OMG this is a game 2 beat all games except super smash bro. meele ok it has everything a game from nintendo needs!the story line is great. plus the pikmin r soooo cute! i always debate which pikmin is the cutest.see it is about captain olimer who gets hit by a....... u have 2 find this out. a friend told me a secret that there is purple pikmin and try 2 find the cheat website. the sound andgraphics r awesome. iam the biggest gamer in the world and pikmin was the best new game out. yes i know that it is hard at times but its awesome at the end.

Well, this game was a lot better than I expected. It is (thankfully) not related to Pokemon in anyway. The Pikmin actually perform useful tasks, such as carrying the missing rocket parts, building bridges, bombing or tearing down gates and walls, and killing enemies who would rather eat Captain Olimar and the Pikmin. Despite it's kiddie sort of charm (the Pikmin are kind of cute little buggers) little kids would probably be upset playing this. It's not pleasant watching dozens of your Pikmin getting eaten, or blown up, or drowning. Anyway, this is really a lot of fun. For most of the rocket parts you need to find, you have to solve some kind of puzzle, like what color Pikmin to use, while others are lying out in the open, or in the bellies of particularly tough enemies (the Emperor Bulblax is one of the biggest and weirdest boss on the gamecube so far) The game seems to be over too quick, but it's a lot of fun while it lasts. Buy it, and you'll be satisfied.

Pikmin. This game is a nintendo classic. Pure genius and quite original. You basicly build an army kill things to build a bigger army to help you get the parts back for your broken ship.
Watch out though cause time is of the essence. The animation and graphics are beautiful and the gmaeplay is easy for even the newest gamer.

This is quite the game.

Shigeru Miyamoto... the creater of Mario Bro, The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Fox, Yoshi... need I go on? The designer who arguably is solely responsible for Nintendo's success in the United State by creating Donkey Kong Arcade.

Is this going to be another masterpiece? Or was striking out from his classics a mistake.

It is a masterpiece. This game in the most innovative and unique game of the 2001 by far, and one of the funnest. The storyline ride shotgun to the gameplay and minus one cutscene it is nonexistent. But ill tell you the little there is. Pint sized (2 inches to be exact) Captain Olimar is taking a small vacation in his spaceship the Dolphin when a meteor hits his ship hurtling him to the planet below, all 50 of the primary parts to his ship are scattered across the land and the planets atmosphere is filled with deadly oxygen! (who knows what the little guy breathe!) Well bring on the pikmin! Captain Olimar finds there 'Onion' (pikmin spaceship) and one seed falls out, Capt. Olimar picks the resulting sprout and lo and behold it turns out to be an animal! Slightly smaller then Olimar what help can it do? Well if you experiment you can find the pikmin can carry pellets to the onion and grow more pikmin, eventually you willhave around 30 pikmin and you can move the box (Olimar is 2 inches tall remember, so to him the box is HUGE) and find the engine behind it, thus ending the day Capt. Olimar shoot into the sky to find parts the next day, most of the gameplay revolves around leading your army of pikmin (up to a hundred at a time) around the planet defeating enemys and gathering parts, here is where it gets tricky, Olimar has a limited time of 30 game days (around 15 minutes a piece) and he must balance between growing new pikmin and gathering new parts. Trust me this game is not easy, before you freak out its not hard either, its its the upper medium spectrum. All in all its a great game with amazing visuals (best water effects EVER) and worthy of the Miyamoto name. If you have the Game Cube its a must buy. The only bad thing I can say is lack of multiplayer and the time limit is a bit harsh at times. (thankfully the sequel solved both problems)

This game rocks! It's not one of those grab the game and beat it in 2 and a half hours. This game could take months to beat.
The only bad thing about it though is the time limit. You can end up repeating a day over and over because you can't get a part quick enough. And having 30 days to get 30 parts is insane. Basicly if you don't get a part per day, you have to get more than one the next day. And if that keeps happening you'll end up trying to get 13 parts in one day. (Talk about, "I have to restart my game) But over all, this game is awesome.

I give it 1 and 3 quarters of a thumb up!

Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin =FUN

A fun and original game that will supply fun for hours. Pikmin is about an astronaut who crash lands on a strange planet and must rebuild his ship with the help of some weird creatures he calls pikmin. He only has about a month to find all the lost parts before his life support system runs out. This game is fun and the strategie is challenging. The only thing I don't like is having a time limit, though then again, it would stink without one. Overall if you like strategie games and don't feel pressured by timelimits this is the game for you.

AS long as this isn't your first game your gonna be fine. The beggining is prety easy bun then it gets a bit harder. I was never able to beat level three but my cousin showed me an advantage and then That level became as easy as cutting pudding. It's really a good game but if you want an easy game I don't think your gonna want this. The fighting is more fun than anything in the world. I could do it all day. (Really, it's that fun) I'm only 7 and I'm usually great at games because I've had gamecube for 2 years.I have star wars bounty hunter and pikmin is harder than that and bounty hunter is rated TEEN. As I said before this is definetly not an easy game. The other games I have is F zero metroid prime the legend of zelda winwaker and star fox. And those are all for Gamecube. Again pikmin is THE MOST EXTREME. AND, THE HARDEST.

Pikmin definately gets points for originality. I can't think of any other games about a stranded astronaut that has to rely on plant creatures he picks out of the ground to help him rebuild his space ship. I liked the concept, and the fact that the player has to use creativity and strategy to be able to win. Make the wrong moves, or take too much time, and you fail. Graphics are good, not the best I've seen on Gamecube though. I also found the game too short. Just as I was getting into it, it was over. Worth play for the sheer originality.

This Game is boring The graphics are nothing special and the enimies look like blobs and kill off all those stupid Pikmin things you spent a long time getting..When you play games you want the main character to be cool looking but that stupid space guy looks awful and has a Huge head ... when i heard it was from the same guy who made the Zelda games i rented it fast just to be dissaponted to see this game is awful DONT WASTE MONEY ON THIS ...The Zelda games were so much better then this awful peice of Junk... You dont even have enough time to do anything in the short days.. Awful Game Dont Buy Or RENT IT!!
