untill prime i didnt know or care much for metroid games, but after i played it that all changed. my jaw literally hit the floor when i started playing, the graphics are absolutly incredible. throughout the whole game there is not one glitch, slowdown, or chopped framerate to be seen. also, the visor effects are amazing, the condensation and raindrops hitting the visor look incredible. the best part of all this are the ultra-real environments. they are unbeleivebly atmospheric and seamless, nothing looks artificial, it all looks completely real. another reason why the graphics are so nice are the details. partical effects like rain and snow look great, and the way samus` weapons seem to bend reality is incredible. the control is spot-on too. in most fps, jumping is a pain, but in prime, platform jumping is done effortlessly. teh adventure style controls worked amazingly well, it made blasting all the creatures of tallon 4 and the space pirates easier. the best part of all this though is the exploration formu

This game is a classic nintendo game. I agree with everyone else about everything about this game except the storyline. The game has a good descripition of things but...where is the motavation?? I mean why did she do this whole thing? I like the other Metroids when they explain why she is going to the pirates' ship or whatever. This game lacks that. Hmmm...

May I be so bold in saying this game is reason enough to buy a GameCube? I think I will! This is the type of game that made Nintendo rule the Earth back in late 80's and is worth every penny. Great gameplay and great graphis, something that most games don't even seem to strive for these days. If you enjoyed any of the Metroid games in the past or if you love games that you get to explore the nooks and crannies of well developed 3-D worlds, this is the game for you! But don't be fooled by the first person perspective and automatically assume it's a first person shooter (FPS), it's more like a First Person Adventure (FPA). Yeah you do shoot things in the game (made easy by the fact you can lock-on to targets) but it's not what the game is all about. It's all about exploring and finding items/info. Oh and the music rules too. Check out the gaming magazines, online and in print, it's scores 9's and 10's out of 10 if you need more prodding. So why aren't you buying this game already?

I own both a gamecube and an xbox and their both great.. if you don't have a cube yet, this fantastic game makes it worth getting even if you didn't buy any other games! I played the original Metroid to death back when it first came out and this game brings back all those fond memories in full 3D glory! There is no possible way to ever regret buying this game.. don't even bother to rent it, just buy it!

I LOVE this game! I got it the first day it came out since me and my family are HUGE metroid fans! We get our hands on any new metroid stuff! If your having ANY doubts about getting this game, I'm here to tell you too get it now! It's the best game ever in my opinion!

When I first heard of Prime's creation almost 2 years ago, I followed it every possible way; Video clips, Screen Shots, etc. (Yes, I'm a die-Hard Metroid fan.) But when I saw the 1st person effect, I wondered if it'd be true to the old games, if it'd have the same 'feel.' I'm here to tell you... YES! Old metroid fans may have to learn a few new tricks to survive, but the old-school feel is DEFINITELY there. The game even brought back some of the songs from Metroid 1 and Super Metroid. PRIME IS A MUST!!!!!!

I just Finished the game and it was a long hard road. I game is very long and very detailed, so it's worth the money. It was by far the best game I have played this year for any game console. The designer team spent alot ot time making sure this game would meet the expectations of it's long-time fans. I agree with everyone that I didn't think it would be the same game because it was now a 1st person shooter, but it came out great, with all the stuff involved in the game (not gonna give it away) it will revolutionize the 1st person gaming. the only set back was that there is 3 endings and it really depends on how many "minor-upgrades" and scans you get. the only way to see the "best ending" is to find everything, no exceptions, so that basically means you'll have to "buy" the hint book to find them all, the game is too big to do it yourself. another setback was that when you beat the game you can use Samus's armor fron the "metroid fusion" game but you need to buy the game on the gameboy advance to use it. I'm a hardcore gamer so I bought it just to see what Samus would look like, it's cool but not worth [price] for the Fusion game. But for anyone who has not yet played this because it's chamged to a 1st person shooter, I'm telling you right now, you'll not be let down when you play this. Trust me!
