I'm a happy Sim

I've been playing The Sims Online since November 2002 and I still love it. The thing I love most about it is that it's open-ended. There are no quests to accomplish except those that you make for yourself. Since starting the game, I have tried my hand at so many things. Like most newbies, I started out by building my own house, but quickly found out that 10,000 simoleons can only get you a one-room apartment furnished with the cheapest furniture available. So the next thing I tried was to become a roommate, and I just happened to pick the number one skill house, which meant having to keep a rigid schedule and having to entertain, cook, and clean for oftentimes ungrateful guests. That lasted one day. By then I was becoming wiser so I decided to save up my simoleons and build me a castle worthy of an elven princess. At one point, when sim weddings seemed to be quite popular, I also built a cathedral and became a wedding planner. When the fad died down, I settled down at my castle but it seemed so lonely so I opened it up to people who wanted to work on their creativity skills. Today, I'm building a mall and planning to become one of the top retailers in my city. These are just examples of the wide variety of things you can do and become within the game. The limits are on your imagination...

Worlds have been around for ten years. The Vrmls, ActiveWorlds, Atmospheres - they all are great in terms of concept and technology, but they were missing one thing: Popularity. Finally this one is popular beyond the hard-core community and opens worlds to a large audience. It's intelligent, alive and highly addictive.
I like TSO better than Regular Sims

Man the reviews on this are harsh. I actually quit playing my regular sims about a month or so after I got it because I got bored and I never really got into the expansions that much. I know a few people who are die-hard sim addicts and have all the expansion packs and it was fun to try them out but I was never really hard-core on Sims.
But, I recently got TSO and wow! I'm a bit of an addict at times. I've also met a lot of interesting people on-line I wouldn't have met in any other realm and I'm not a gamer really.
True you can get bored, but then you just take a break for a few days and come back. Or just create another sim.
Although I was mad you couldn't get a multi-user license for a household and just pay an extra $30 for an additional account using a friend or family member's software instead of having to purchase a new copy of the game just for the code, and you only got 3 sim slots; it still is not outrageous to pay $10/mo for the service. It's not that much different from paying for a magazine subscription or something like that in the long run, actually cheaper than a magazine.
I just gave it a 4 because the updates can be a bit of a pain sometimes and EA has a few bugs they do need to work out. But overall, I like the game and if you're going to spend a little bit of money on a game, I could think of worse.
Plus, really this is a game for adults. Kids really shouldn't play without supervision. I actually think they should create kid only neighborhoods so kids could play.
I am very satisfied. To be honest, I was a little hesitant to try this at first. I thought I would tire of it after a few days.
But I haven't really and when I do I take a break for a few days and come back and have just as much fun as I did when I started.
TSO is as serious or as light as you want to make it. Its really cool if you have a friend who also has the game and you can play together.

The Sims Online...what is there to say? SHAME ON YOU MAXIS!!! Why was this game realeased before it was ready?
I bought this thing and there was nothing at first, but it built. I recomend that you buy this game in 6 months. Don't waste money for months that you're not going to enjoy playing. The only reason that I give this game 4 stars is because I know what they are planning to do with it. When they are ACTUALLY DONE WITH THE GAME it will be great.
Not improving and it's been a year

I am disapointed. I have seen nothing new with this game it's been nothing but bugs and slowing down. You can't have a steady job. You have to make money on your own. On top of that you have to work with people who are newbies and have no clue what to do. I see nothing happening with this game. The Sims Online well soon meet it's doom

its ok. a little pay per month. My best and favorite part of the game is when you get money, money really important in the game. If your really want to save money if you just started, go ask sombody to to live with them like roommates. A. You can either just stay there and slack off. B. Or work around the house and get rich then move out and your roomate will start begging for you to stay then you say "no" Then help a newbie and they become rich then you start begging.
Great game, better than the original Sims!

Instead of interacting with computer played Sims, now you can interact with other Sims that are also controlled by real people. This is an awesome game. You can become someone's roommate or build your own house, either way you're sure to have fun. I have made lots of great friends on the game, and there are alot more interactive options and animations in this game. Ignore the bad reviews, I got this game for Christmas, and it is amazing...and addictive. It won't let you get away! Lol. Anyways, this is alot better than the original Sims. You can go out anytime you want & it's just simpler than calling a cab! No matter which way you look at it, The Sims Online is a masterpiece! Well, being on here is just like being in real life... expect drama. Roomates fight, owners yell, things get destroyed, people get molested. It's a good time though, and meeting people is really fun! I'd recommend this game for any adults who want to have some "chill" time every day and for those who want to meet new people online in something more interesting than a chat room.
Its a good game and whats up with "A Gamer"??

First of all, whats with "A Gamer"? It is not ment for christians. Who said that it was? NOT EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD IS FOR CHRISTIANS!!!!!!!! And don't diss other relgions! You don't need a cross everywhere. I would be more ticked off if there was a cross. Well, there is no wiccan stuff that doesn't mean I am gonna cry about it. Anyway, about the game. I like it.My friend brought it over and we got to play it. I LOVE IT ! I do not have my own copy yet but I am getting it for easter. Anyone who whines about not being able to do the money cheat or that it takes too long or basically that they have to put in some effort, that doesn't mean the game sucks, that means that the person is very, very, very, very, VERY LAZY!!!!! Thats all I have to say.
