Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is an awsemone game. You can be the dark side (Shadow,Robotnik,Rouge) or the good Side(Sonic Tails, Nuckles). If you play the dark side You can blow up the earth and some thing happens to sonic but you'll have to but it if you want to find out. It has tons of new levels but still lives up to the old school sonic games and more. I got this game a week ago and am flying through most of it. The hard levels are thouse of nuckles and rouge the bat because you have to find hidden emralds and keys. The good thing about the game is that afetr you beet the level in Story mode you can play it again in stage select with 4 different objectives. You can raise a chao wich is prety fun except that if you take it to chao kindergarton it takes forever to get over. All in all this is the best sonic game I have ever played and hope they come out withnmore like this one.

This game is totally awsome. If you liked Sonic Adventure 2 you'l love Sonic Advnture 2 Battle. It's so wicked that if your mom told you to brush your teeth you would not hear her. I know this because this happend to me.The graphics are so good that they show the smallest details. I was really dissipointed when Shadow died because he was my favorite character also, the game is weird because the 2d to last boss is harrder then the last.
Great game but has a few flaws to keep it from a perfect 5.

Ok, so let's imagine you're a big Sonic the Hedgehog fan. You see Sonic Adventure 2 on the store shelves. Should you buy it? Let's see...
The Good:
There are very many high points in this game, and the high points are obviously what makes this game shine. Graphics are excellent, running at a smooth 60 frames per second. You'll have no trouble seeing what's going on, and you won't constantly have to go all around a level to figure out where you're supposed to be. Full color, high number of polygons, and not a sense of blur even when Sonic is running so fast everything looks like it's going backwards. Gameplay is great, like any Sonic game. However, in this Sonic game, you don't just run really really fast through loops and stuff (which you will, no doubt), but you two other modes of play. Knuckles the Echidna and Rouge the Bat both go searching for parts of the chaos emeralds (gemstones that are supposedly very powerful), and Miles "Tails" Prower (a double-tailed fox) and Dr. Robotnik walk around in heavy artillery blowing things up. This allows the gameplay to be more varied. Sound is good, Ambient noise is kept in check, and special effects are good too. Music.... It's your own personal taste. If you like cheesy 80's rock, this isn't going to bother you too much. Knuckles has some attitude pumpin' rap (not really like Eminem or anything), and those aforementioned walking tanks have a somewhat techno-rock sounding music score.
The Bad:
No game is perfect, and nothing ever will be. And Sonic Adventure 2 really shows off it's flaws in some of the most frustrating of places. First off, with 180 emblems (these are about the equal of "Super Mario 64" stars) to collect, You know there have got to be secrets lying around in the levels somewhere. Unfortunatly, the camera obviously does not want you to find any secrets, as it is usually stuck in one position. Yes, you can change the angle on it when you're sitting still (in the walking tank and running levels), but when you start moving again, it'll violently throw the camera into it's original position, often forcing you to make blind leaps to secrets. This can be VERY annoying. While the camera pretty much stays in it's position in the emerald-or-other-object searching levels, the camera has a tendancy to get caught behind a wall or ceiling, therefore obstructing the view of the camera. My second and final complaint is not the Sonic, but the Adventure part of the game. The story can get rather cheesy at times (has anyone gotten the idea that the word "chaos" is repeated almost every 5 seconds yet?), and the voice acting is horrible. Sega hardly managed to get the lip-synching correct.
The Verdict:
Great game, but it is hard to get over the camera that's great when you're just going through the course, but hardly allows you any freedom of motion. And the voice acting is just downright ugly. The story is just decent, but the high points really do overpower the low points. I would reccommend this to any casual gamer, and I would imagine hardcore gamers would love it also. It's a 5-star game that just didn't have enough tweaking to give itself 5 stars.

