okay for a zelda game

i bought this game when it first came out because i am a huge fan of the zelda series. i can't say that i was that impressed with it after playing ocarina of time. the game gets a little tedious with all the traveling (even after getting the warps). it's still a fun play but make sure you have plenty of time on your hands! i didn't think it was the best game in the series but it was fun compared to most games.

Another great Zelda game!

I have two older bros who are serious gamers. Well one of them got a gamecube and several games for it. After watching my bro play this game for awhile, I asked to play. I was totally hooked on it! I really love this game! I'm not too far in;I haven't saved Link's sister yet. Now, I'm spending my time filling out my sea chart. I must warn you though, if you don't intend to spend much time on it, you'll get nowhere. Anyway, I find the game play great and I love the graphics. I think this is a another great adition to other wonderful Zelda games such as Majora's Mask, and A Link to the Past. I hope you enjoy this game as much as I do!

Wind Waker is great so far with only 3 flaws

This game is great exept for 3 things one moving around the ocean is annoying and its been to short. I got it last week and I already beat the bird thing and finally the 3rd and 4th boss is too easy along with the minibosses for those levels I beat phantom ganon in less than 1 minute. Every thing else is great.

Zelda beats all the rest!!

Zelda will allways be Zelda and Zelda will allways be nr.1
Forget about PS2 and its crappy finalfantasy games with slow and stupid boring turnbased gameplay.

Zelda the windwaker has it all and more...
Great graphics.....
Good soundtrack....
Good controls....
good story....
Fast access time on the disc....
No 20 minutes of meaningless talk between the quests like finalfantasy x....

Sidequests, sidequests, and more sidequests

This game is more then time consuming, i cant believe how many sidequests there are, treasure charts, special charts, mini games, Piece of heart charts, and i can go on alllllll day, but its not neccesary. If you have alot of time on your hands, and are up for a really BIG strategy challenge, then this game is for you.

Outstanding

I realy wanted this game for a long time. i got it for my birth day and immediatly startded to play it. it was the best game I had ever played! the graphics were excellent. The new cell- shading is different but is still very cool. The songs are better than any of the games. The game play is the best of all. The new part of the zelda story where link uses a boat is awesome. The weapons are much better. A strongly reccomend this game to all users.

The Legend Continues

This is a no-brainer. Buy the game, play it, love it. The game looks amazing, and feels seemingly endless once you get into it. All the classics of a Zelda game are there, but it doesn't feel stale at all. The new cell-style graphics look great, even though I, too, was skeptical at first. Once you play it for 5 minutes you understand why they went to the cell shading style. It just makes sense for a Zelda game. The puzzels are great, the plot is great, the bad guys are challenging. What more could you want? I would recommend getting the Prima guide rather than the Nintendo Power one, I think it's a bit more detailed. I have the Nintendo Power one, and even though I try and use it as little as possible the first time through the game, I wished I'd bought the other once I did start to go through the game again.

Enjoy, it's one of the best games ever made!!

Great Game long in the making, but worth the wait

I like all the Zelda games and just thoroughly enjoy them and this was a good 3+ years in the making but worth the wait, if you are a Zelda fan I can't see you being disappointed!

Best addition in the series yet

Well, at first, like everyone else, when i saw the previews for this game, i really didnt know what they were thinking with using cell shading. But after a couple minutes of playing this game you will see how much better these graphics are then 3d. It is virtually glitch-free, the camera movement is as smooth as ever, and it creates a much more beautiful and detailed experience.
The music is, despite what some people say, just great. It is interesting and upbeat, and always in the right mood. Plus the storyline is great, much better than the other Zelda's. It is true that you aren't the original Link, but you quickly get over that.
I would say the greatest part about this game is the fighting. The swordplay has improved a lot, giving you many new ways to attack an opponent, including the Parry, where if you press A at the right time, you dodge your opponents shot and hit him with a very powerful one. In addition, when you hit an enemy with a sword, its sounds like your playing a violin very violently. It is brilliant.
It is true that in the beginning, sailing around the sea can be a little tedious, but you quickly overcome that problem with songs which allow you to control the wind and warp about the sea.
If there is one thing i dont like about this game, it is that it is too short, with too many sidequests. The Ocarina of Time balanced this out better. When there are too many sidequests, you feel like you havent really completed the game when you win. I think they should have taken away some of the sidequests and added another temple or two.
Other than that, the game is great. Except for your size. You are still way to damn short. O well. Great game, i seriously recommend buying it.
