrack.
Frustrating and confusing.A very disappointing game.

Ive played Sonic Adventure DX,Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and my favorite of all Sonic Mega Collection and was definitely not disappointed by any of them but this game is a different story.I mean I can accept that Sonic Team want to try new things with the Sonic characters but this game goes about it in all the wrong ways. The first 3 or 4 levels are pretty fun but after that it all becomes tedious and hard.I love a challenging game.I mean Ocarina Of Time is the best game Ive ever played because of all the challenges but that was a role playing game.A platformer should be challenging but not frustrating. It wrecks the whole experience but if youre really good at all sorts of games you might find that you like this.Thats the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.Its just OK.