This game is the best i have to say. After you have had all the fun by playing the real game on the good and bad side and then defeating the last level you still have more to do. This is probably the most addicting game to date. Some of the things u can do after you finish story mode is try to get all A rankings on all of your missions. Also if you want to truly complete the game you need to get all of the emblems which has kept me atached to this game for a long time. I have been playing this game since it came out on the gamecube and now on May 4th 2004 I only have 1 more emblem I need to get. Getting all the emblems requires u to train your choa animal (at least one light and one dark choa) to extremely high levels to do karate and races. Also let me tell you a little secret there are 3 ultimate choas that you can get that will never die while the normal choa dies in 5 years (years go bye in about 2 months in the choa garden depending on how much time u spend in there). The 3 different kinds are dark chaos choa, hero chaos choa, and the most powerful the neutral chaos choa. You can see what these choas look like if you can get to the last challenge race, hero race, and dark race. To get these choas your choa must reincarnate back in an egg twice and then you must give it one of every animal and if you want a dark give it dark fruits, if you want a hero give it hero fruits, and if you want a neutral give it choa fruits. So as you can see there are many things to accomplish in this game, especially in the choa garden. I hope my review has helped you make your decision on buying this game.

GAMEPLAY: 8/10
The gameplay is perfect, but it DOES have a LOW replay value, unless you want to collect all of the Emblems to unlock the secret reward ten times, a nutty goal that I don't think anyone should go for (It could make your head blow up).
CAMERA: 2/10
This game, along with a few others (including Earthworm Jim 3D) suffers from IBCS, Incredibly Bad Camera Syndrome. I HATED the way the camera got in the way ALL THE TIME. In short, the camera stinks on ice.
STORYLINE: 8/10
Th storyline is rich and flawless if this is your first game. If it is not, you may find it seriously lacking. Two (coughcoughthereisasecretonewhereshadowdiesbuthedoen'treallydiecoughcough) different viewpoints are extremely interesting, however, some sequences are the same. But this is explainable: they both happen at exactly the same time! For instance "Enter Knuckles" and "Enter Rouge" are the same, consisting of the two arguing over who gets the Master Emerald, Eggman trying to steal it, and Knux eventually breaking it to "save" it. Also, the "Knuckles Saves Rouge" Cinema Sequence takes place at the same time under the same name.
MUSIC: 7/10
Wow! The music is incredible! Huh? Why didn't I give it 10/10? I count off one for each of these:
KNUCKLES' THEME (Extended version)
One line: "Wild and hungry, ain't a **** thing funny."
ROUGE'S THEME
Extremely cruddy yet catchy (Tap the rhythm against the wall...)
SHADOW'S THEME
The best BGM ever next to Sonic's, yet it is a very depressing style (Oh, dark, the darkness, that dozes in the dusk: Throw it all away-ee-ay)
SOUND: 7/10
I gave this a 7 because during the Dark credits, Shadow's Theme (Also main theme for Dark) sounded fuzzy, like it had been recorded on a Casette Tape, tossed aroud, and sent to 1000 radio stations, one at a time.
FINAL SCORE: 32/50
FINAL VERDICT: BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!
Second Best Sonic Game

I loved Sonic as a kid. I watched the TV shows all the time. I played Sonic and Knuckles all day in my bedroom. And you know what? I still do.
A couple of years ago, my next-door neighbor got a Dreamcast. He started out with Sonic Adventure. Gradually, he gained games, and eventually, he had every Sonic game made for Dreamcast ever. So I was freaked, and every day I'd go over to play SA2.
But now SA2: Battle's here, and rocks! Basically the same game as SA2, but better (except for the fact that the Internet option isn't there anymore)! The multiplayer section has seriously gone way out of this world (all the way to Mobius...okay, bad joke ^_^). And, plus, you can transfer Chaos from this game to Sonic the Hedgehog Advance. The coolest part is, I've got A GBA and Sonic Advance, and a Gamecube and SA2: Battle!!
This game is definitely for anyone; Sonic-fan or not. (Oh yeah, and the music in this game ROCKS.)

The Yuki Naja-made SEGA mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog, has finally made his way onto the Nintendo GameCube system. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, the remake of Sonic Adventure 2 for Dreamcast, is a lot like another game I like, Black and White. You either save the world, or destroy it. The good characters are Sonic (no duh!), Tails, and Knuckles, and the bad characters are Shadow (a new hedgehog who eventually turns good), Rouge (a new bat who we eventually find out is a treasure-hunting government agent), and Dr. Eggman. Overall, this is the coolest game ever!
PROS:
EVERYTHING BUT THE CONS.
CONS:
EVEN THOUGH KNUX IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER, I HATE THE ROUGE/KNUCKLES LEVELS; THE TREASURE HUNTING CAN GET TOUGH.
Oh, by the way; the MUSIC RULES!
(Unknown from M.E., Knuckles' theme, has got to be the coolest song ever.)
