I've been looking all over for a game like this. I have all the other sims games but really the fact that you can't talk to other sims or go and see your job our run your sims life like the real world. Really the orignal sims was much more boring you have to buy another $50 expansion pack to keep it interesting. And that really wastes money. The Sims online is has all the stuff the Origanl sims has and more I don't have it but it looks alot more interesting than other games. And Really their are police on the sims online so if your someone says or does something bad they can blank it out and kick them out. I really think if you like the first sim game you'll love this

I just got this game as a present and it looks great. the only drawback for me is that I don't have the minimum requirements to play the game :( It looks great and I wish i could play it. I hope i can soon! :)

Where do i start? I guess I'll start by saying that prior to TSO i was not really an online gamer at all. But after i got this game as a (late) xmas present, I was totally sold. It's just good fun. The social aspect of the game really makes the time fly and after a while you really start to get to know the game and its players. I am certainly gettting my money's worth with The SIms Online.

many people have been putting down maxies new sims title, thesimsonline, but these reviews are highly biasd. while i admit that this game is not for everyone and its not exactly like thesims. it still holds true to the basics of thesims. this game is a ever changing world built by thousands of people all over the internet and is constantly being upgraded. many people go in expecting it to be exactly the same as when the play thesims on there computer but because of the dyanmics of making a online version of the hit series, a new style of play had to be interoduced.
i personally recomend this game to people who want to chat and build with other people all over the world. many people who have rated this bad have also said that it isent like other online games and thats the point. if you want player killer games then you have a wide veraity to choose from but thesims online is diffrent, ts not about killing and stats but on social interactions and community. i recommend this game for those who want to get away from the gorey violence that most online and offline games these days entail. thought it isent for everyone it still offers things no other online game offers and for that it should be treaed with a little mnore repsect for boldly stepping out of the genra it is born into.
Great Addicting Game

The key to this game is to become a roomate first. If you do not it will be very hard for you to build up funds and actually have some fun. And being a roomate is fun anyway. To those who said it is not fun or too hard I say that you should have become a roomate at first! It is a great way to get you started and your other roomates will teach you how to play the game and how to play it well and advance.

Yes folks...I've been around THAT long! I had never been 'involved' in any chat sessions in my life, and never thought I would be. TSO has won me over!!!
The graphics are incredible...and, albeit a little slow, things are changing constantly. There are many 'adults' around & I'm really enjoying them...interesting, intelligent people to mix & mingle with...share homes, build & play 'games' with. The longer you stay the more interesting, intelligent people you are apt to bump into. It's not too difficult to determine who the 'bratty kids' are and discover the many ways to avoid them. They run in their own groups &, can at times, be very entertaining. I can't complain too much about the kids...my Grandchildren are 'playing'. Besides...the 'kids' have taken to playing amongst themselves, mostly. I think we adults BORE them.
My one regret is that I have an extensive social life & do not have as much time to 'play' as I'd like. I love the various types of people I meet & the different personalities from all over the world. It can easily be used to study human nature at it's best & worst, as it incorporates both...
I've had my boring days from time to time, but, with a little ingenuity, boredom dissipates in a flash. I've spent more time laughing here than I can count.
Buy it & try it...it's a new experience, I can readily assure you...and...if you don't like it you can leave & never come back. How's that? And, oh...bring a good sense of humor along with you too, won't you please?
REAL FUN!.......but why do the skills have to take so long?

the sims online is truly a fun game! I don't know why people are complaining! But some people say that the sims online is just a chat thing. Reader, if you hate to chat and do instant message I suggest you don't get this game. I mean, it's mainly that, but it's still real fun. You can just act like a totally different person! Make up a name. Be the most popular sim on the block! earn a bunch of money!!! There's so many things you can get! And the chat thing is better than the sim language! and the cool thing is you don't know who you are talking to and you can be yourself talking to another person or just be your sim!!!!!! Make up everything and stuff. It's fun. The regular sims is sort of better in a way, cause the skills go faster! If the skills went faster this would be five stars definitely!!!
I've made some friends also. Now one thing that would also be good is to have a place for teens. Like 13 years through 19 years. Cause I'm 13 and I'm meeting a lot of 20 something year olds and stuff. I know the game is mainly for adults cause a lot of adults play it,but it would be cool. Having roomates is also fun too. I like this game a lot! I hear that this game isn't finished. But to me I think It seems fine. I love the game. And you could get a little addicted to it, so be careful! But it's truly a fun game.
Wonderful!

I have just read through a handful of bad reviews for this game, and wanted to let all of you out there know something...The reason you see very few good user reviews is that the people that enjoy this game don't want to waste the time to write a review...they'd rather be playing! TSO is as good as you make it. If you want to own you're own club, go for it. You can also become a roomate, have roomates, become a nomad, etc. If you are bored with how you are playing it, it's very easy to try something else! When I first started, I became a roomate with a bunch of other friendly people. Once I learned and understood how the game functioned, I moved into my own lot, and am now working on making it into the top 100 local lists.
I also find it funny that so many people complain about gaining experience points. It is clear to me that these folks have never played Everquest, Ultima Online, or any of the other MMORPG's. In the listed games above, it takes hours upon hours just to get to a level where the game becomes playable. With TSO, you can have a great time within ten minutes of booting up.
I certainly recommend that you give this game a shot. ... I'm sure you will though. With all of the new additions, TSO is THE online game to be playing.
The sims online is great!

I thought this game was a blast! I loved meeting new people and trying out all the new stuff.
"A Gamer" is starting to get on my nerves... we all know you are the same negative person who just didn't enjoy the game as others did!
It is a fun experience and I think it was well worth my money!
It is even more fun when friends you know join up and buy the game! I have made countless houses with many of friends and have jobs that all my sims enjoy and have fun at!
Well unless you are a downer like "A gamer" then I would totally suggest you buy this game. Yes, it is quite an investment but well worth it when you recieve new friends and new experiences!
P.S. Don't ever give out your real name or where you live! Make up a name or create a nickname instead. Many kidnapping occur when people give out too much information on the internet. Have fun and be safe!
