You'd think a game like Pikmin would only be for some sweet little five year olds. But it's not. Pikmin involves strategic desciscions.

Your ship has just crashed. And your name is captain olimar. You land on a mysterious island where you find creatures that you later name pikmin. As the game goes on you'll meet different kinds of Pikmin. (red,yellow, and blue) They do things for you. Such as there is a huge wall so you tell 20 of your pikmin to break it down. You can also fight lady bugs with your pikmin. The point of killing the ladybugs is to bring them back to a ship your pikmin go in and then a certain amount of pikmin come out. You can also get more pikmin from finding blocks having a number on it. When you bring those to the pikmins spacecraft it sprouts you whatever the number was on the block. Don't worry that it takes a million years to sprout because it doesn't. It actually takes around five seconds.

Oh yeah i forgot that the whole meaning of this game is find and repair your ship by going to different islands to find pieces to your ship. In all you begin without 30 pieces that you need to find in thirty days.

From the moment I saw Pikmin, I was hooked. I got my Gamecube, came home, and popped Pikmin in, and happy to say, that I wasn't disappointed! Pikmin is a masterpiece! You play this little space guy, who crash lands his space ship on an alien planet. And you have to use the pikmin to find 30 mission parts to your ship in 30 days. I love this game but, it had some flaws. In some cases the controls are bad, and the day are waayyyy to short! (The last like 15 mins) and It does get a little repeditive. But, Pikmin is one of Gamecubes better titles! I recommend for younger and older gammers!

This game looks amazingly easy when you start. I thought that, too. Then, when I was really calm, a giant bird head came out of the ground. It ate almost all of my pikmin. Once you get in to this game, the conrtoller is glued to your hands.

Pikmin is a stratagey game. Not terribly hard, but repetive. Which makes it boring after a half an hour of gameplay, so much so, that you don't want to play it again. Not because of the difficulty, but because of the repetiveness.

In this game your a little space dude that crashed landed on a planet and lost all his rocket parts. He then meets pikmin, and starts his quest to find his rocket parts in 30 days.

This game starts off mildly entertaing, but after you find five rocket parts it starts to get plain boring. The same stuff every day, find a rocket part, bring back the rocket part, enemy gets in your way, pikmin get eaten and you destroy your enemy. Not to mention that there is a time limit of about 12 minutes per day, which puts makes you rush, not enjoy the game.

So, as you can see, this is definetly not one of Nintendo's good games. If you still want this game, do yourself a favor and rent it first.

My Gamecube is supposed to arrive tomorrow and i can't wait. I'm going to ask all my relatives to get me this game. It's amazing, you control many little animals, they remind me of pokemon but the game is nothing like pokemon. You are a little astronaut who crashlands on a foreign planet and loses all the pieces to his space ship. You lure out the pikmin and make them do your bidding. There are many different kinds of pikmin, blue ones can swim, red ones are flame retardant and the yellow ones go much farther when you throw them. You use these different abilities that the pikmin have to your advantage. You throw them or have them swim to places you cannot reach. They can go across rivers and build bridges for you. When there are big monsters in the way of the pieces of your ship, the pikmin will battle the monster for you. This game will be an amazingly fun one and i would suggest that anyone getting the Gamecube console should look into purchasing this game.

i think this game is good because you get a pikman and you figth them and you can carry armost 1000 pikman and it really fan

Pikimin is a game where you play as a space captain who has crash-landed on a strange and hostile planet via crashing into a floating asteroid.(You have to actually see the cutscene; doesn't he know not to drive drunk?)When he leaves to investigate, he notices that his ship has been totaled. As you may have guessed, it's your job to play as Olimar (his name) and find the pieces to the ship within 30 days, as that is as long as his suit's life support systems will last. Luckily, you're not alone, as you will soon find red, yellow & blue creatures. Although each have noticeable differences, they are all of the same species, called Pikmin. They'll do anything for you; even get eaten!
But as for my actual review, I don't really have much to say about this game. As in most Nintendo-made game, there are no difficulty settings and it is mind-bendingly hard. The gameplay mixes strategy and adventure genres, which I like, but what does it matter if each and every one of your Pikmin are going to get eaten by some giant monster? ***

This game is kinda freaky at first but it is pretty cool. The story line is you are the captain of a ship that crashlands. Your ship parts have gone everywhere and you must gather them before your life support system can no longer support you. You are helped by the pikmin. There are three forms pikmin: red, blue, and yellow (and i think there is a cheat to get purple ones).

Great game, the friendship idea is definetly there, very cool.

The Pikmin are there for you too which is also great.

Try not to let them get eaten. :)
