Don't Judge what you haven't played

Why are there so many reviews for a product that isn't on the market. And why are they all along the lines of "this is the best game. I love Tony Hawk. I'm a freakin idiot". Now I do believe that this is a good game, it sticks to the THPS formula while adding the PS2's power and new elements in the the revert. The online mode might be good, and from what I have seen it WILL be as good as those morons tell you. I know that one reviewer thought it was too similar to the other two. They might of been right who knows.

Just don't review products you haven't played.

What age group is this game good for? My son is 8 and 1/2; and he wants this game BAD...Can any of you boys help me out here :)

I can't really say much about this game, too many people have been hyping it already (without even playing it I might add). Suffice to say, this game kept me up until the wee hours of the morning....again....just like the others did. The animation is off the hook, it took me a while to get used to the smoothness of the skating. When you're grinding rails if you start to tip to one side your body actually moves rather than the skater just tipping diagonally but remaining in the same grind position. They added like 3 new bail animations which are awesome & the graphics are so detailed you can see the tread on the bottom of your shoes.

Now for the gameplay. There's a slew of new lip tricks & now you can balance 'em out like you do grinds. Adding in the revert for vert tricks just makes your combos even more outrageous, it's awesome & it doesn't take that long to master. The thing I like best is that they added a buncha freestyle moves for Rodney, they're DOPE! One of the features that just takes this game to a new level is the ability to allocate stat points where you need 'em. So if you need to do a big air over a trailer (HINT!) you can take all the points outta your rail balance & bring your ollie, hang time, & air to their maximum.

The game interaction in this version is insane. If you've played Hawk 2, you know about Philadelphia & having to grind the phone wire so you can unlock the park & do the liptrick goal. All kindsa stuff like that in this game, the levels are so big you'll spend your first coupla runs on each level just figuring out where you are & where everything leads. All the people on each level interact with you in some way or another, some ask you to show off & you get bonuses for impressing 'em, some will actually punch you & knock you off your board.

Lastly, this may seem kinda trivial, but the videos at the end are smooth. In Hawk 2, they ended up pretty choppy & kinda gritty (anybody see the kickflip underflip in the Rodney video? You miss it 'cuz of the choppy animation). This one you see every flip & every turn (except for Rodney, but you need slow motion to figure out what he's doin' anyways).

So there's my synopsis, it's not very complete 'cuz I've only had the game for a day, but I played it for like 4 or 5 hours & won it with Rodney Mullen so I have more leg to stand on than most of the reviewers here so far. I'm not telling you everything 'cuz this is a game you NEED to play, words won't do it justice. I've tried all these other skateboard games & they're all just chasing this series. I was playing Tony Hawk 2 up until the day that this released & I was still having fun playing it too. As long as this series continues, I'll never need to buy another game for my Playstation.

Very cool. Best extreme sport game I have ever played in my life. It makes Tony Hawk look [cruddy]. You can do phat moves.

The package came like brand new. Was very impressed on the quick ship time and what great condition it came in . I would give this game 1000 stars if I could. There is awsome game controle, and graphics. The best part is the Multi player mode. You should definetly buy this game.

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 is not fun after you have played Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4, Tony Hawks Underground or Tony Hawks Underground 2 because in the new ones your not timed untill you pick a goal. In Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 you timed from the begining and you have to do something in about 3 minutes. Unless you love Tony Hawk games dont buy this. Save your money.
