My hands are still trembling after playing this game. It looked so real, dude. Also, I have epilepsy.

I went over to my friend's house (a gamer) and he said that with some luck and a fork, I could make a character that looks like me. Buddy, he was right. It was neat to see myself jamming and thrashing on the verve pipe.

Some times I felt like Tony Hawk was gonna jump out of the screen and slap me because it was sooooo real. He was so real. It hurts when he slaps.

It also hurts when I pee if some soap got down there.
A guy in the Canada level had the same problem.

This was so realistic that you really feel like your "playin' with the Queen of Hearts" on the ramps.

once you get a hang of it the game is great. the engine is the same, but quicker. so you have to play a bit to be accustomed to it. the reverts make for great combo potential. the one thing that i'd have to say needs work is the soundtrack. theres a lot of music that isn't too good. but thats just my own prefrence. however, you can tell the game what to play and what to skip. so problem solved. if you were a fan of the first two, go for this. if you're new to the tony hawk world, give it a shot. also the create a skater/move list editor is a lot better. you unlock special slots instead of earning money. this way you can use any trick you want. that was a pain in thps2 and fixed now. the same goes for your stats and boards.

Love it, first 5 I've given a video game.

This game is perfect. I think it's the best in the series. I rented THPS2 so many times that when this one came out I figured it would be cheaper to buy it. Seven months later I finally stopped playing to write this review. I thought I'd never be one of the losers that "like" skateboarding because of this game and be able to get 500,000 points on one trick, but here I am. I like being able to beat my friends in multiplayer, a feat that I couldn't do before I had this game. The only drawback is after playing this, THPS2 is a piece of [junk], I couldn't re-adjust to the framerate difference.

The game itself has an extremely high replay value, most sports games do. The levels are extremely well balanced between the street and vert aspects of the game. There is a wide variety of tricks and specials to enhance the game, and enough options to add variety. The multiplayer in this game is the best of the series. Playing that is much more entertaining than the single-player. The park editor is superb. There are so many more objects that it will keep you occupied for hours trying to get that "perfect park."

In summation, it's a great game, buy it.

The Tony Hawk series is amazing. Each version that comes out, is better than the last. Well, its happened again. And unlike most sports game this year version has lots of new stuff added to it. (Like levels, charecters, an online mode, a game demo, etc.) Although there a few flaws in it, Which you may notice if your really into the sport.

The graphics look prety good, for the most part. Although i did find some slow down in certain areas of the levels. Which makes the graphics look not as good in some part of the levels. Some of the bonus levels look really good.

The gameplay is good. The levels are much bigger than the previous versions. All the usual features are there. Including an online mode. The skate park editor is larger and improved. The create a skater has more depth . For example you can customize there hair, glasses, socks, shoes,etc. Theres a revert move.The skaters crashing animations have improved. They look very simalar to a skating video and/or somone bailing, which i've seen. The secret level and charecters are awesome, but i can't tell you what they are it will ruin the suprise. ( hint: think star wars.) There is lots of replay value.

sound: The sound is good. I personally like the second ones sound out of the three, but thats just my preface.The bystanders actually talk.

controlls: The controlls are good. There easy to learn and play as ussual. The revert move is hard to master.

The bad
1. Although the revert move is new and innovative. I don't like it its hard to link with tricks. Although i've done it alone I have only done it a few times with tricks.
2. The game is fairly easy. Expierienced players will breeze through it. Less expierienced probably won't. I got through the career mode in three weeks.
3. There aren't enough real or near realistic skate locations. There was lots in the first one. The famouse skatestreet and venice beach in the second one and only a few in the first one.

THis is a must buy game available on all platforms. so buy it. It's the best tony hawk to date.

A classic skateboarding game.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is one of the best skateboarding games ever made.Its just totally amazing and addictive...Plus its always hella fun.The controls are perfect and its easy to pick up and play.The graphics are also nice.I think the soundtrack is pretty good,it has some artists like CKY,Alien Ant Farm,Redman,Del The Funky Homosapien,Motorhead,House of Pain and more.Theres also some incredible new tricks that were not in the previous Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games.To top it off,theres really great multiplayer modes and online play to boot.At its great price,theres no reason why you shouldent own this fantastic skateboarding game.

Hawk, Lasek, Steamer...Darth Maul!? What's going on here!? Doesn't really matter though, because its awesome. The graphics on this game or so spectacularly crisp and smooth that they blow away all the other Tony Hawk games. Plus, pulling off the tricks and rolling around levels is simple due to the tight play control. I can't forget the soundtrack either. There's nothing like linking manuals to grinds while listening to The Ramones's "Blitzkrieg Bop" Having the opportunity to make your own parks and skaters with an astounding amount of customizable features expand on this game greatly. Not to mention the amount of cheats and codes. A variety of mission objectives to complete, spectacular special tricks, and more features than you can shake a stick at make Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 better than any extreme sports game in existance.

Yet another great Tony Hawk Game

I own every Tony Hawk game in one form or another and they are all great. The third game of this series does not disappoint. These levels are huge! There is so much to do here you can spend most of your time just exploring and getting to know the course.

Bottom line - If you liked the other games in this series, you will love this game. They have maintained all of the great elements and added additional touches that make this game the most fun you can have on your PS2.

Same old THPS2

I don't know what I was expecting when I ran out to the store and got THPS3 the day of it's release. Maybe I was hoping for great graphics like Madden 2002, or maybe the story-line of Metal Gear Solid. When I got home and popped in the game, I was disappointed from the first board all the way to the last level (which I got to in the same night). THPS3 builds on the exact same stuff that was packed into THPS2. In fact, I would call THPS3 an add-on pack (except for the online capability, which no one has yet). The graphics haven't changed much and neither have the moves. Secrets and hidden areas are far and few between...I found them to be more abundant on THPS2. Needless to say, after a day of playing this game, it's going back. Perhaps GTA3 will keep my interest longer, or maybe even fingernails on a chalkboard? Bottom line...if you're looking from an upgrade from THPS2 don't get your hopes up. If you're looking for more scenery for THPS3, this is the game to get.

Greatness

THPS3 is the best game for PS2 to date. The graphics are awesome, gameplay is better, levels are bigger and the interactive environmets are sweet! The pedestrians and voices are funny, like when you hear someone say "bust a trick" or something. There are a ton of tricks to do, with a lot of hidden ones as well. The unlockable videos are crazy, and so are the unlockable characters and cheats (here's a hint: you will be surprised to find some "old" levels). The create-a-skater and create-a-park feature are 10 times better than in THPS2, because you have so many options to choose from. The only complaint I would have is online play, because it does not, and I repeat, DOES NOT, support AOL. So if you have AOL and are hoping to play online, you will not be able to. But other than that, this game is perfect.

The One reason to own a PS2!

This is the best game for PS@ yet! The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is unbelieveable. The flatland and revert are great additions! The levels are so big and people to interact with. Plus this game has a killer soundtrack! This game is a perfect 5 on my scale and I hope on yours too!
