i got this game a couple of days ago and i can't leave it. This game is so awesum!

but it gets sorta anoyin

but one thing is that the whole thing was supposed 2 be about destroyin da ship
but dat takes like 10 minutes
then da rest of da game is tryin 2 get ur powers bak

This game is very hard
at least for a first time metroid player like me
if u like challenges, this game is for u

Metroid Prime is truly amazing. The detail of Samus and other enemies, the morph ball, and the awesome gameplay make this game a must buy. Not only do you have a combat visor, but there is also a scan visor, a thermal visor, and a visor able to see invisible enemies and items. What makes metroid prime truly great is that it is a new genre. its first person, but its not a FPS. its a first person adventure..it doesnt have fixed levels to choose from the main menu, and its a whole big world you traverse through. the music is great, and the value of the game is well over 20 hours. go buy this game!!

Retro Studios did a remarkable job on this Metroid game. I have never played a Metroid game and dislike First Person Shooters, but this game...this game is just awesome. From the graphics to the gameplay, this game is sure to please all. Retro Studios were extremely skillful with the graphics: even the tiniest little details ( like fogging of your visor ) were taken very seroisly and made perfectly. The visor effects were pulled of wonderfully, and make the whole game seem real. It seems every thing in the visor has a use, from the Enviromental Threat Meter to the little yellow word WARNING when your almost dead.
The sound for this game is fantastic. Every little sound and type of music fits it's seen perfectly. The length of this game is nice. It's not short at all, but has different climates and enemies, which ensures it won't get boring. This game is a GREAT BUY for all.

I have never liked first person shooters... or any video games that are done in first person perspective for that matter. When I first heard about this game I just dismissed it like I do all first person games. Eventually, however, all the excellent reviews got to me so I broke down and bought a copy.

After only a couple of minutes playing this game, I knew it wasn't like anything I'd ever played before, first person perspective or not. I couldn't believe how much I liked it. First of all, I don't really see it as a first person shooter. It's more of an adventure game in first person perspective. The game is about puzzle-solving, jumping, and exploration as much as it is about blasting enemies with your big, cool, beam gun.

The graphics are absolutely beautiful and the controls are very intuative. It was very easy to pick up and play. The auto-aim feature makes the game playable and fun for practically anyone. Somehow, they've even made first person jumping enjoyable instead of frustrating.

This game is incredibly fun. It's one of the best games I've played this year. One of the best games I've ever played, period! If you love games, you NEED a copy of Metroid Prime!

Metroid is an excellent game. I have not met a single person that has tried it that hates it. It provides the right amount of action and gameplay.

BTW, for clarification for fanboy "David from Allentown, PA United States", who stated that the XBox has nothing on the GameCube, and that Perfect Dark 2 on the Cube is going to be better than Halo, you might want to check up on the news. Back in September, Rare announced that the Perfect Dark sequel will be exclusive to the XBox. As one article states: "Bad news all around for Rare fans who only own Nintendo's console currently". Tough luck pal! Guess you will have to but an XBox afterall! heh

Back on topic, I highly suggest Metroid on the Cube.

Remember people, PLAY GAMES, NOT SYSTEMS!!

Metroid Prime is the best game I have ever played. I own an X-box and have played and finished Halo and Spiderman, I own a PS2 and have played GTA Vice City GTA III, finished MGS2, played and completed all maddens since PS2's inception, finished Silent Hill 2, Batman, SOCOM, Spiderman, Blood Omen 2, Soul Reaver and some others. Out of all of my games, this is the most intense and interesting game I have played.

The Storyline is amazing, The best to date. The graphics are as good as any game that I have played on any system. The sound is great, and works well with the game. The bosses, YES THE BOSSES, are creative and amazing. This is not remake by any standards, but a story and game that acknowledges and respects the original. EVEN IN FIRST PERSON.

The level design is special, and creative. It stays consistant, and has a movie like feel to it (Alien is the closest thing). Simply AWESOME.

All in all this is a must have game for any video game player. If you do not own a gamecube, get one and buy this game. If you have a game cube you NEED to buy this game.

With the sensless violence and other game creaters pushing extreme garbage down our throats to gain popularity, it is truely an honor to play a VIDEO GAME THAT STAYS TRUE TO ITS ROOTS, AND IS YET ORIGINAL. I hope Nintendo comes out with more, wait we have Zelda in a few months, and hopefully a metroid sequal.

My only negative about this game, is that the Original Metroid can only be accessed after you beat teh GBA Metroid fusion. That is horrible. Couldn't they make it available for everyone?

Overall Rating: Excellent, Must Buy.

Metriod prime is the best game ever made(besides super smash brothers)you basically walk around blowing up little creatures(some are extra-ordinarily biG!!) on your way to beating the game. You get different weapons such as the ice beam, wavebeam, and the plama beam. The only problem that i have found with this game is that you must have the players guide. This is because you have to do crazy things like shoot this wall then scan then quickly jump to a certian platform to unlock the next room. GET THIS GAME!...

Do not hesitate to buy this Great and terrific game. If you own a Nintendo Gamecube you MUST have this game. This game has one ( if not the only one ) of the most detailed environments that you can ever encounter on any game. Everything is super detailed and what is amazing is that everything takes place in only one world !! Everything is carefully detailed ( enemies, trees, water, rain, ice, lava, mines, etc, etc.) C'mon go ahead, go and buy one for yourself you truly deserve it, or if you don't get it you will be missing one of the BEST games the GC has yet to offer.

I bought this game over a week ago. Thus far the game has been truly astonishing. Amazing graphics and incredible gameplay. The greatest aspect of the game is definitely the environment and gameplay. I have been hooked since the day I bought it and have had over 10 hours of fun while only having completed 20% of the game. All of the weapons and upgrades all work together smoothly to create an unbelievable experience. Metroid Prime is by far the greatest game I have seen.

Conclusion:

Simply a fantastic game! A must buy for everyone! The gamecube has made its mark as a great system that is just as good as all the others.
