Think about it for a min. Put the PS2 power in Activisions hands to make a Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3. What could they do wrong! The levels are gonna be atleast 2x larger than in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2. Definately reserve this game. It is gonna be the best sports PS2 game for a looong time!!

One of the best ever.

I this game was DA BOMB!The graphics were killer!New tricks,a new skater, and new styles.I highly recommend this gaame to people who crave sport games.Like the first two,the controller rumbles. The worst part is that Bob Burnquist is not in the game. There are 10 levels but I've only played in 2 of them. This game is the best I've ever played! How bout U???

WHOA.... Look at this game! T(ony)H(awks)P(ro)S(kater)1 and two were awesome and now look! They've somehow found even more ways to make it better! How do they do this!?!!? Man, if any of the readers of this are parents and your kids are asking for it for the holidays, buy it! you will not regret it. This game is ahead of it's time! let's see, great graphics, awesome levels, they've improved the skater maker AND level maker. yikes, as soon as they make T.H.P.S. 3 for Mac I'm buying it! Don't Delay! Buy this game as soon as possible!

Tony Hawk 3 on the PS2 looks really good, and the skating is smooth and fast-paced. Basically what you would expect from Activision the PS2.

My only complaint are a few of the levels. Canada...what is up with skating on trees and barns? Getting Chuck "unstuck"? Also, the trailer park/suburbia level is funny at first, but the focus here should be skating not on poking fun at the blue collar demographic. Oh yeah, the airport level looks good, but I can't take it seriously.

For realistic, true-to-life skatespots, check out the first 2 Hawk games.

Mad Awesome Game

Yeah... I just started playing this game the other day, and it is really crazy. The graphics are pretty nice, and all the little effects make it good. For instance, if you fall, you leave a little blood patch. Something that doesn't make sense to me, though, is if you fall off a big height... there's no blood, but if you fall during a grind, there is a substantial amount. The levels are really nice, with lots of stuff to do. The first level has a lava pool and pit, and a water pit, but you get nice points if you do like a 360 flip or something even crazier over it. I didn't spend much time playing Tony Hawk 2, so I dont remember if there were Bonelesses in it, but there definitely are in this one. Anyway, if you like the other tony hawk games, you should get it, but I would definitely prefer to get SSX Snowboarding... since my personal preference is snowboarding.

Too short

If you put all your other gmaes aside, you can EASILY beat this game is 2 hours. I did all 9 challenges in the first level in 2 runs. The second level in about 3. The level Canada is too good to be true. I EASILY got 500,000 points in it. This is how to, go straight and turn right when u can. Go off the half pipe and do a kickflip+720 melon grab to revert to a nose manual +360 flip and blunt slide grind that rail, land in a manual then do a kickflip. tat should give you about 100,000. When thats done, do the same about 5 times just instead of melon do another grab trick so the points would add up.

I got to the last level in 20 minutes. Then the last level is frustrating. i finally beat it and put the game aside. I reached for gta3 and wasted 2 another 2 hours with that.

If ur looking for a short game, buy this.
If ur looking for a SUPER FUN and challenging game, get gta3. If u dont have gta3, then u dont have a ps2 becuase a gta3 and vice city make a ps2 the best system.

good game but not for that price

of course it's going to be a good game if it's one of the tony hawk games but now that its pretty old they need to reduce the price. its fun but not quite fun enough for 50 bucks.

The best thps so far...

This game without a doubt ROCKS! The way you land the tricks is cool. In this game Activision introduces the brand new flatland tricks. These tricks help you get points without olliing. It is easier to land tricks compared to THPS or THPS2 and has awesome graphics. The levels are creative and are hard and easy at the same time. Also the create-a-skater and park editor are sweet.
Bassically this is the best so far because, in the fall Activision is coming out with a whole new line-up of extreme sports games. The new games are Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX 2, Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer, Shaun Murray's Pro Wakeboarder, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, Travis Pastrana's Pro Moto-X, and Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder 2. KSPS & MHPB2 are coming out in August. SMPW & THPS4 are coming out in the fall. And TPPM & SPPS2
are coming out in 2003.
