this is an extremly good game. i bought it when it first came out about 2 years ago. and i have been playing eversince. it is extremly fun after u get the hang of it. i find myself playing and totally losing track of time. i start playing at 3 and i finish at 5:30 without even realizing it. this is a awsome game and it is a steal at ... bucks for the battle chest. (which comes with everything both starcraft the expansion set and the stragadey guides.

THIS is a TRUE game, any good gamer that LOVES to command and build an army would want this, it is so much fun playing on B-net and challenging your friends. If you love things like WarCraft, you'll love StarCraft and Brood War. TRY IT AND MAKE IT FOR AUIR!

If you are looking for a great action-packed game, buy Star Craft: Battle Chest. It is THE best buy you can find. You will never go board with this game(s). After you finish the missions you can make your own missions\levels\stages.

I'd spend a lots of time with this game, also will be a good idea that Blizzard makes a more expansion sets or StarCraft II, If you like real-time strategic games, StarCarft will be your best option,Also I suggest buy the Prima's Campaing Editor Guide at Amazon.com this will help you to make your own games

i got this game like a year ago, and the missions are still fun. i now want to get the brood war exp. and my friends say its cool. BLIZZARD makes the best games ever except WARCRAFT, which is the worst game on the planet.

This is an excellent buy. You are getting 2 quality games, that will lead to endless hours of enjoyment. You have your choice of what type of life form you want, and you have various structures to build, compared to the common medieval games. If you enjoy this type of game, I also highly suggest Age of Empires 2 and the expansion pack and Empire Earth. All highly recommended.

Starcraft, old but still exceptional!

Starcraft is an old game for the computer. but even tho, it is still a very good game. u play as three different civilizations; Terran, humans. Protoss, advanced aliens that rely on technology heavily. and Zerg, aliens that are completly biological and use absolutly no robots at all. u play in the campaign mode and go along with the story, which is not bad by the way. however, it gets really hard in the last mission of the regular starcraft, where u have to destroy the overmind of the zerg. then in brood war, the expansion set, the last mission is almost impossible. the first time to beat it took me about 7 hours on that mission alone. starcraft is a really hard game and involves deep strategic thinking in order to win. overall, it is a great game.

Why get it seperate when you can get it all?

Why would you want to get starcraft, brood wars, and both guids when you can get the battle chest? Starcraft is one of the best strategy games I have ever played. Being able to play as 3 civilizations trying to wipe eachother, what more could you ask for? Also playing online is probably the best feature.

I have been playing this game for over 3 years and it still is not boring. Battle.net (multiplayer) is so much fun and their are so many different types of games. Starcraft has so many strategies and uses of its units that I am still learning today! This is a must buy, trust me you will not regret it.

Best game ever if you play on battle net get ready for people who lag alot the two strategy guides are pretty bad on multiplayer but good for single player the first starcraft is good but the brood war is a lot better you get a lot of new guys and maps good storline look for me on battle net 3.16rattlesnake
