Man I bought this gameback when it was 50$ but even then it was worth it dozens of skaters to beat the game with not to mention you can change what the look like and you can even create your own skaters the goals are fun and not that hard except a few you can unlock some cool charecters such as Darth Maul, Woverine, and some from the first such as Officer Dick and you can also unlock levels from the first such as the Warehouse and Burnside overall the graphics are good the soudtrack with keep you tricking off for hours this is huge game and will take you awhile to complete with dozens of unlockables ... you can't go wrong

AWESOME!!

OK guys - let's review. Tony Hawk 1 - awesome. Tony Hawk 2 - even better. So my words of wisdom are: BUY THIS GAME!! If you are like me and have read previews and seen screenshots, then you probably have already reserved your copy. Plus, in this game they've thrown out lame Bob Burnquist and added Bam Margera - SWEET. If you have a PS2, this is a must buy.

This game is easily the best skateboarding game for PS2. I can't stop playing it. The graphics are great!! Tony Hawk is easily the best skateboarder because of his moves and also because of all these cool skateboarding games after him. But this is the Best.

Maybe just a little overrated?

There is no question that the Tony Hawk series is quality gaming. I have owned all the iterations on the Playstation/PS2. My concern is this: aren't these games all exactly alike? The biggest advance to the actual game (aside from the move to the PS2) was the level editor added to THPS2. Otherwise the gameplay and features haven't changed since the first game. None of these facts keeps reviewers from granting perfect scores to every successive release. Don't get me wrong-I love these games, and I play them and they deserve to be popular. But are they perfect? No. Are they the best games ever made? Most assuredly not. Just what are these game reviewers comparing THPS to? Other skateboard games? Games from every genre? Games on the same system? I guess my point is that, just like Final Fantasy and Resident Evil (and, as we will see, Metal Gear) games, THPS games get an unfair advantage because of the brand name, not the merit soley based on gameplay.

Now that you've read my tirade, go out and buy THPS3. It's great.

THIS GAME IS SIMPLY AMAZING!

This game will obviously be the best in the well known series, using the ps2's next-generation graphics, and Neversoft never fails to disappoint in terms of gameplay and development. When i first saw this at E3, I was overcome with a feeling of joy that i knew would only be surpassed by actually owning the game. It'll have new tricks, new and huge levels, and even a new skater. Simply put, BUY THIS GAME!

I went to the E3 game show and played Hawk 3 for about an hour. It's the same game as the last two. Ride around and pick up the SKATE letters and the floaty video tapes. They really need to do something new with the game. If you don't add in a bunch of new gameplay and features (which they didn't), version 3 of anything gets stale....

All I can say is WOW...who would have ever guessed that an already awesome series can possibly get better. Well in THPS3, it does.

Graphics-The graphics are a great improvement from the DC counterparts...Gone are the pixelated blood and the jaggy hands, and in are the life-like characters and objects. this is the perfect example of what the PS2 can do.

Gameplay-Sweet, as usual. what we've come to know and love, but with a ton of added features.

Sound-Man, there is so much music in this game that you'll be mind-boggled. Over 15 different songs are in this game, and each one fits the game perfectly.

Value: With an extra online feature, there is so many things to do in this game that it never gets boring or old...

Reviewers Tilt: Buy it. Now!

Very entertaining and can be addicting

THPS3 is better than the second one. The graphics are pretty good and there a lot more tricks you can do. Also, not only can you design your own skater, but you can change the appearance of the pros too. You can can make them have hats, sunglasses, backpacks, tatoos, basically whatever you want. Third of all, you can still change your deck and wheels, but now you can change the grip tape too.
Some people get frusturated in this game because at first it is hard to land tricks. You won't have any problem if you know what you are doing though. The people that get frusturated are th ones that mash all of the buttons when they go into the air to try and hit big pointers like in the previous thps. Even if you are one of those people, in no time you will be able to land tricks just as good as anyone else.
Another plus is that you can make your own skatepark (just like in thps2).
overall this is a really good game and is a lot of fun, but don't stop playing because of the first impression, cuz i gotta admit at first you get the feeling you wasted your money, but after playing it for a little bit more, you'll be glad you did! buy the game if you liked the other 2, or if you are simply looking for a lot of fun.

Can you say One of the best games ever!!

This game was awesome! Rail Hops reverts 720 quadruple heelflips this game has it all.It is a must buy. Awesome graphics pretty good music and really cool skate park editor. The only boring part is you eventually run outta tricks but what is really fun is figuring out how to get to certain places nad doing certain stuff and grinding other stuff.Like in Canada you have to hit a certain lever to get the secret tape. Create a skater is cool too. WARNING DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME FOR 3 HOURS STRAIGHT. ESPECIALLY IF IT IS YOUR ONLY GAME! You can but play other games along with it
