This game has auesome graphics. It is extremely fun because it isn't like those games where you play it one time and get bored or beat it. It is really cool because there are lots of worlds and you can get different kinds of weapons. You can roll up into a ball and move around, jump, shoot enemies, battle different times of cool bosses, open doors, lock onto targets, ext. Sometimes it can be hard and you have to figure out things, but you won't stay stuck in the same spot very long. I like this game alot because there are save stations thoughout each level and if you die, then you automaticly to where you saved your game last and you don't start out at the beggining again and get really frustrated. It is really fun.

Well, I was waiting for this game a long time ago, and I got it for Christmas, and I just recently beat it. It was/is the best game for GCN that I have, and I was very impressed. The first level is more of an introduction, being very easy. BUt then, Chozo Ruins (#2), gets more difficult, which I quite enjoyed.
The graphics are just absoluely amazing, best graphics on a game for GCN by far, the detail put into the game, it's just unbelievable, everything has its own little testure, and nothing is bland at all.
The controls are also very superior and easy to pick up. Newer players may have a few problems with the C-Stick to change weapons and the control pad for visors, but you catch on very quickly. It is also very easy to lock on and strafe, as well.
The one flaw of this game is that it is just too short. Older N64 games were huge epic adventures (Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario 64), but this game just didnt last long enough being the great that it was. However, I do like that once you finish a level, you aren't completely done with it, and each level has its own organized structure, which is very nice.
Overall, this game is one of the best games I have played, and it would be #1 if it had been longer, but each boss provides an interesting challenge (especially the last few), yet none are too hard (except maybe one), and there no level in which you can just blow by, either. So thats why I give this game a...
A (9.3/10)
you must play it. period.

I just bought a Game Cube for myself today and got Metroid Prime for free with it. I enjoy FPSs on other systems...Metroid Prime holds it's own against my all-time favorites. Thought I must inform you - Metroid Prime is not an all-out frag-a-thon shoot-em up type game, but more of an adventure.
Controls - 4.5/5
The controls are pretty easy to get acquainted with; the game helps you at first to get you oriented with them. The layout on the Game Cube controller is logical, simple, and easy to use without always looking down at your fingers.
Sound - 5/5
The sounds in Metroid Prime are amazingly realistic. You feel like you are inside the spaceship, on the planet, or anywhere else Samus might be. The music is cool and doesn't get annoying or anything. Also, the music will, for example, speed up and make you feel a little tense during a major firefight or boss battle.
Graphics - 5/5
Metroid Prime's graphics are awesome. Vivid worlds are filled with textures, colors, and other eye candy that only the Game Cube could provide. Overall, the graphics of this game are great; I wouldn't ask for anything more!
Fun - 4.75/5
Like its predecessors, Metroid Prime is simply and absolutely fun to play, no matter if you are just starting out in the video game world or are a seasoned veteran. With it's deeply laid-out worlds, Metroid Prime has satisfactory replay value and should last for years, game-playing wise.
I didn't - and you sure won't - regret buying Metroid Prime for the Nintendo Game Cube. Once you play this gem for 10 minutes you'll see what I mean!

This game is the best game i have ever played. Most people think it is just a first person shooter, but its not. Its more like a first person shooter/explorer/puzzle game. Mostly though, it is an explorer and shooter. Here is my break down.
Sound 5/5
The sound in the game rocks!!!!! Each and every setting has its own soundtrack. Also, everything has its own sounds. I can identify anything around me just by listening. U can hear Samus' footsteps and hear her breathing. That is realistic!!!! The sound cues are clear and different.
Gameplay 4.5/5
The game play is cool too!!! You always have something to find and some upgrade to fight for. The bosses are challenging, but if you use the right method it is easier to beat them. Also, the mega missle combos really are stronger. Sometimes though- rarely- the gameplay gets hard in a not so good way, but if U try hard it gets fun again real fast.
Graphics 5/5
The graphics rock. gameplay is smooth and looks like it is real in most places. Cinematic scenes are awesome to watch too. Light and shadows are used efficiently. When a huge explosion happens near Samus U can see her face reflected off of the visor!!!!!
Theme/Fun factor 5/5
This game is addictive! It is really fun. U are always trying to get to a new place and always having to use new abilitys. Somstimes U can get frustrated, but this just makes it more worthwhile to get farther in the game.
Overall 5/5
Buy this game and U will not regret it! It is the best game I have ever played.

I played the demo of this game at Target, Circuit City, and Walmart and hated the controls but loved the graphics and gameplay. I just bought a Gamecube recently and got Metroid Prime with it. If you play the demo and don't like the controls, buy the game. It's easy to get over the confusion over what button to press and when and this game makes for hours upon hours of gameplay. The only bad part is the part of which the only places to save are at the scattered (and I mean SCATTERED) about the many "areas" in the game and when you die, you have to go back to the last place that you saved at and lose all the power-ups you earned past that save spot. But, I always love a challenge. This game is one of the best ever made for Gamecube! Buy it now! But, I warn the people who don't own a Gamecube (a.k.a. The unlucky ones), this game is not a beginner's type of game. although it will prepare you for the controls of other games. But, I've already got the game and am not the one buying it. You decide. Happy Playing, America!!!!
Metroid is back and it's better than i could ever imagine!

This is the best video game I've played to date. Of course, this is the type of game I like the best too. The flow of the game is great it's hard, but not too hard. The graphics are top notch! I sometimes get frustrated when I push the wrong button during battles (ex: morph ball instead of missle fire) but that just makes it more exciting and chaotic.
COOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is very cool. The controlls are hard to get in the first few minutes, but then you are blasting enemies left and right (also up, down, behind, and in front, but you know what I'm getting at)! The graphics are some of the best I've seen. The game gets kinda confusing when you have to go back to levels, but then again, that creates hours upon hours upon hours upon hours of gameplay. But, you can't forget that it hooks up to Metroid Fusion for GBA where you can get a ton of goodies. Is you have a Gamecube, this is definently a must. If you are one of the unfortunate ones, like me (I have only played it as a demo and at my friend's house), and don't have a Gamecube. either rent it or borrow it to get used to the controls. Or you could just go ahead and be a daredevil and buy the game. No matter what you do, this game will definently make you oooo!, ahhhh!,and oh! till the very last moment in the game. :-)
