Sonic comes to Nintendo with and incredible game

Sure it's pretty much the same game as the Dreamcast version, but this game is fantastic! Choosing to play as either the good or bad side, you travel through level after level, collecting rings, finding emerald pieces, and blasting countless enemies. Each side has three different characters with three different level types. Sonic and Shadow both have action stages, Rouge and Knuckles both have treasure hunting levels, and Tails and Dr. Robotnick (Egg Man) have Robot Mech Shooter levels. Though both the good and bad sides levels are similar, they revolve around different plots, that eventually converge into one spectacular evolving plot line. As an addition to the game, you have to raise a little creature called a Chao. As you go through the levels of the game, you collect items to give your Chao that increase its abilities. After a good deal of training you can race your Chao, or even pit it against another in Chao Karate. Back to the game itself though, the graphics are superb, play control can be somewhat difficult due to the irritating camera, the music is fantastic with many songs having lyrics to them, and the game design which I have discussed, is fantastic. The multiplayer mode is fun for two players, but it would have been nice if it were expanded for four players. The game also has a great deal of extras pakced into it. Each level actually has 5 missions, and some of them are very difficult. This game has a lot of depth, a lot of extras, and is overall fantastic. Plus, it can link up to Sonic Advance for GBA to train your Chao further. As I said, it's a fantastic game.

It's got something for everyone!

Sonic the Hedgehog used to be a huge hit for the Sega system. Now that Sega isn't a competitor any more, the GameCube has picked up this star and expanded its gameplay.

First, for normal gameplay, you now get to choose from a good or bad team instead of just one character. Each team is made up of 3 individual characters. You can be the "good guys" - Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Or you can choose to be the "bad guys" - Dr. Eggman, Shadow, and Rouge.

Each team through stages in their own path, and the end result of each path comes together. The stages are fun to play, as the various characters have their own styles of missions and quests.

In addition, there is also a multiplayer fighting mode. You can do an Action Race battle where four sonic-like characters (each with their own strengths and weaknesses) get to race along tracks. There are treasure-hunt races, and shooting battles.

For some, the best part are the Chao parts of the game. A chao is a little creature you raise from an egg. Depending on how you raise it, the creature can turn out good and loving, or dark and evil. You can then race your Chaos or let them karate-battle each other. It's your own little GameCube Black-and-White Creature!

Definitely a game with something for everyone, whether your gaming addiction tends towards racing, fighting, or creature-rearing!

A thrilling and gorgeous Gamecube sequel to Sonic Adventure.

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is a port of the Dreamcast version, but with bonus features and added challenges. A top secret project leads Dr. Robotnik to find Shadow, a mysterious black hedgehog who resembles Sonic and immediately has a strong rivalry to his blue counterpart. Shadow and Dr. Robotnik join forces along with the help of Rouge the Bat in the conquest to take over the world and destroy Sonic and his friends -- but Sonic and his friends aren't going to stand by. The adventure will span across gigantic zones and beyond -- but Sonic is more determined than ever to stop the evil. Sonic and Shadow try to stop each other by blazing across breathtakingly gorgeous and fast levels such as Metal Harbor, Green Forest, White Jungle, and other insanely beautiful and fast levels. Tails and Robotnik have to get the end of the levels for their own goals in a powerful machine that can shoot almost anything. Hunt for hidden emeralds in engaging but sometimes frustratingly hard levels with Knuckles against Rouge, and Rouge against Knuckles. The Sonic/Shadow levels are amazing and addictive, the Tails/ Robotnik levels are fun and surprising, and the Knuckles/Rouge levels are very engaging but can get frustrating because of the challenges it presents. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is even better than its predeccor, and is darker in storyline and the most engaging, thrilling game I have ever played. That is just the Adventure Mode of the game, and you can choose to beat it with either Hero Mode or Dark Mode. Added features include 2P mode, which adds an additional six characters, such as Amy, Metal Sonic, and Tikal. Kart Race, another additional mode, lets you race against others in fast gameplay. You can replay past zones and bosses and many other things, but most of all, the fun of the adventure never dies. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is an amazing Gamecube port of the Dreamcast sequel to Sonic Adventure,
and the graphics are simply incredible. The game feels like the thrill of flying at an insane speed, and the various areas are detailed and absolutely gorgeous to simply look at. This is a must-have for the Gamecube, and especially recommended for those who like adventure with an exciting feel. I can't understand why this Gamecube version got some bad reviews, because aside from the camera angles, this game has about everything you could ask for and is among the best games out there.

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is going to be a great game for Gamecube! It's the original Sonic Adventure 2 for Sega Dreamcast, but has brand new features! The game will have better detailed graphics and best of all new characters for multiplayer! In the first SA2 you were required to get medals for each character to unlock the new characters for multi-player, but now they're already playable from the start! Also with the addition of being able to link SA2: Battle to the Game Boy Advance game Sonic Advance, it will be even more fun to train your Chao! If you liked SA2 for Dreamcast, or just like Sonic the Hedgehog you will love this game!

