Activision, please don't release a 4th one!

This game stinks. The graphics aren't that great and the control is terrible, making it hard to play. Activision should make a new game, instead of concentrating on Tony Hawk this, Tony Hawk that. Tony Hawk 1 and 2 are more enjoyable.

Well, what have we here? Just the best skateboarding game ever! I don't even know where to start, we have really come a long way from the first two. The options are almost limitless, for the create-a-skater and for the whole game. The levels are huge and have so much depth. The one player mode challenges are actually challenging. And the new addition of the revert only serves to make it better. This game is up there with SSX and the other hall-of-famers. I absolutely love this game. And it takes alot to impress me and if your a hard-core gamer I'm sure you feel the same. Bottom line go out and buy this game as soon as you finish reading this. If it's too late and the stores are closed order it from this site because they have a good price for it. Oh yeah and WOLVERINE need I say more? That's it from me. I'm out :)

Best Tony Hawk Yet

After I mastered the first two tony hawk games, I was looking for a challenge in the the third. And a challenge I got! In this third edition, there are all new levels, skaters, and missions. It took me a while to get the hang of all of the skaters new moves, but once I did, I was unstoppable. Tony Hawk is a great game for real skaters who are serious about the sport. So what are you all waiting for, go get it now!

I give it a 99.9

THPS3 for PS2 is so much better than the THPS3 for PSone. it has 3D graphics and super cool moves. I like the movies a lot especially Rodney Mullen's. Some cool tricks are: The Handstand Double Flip,Truckstand, and many more.

This realistic high flying game is even better than the
first or second. It has even more characters. But the thing that makes THPS3 even better than the rest is the really cool
environments. This game is what Play Station 2 was made for!

skating is fun

This (the newest in the series of skateboarding titles from Neversoft / Activision 02) has just gotten better! Along with all the features from the previous 2 games in the series, this game uses all the advantages of the PS2 to give a more enriched environment. Objects interact, people respond to you, and you can do certain things to change the environment and create new terrains to skate on.

I would highly reccommend this game to anyone who has played the first two and enjoyed them, but this game also includes something that will appeal to someone who has never seen these titles: A Tutorial. Within half an hour, you'll learn all the basic concepts to play the game with. And this game is big... it will take a long time to complete (and that's assuming you're playing around the clock). With cheat modes to unlock, and secret areas and characters to discover, this game has the longevity many other games do not offer.

And one more thing... it can go on-line! Either play it through the USB port of the PS2 or wait until Sony release their own modem. It's not compatible with all modems... so make sure to check the instructions to see what you need if this is a high priority for you.

Overall, I love this game. My fingers ache after holding the PS2 controls for so long... but it only makes me want to play more!

This game kicks serious you know what!

I have eagerly been anticipating this game ever since I completely beat THPS 2, and finally got it a few days ago. I must say that while I love this game already, it is not heading in the direction that I had hoped. THPS 2 was a better overall game in my opinion, even if it wasn't as smooth or had as good graphics. One of the lame things about this game is that there is absolutely no reward for using your brain or skating creative spots anymore. In THPS 2 it was a lot of fun finding secret spots because there was cash to be found and cash allowed you to boost your stats. In this game, there is absolutely no reason to find most of the secret areas. Sure, you could call some of the objectives (like starting the Earthquake) a "secret area", but this is something you HAVE to do, not something that rewards you for trying to skate everything in sight. Sure, finding the spots are kind of cool, but they don't really offer you anything. Instead you just skate around looking for things and picking them up (like stat points), which is more of a narrative game then anything having to do with how well you can skate the locations and what kind of crazy things you look to see if you can skate. They really should go back to using the cash, rather than adding stat points as a straight objective. However, one of the really good things about this game is getting "props" from viewstanders. This does make you feel good when you do something cool and suddenly get props. I also agree that one of the best things about THPS 1 & 2 was the incorporation of real skate spots. As a former skateboarder who can't skate anymore because of extensive knee problems, the best thing about these games was being able to hit spots I'd been to, like Embarcadero or Burnside. The only level I really found to be exciting was the airport, just because I've always wanted to skate one. I also didn't like the fact that this game really depends on your doing combos now -- I liked being able to beat the game with vert moves. Now I am forced to do all kinds of grinds, which isn't as much fun to me. I miss trying to find the best halfpipe location in the level and boosting my score through vert moves. Nowadays you have to look for the best grind location. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy this game, but I thought it took a step in the wrong direction from THPS 2. And what was up with Canada? Grinding trees? I think the rewards for discovering things should be like THPS 2, where you get to skate real places (like the Animal Chin ramp) and get extra cash to boost your stats.

A Racing game for Playsttion 2.
And what a racing game!!
We all love and remember the Gran Turismo games that were so successful on the Playstation. Well it's back and better than ever on the PS2. Terrifick gameplay and eye watering phsysicall effects that'll leave you trying to figure out where this game has been all youre life. The cars have been copied (and some redesigned) so perfectly that when you see the intro, you'll think it's just a buffered hand drawed movie. And when you finally realize how very wrong you are, it'll send chilles down youre spine! It is simply the best out there when it comes to on-road driving. The rally is there but soon some rally games are coming to PS2, so don't buy this game for the rally mode. The crashing in GT3 is a bit dissapointing. You just sort'a slow down and jitter a bit, but it's a minor faullt. The music is so very good and you never get sick of hearing Feeder's Seven days in the sun. Lots of cars to win and buy -infact approx. 150- and a whole bunch of cups, modes and hidden extras. The handeling is smooth and fantastick, the rally is bumpy and actionpacked (thank's to the dualshock2) and the endurance races are, well, enduring. And this game last longer than than most other games on the Playstation2 if you want to unlock everything. What more could you ask fore, huh?
Do your self a favoure. Buy GT3.

+ the music never gets on your nerves and is rocking all the way
+ all the modes and races will have you occupied for life
+ the incredible machine prooves itself with a party of polygons
+ the gameplay is fantstick
- the strange crashing makes it the allmost perfect racing sim.
- you can't fine tune the sfx and music like before. Just on/off

Addictive: 94/100