This is a great game. Why?First it has all the adventure from the Dreamcast game, but has alot more to offer. For instance, all the multiplayer characters are avaliable from the start. And you get tons more courses. You can race through(and snowboard)through cities, harbors, pyramids, and a final rush.Shoot through deserts and army bases. And go on treasure hunts in ancient ruins and in space. We still get to race carts too!And just for fun they added new characters too. And how can we forget those lovable chaos. Now you can expand your chao raising experiance by linking up to a game boy advance. So if your a sonic fan or new to the sonic world.Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is one of the best games out thier. And I don't expect this to be the last time we see Sonic.

SA2B has to be one of the best games I have ever played. Here's why:

As soon as you play the first level of the Hero storyline (my favorite level), you'll be hooked.

With two storyline's and 180 missions to complete, you won't be done with this game for a while. There's even a secret storyline...

Multiplayer modes are insanely fun. While you can only play with 2 players at a time, the amount of fun you get makes up for it. There are many Multiplayer modes: Action Race, Robot Battle, Treasure hunt, Chao racing, Chao Karate, and Kart racing.

There are some pretty original ideas. You can grind down rails and slide down city streets on a snowboard while pulling crazy tricks off ramps.

The music in this game is unbeatable.

The storyline is very good, offering suspense, action, and even a few touching moments.

You can raise adorable little creatures called chao. You can even transfer chao from Sonic Advance into your chao garden.

This game is Awesome! I never thought I'd be playing Sonic on a Nintendo console but he seems right at home on the fantastic Gamecube! I haven't played the Dreamcast version so I can't compare the two but the graphics for this version are amazing! there is so much detail and it's soooooo fast! When you start your main game you have the choice of playing the hero side with Sonic and friends or the dark side with Shadow and co. this makes the main game even more interesting. The multiplayer is also allot of fun there are seven mimi games three of which have to be unlocked (I'm still trying to get the last one) my favourite is racing down the city streets it's a blast literally!
This is one of the must have titles along with Smash Bros. Melee for the Gamecube. Like it predecessors it's a classic already.

If I hadn't already played this on the Dreamcast, I would have thought it was made specifically for the GC. It's a very Nintendo type of game, with lots of great graphics sounds, and blazing speed. Still haven't played a game as fast as Sonic. This is the best Sonic game in the series and anyone who picks this up will not be disappointed. It's got everything you want in a game. Enjoy!

It's a Bird, It's a PLane, It's Sonic & Friends!

Toward the end of the Dreamcast's life SEGA released some of the best DC titles ever: Crazy Taxi 2, Phantasy Star Online, PSO Ver. 2, & Sonic Adventure 2, the wonderful sequel to the wonderful DC launch game Sonic Adventure. The DC version of this game already rocks, are you ready for the GameCube version? In the game, an evil hedgehog known as Shadow is stealing chaos emeralds. Sorry for Sonic, everybody believes that Sonic is the one stealing everything. Also, the master emerald has shattered! Now Knuckles & a female bat, Rogue, are flying around collecting master emerald pieces. Also, Tails & Robotnick run around in their robot suits. "This is the bottom line, cause Stone Cold said so:" This game absolutelly rocks on the Dreamcast. If you have a DC & a GC get this version for extra features. If you own a GC & no DC, it's time you met the hedgehog from town.

Sonic's New Adventure

Personally, I love Sonic games. Ever since we got Sonic 2 on the Sega Genesis, I couldn't get enough. I've played every Sonic game, and this one is a true addition to the series.
As soon as I learned of it's existence, I had to buy Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. And let me tell you, I wasn't dissapointed. The gameplay is absolutely excellent, with the varying techniques you have to use in Sonic/Shadow, Tails/Eggman, Knuckles/Rouge levels. Sonic/Shadow levels are fast-paced, exciting levels with amazing scenery and great music. Two of my favorites are City Escape and Green Forest. I like to turn the volume way up and jam to the rock music while zipping through incredible graphics. Tails/Eggman levels are slower and sometimes tough levels, especially if you haven't gotten various upgrades yet. Knuckles' levels are interesting, challenging search levels with some really laid-back music and go-at-your-own-pace speed. Rouge has some disco-style music, but some of the later levels for her get really, REALLY frustrating.
If the game is too short for you, remember you can choose to play both the hero story and dark story. Both are very fun, although the plot takes itself WAY to seriously and sometimes they didn't do a good job of adjusting the BGM volume level to be lower than the voice acting. But even if you run through both stories quickly, you can still spend hours with a friend on the multiplayer levels, which are suprisingly addicting.
And if Single and Multiplayer levels aren't enough to keep your attention, spend some time chillin' in the Chao Garden. You won't leave. The Chao are little Tamogatchi-style creatures that you hatch and raise with different attributes to later fight or race them. It seems weird but you end up spending more time raising these things than actually playing the rest of the game.
Either way, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is a must have for any Sonic fan, and a must have for anyone else that just has a Game Cube.
