This is one of the most addictive games on this planet. StarCraft has a very creative single player storyline and three different races you and play as. And Brood wars has a great story and some new units. But thats not why I like this game. Multiplier on this game blows the single player mode out of the solar system. With up to a 8 player hook up and a never ending assortment of game in category's like Melee in with you can teem up to face a computer or other players, Use map settings in with you can play RPG's or any kind of story based scenario. Trust me when I say you will like this game and will never get tierd of it.

i've had this game since it first came out and im still not boered of it if you want a good stratagy game that has a high replay value get this game it rocks!

StarCraft is the best strategy to date. The three species' very different strengths and weaknesses makes for diversified game play. Also, the computer AI is VERY different and displays some human nastiness, especially in finding that one weak spot in your defence, and sending a whole heap of troops to wallop you. Nobody but a fellow StarCraft player will understand the dread of spotting a cluster of Zerg Devourers homing in on the one spot in your city that DOESN'T have adequate air defence... or the frantic search for the little red lazer target after hearing the 'Nuclear launch detected' warning go of when you don't even HAVE nukes yet... Really, play this game. Then play BroodWar. Then play it all over again. This game will mercilessly invade your sleep pattern. You may even start understanding why 'You make me warp in a pylon' is 'n FUNNY pick up line for a guy...

this is probably the best strategy game i have played.it is so addictive, you start dreaming about it and making bad comparisons of the characters and real people.this pack comes with starcraft, starcraft:brood war,prima's official starcraft strategy guide and prima's official brood war strategy guide.each species has their own weaknesses and strengths and there are lots of units.plus you save 40 dollars because each strategy guide is worth 20 dollars.if you are thinking about buying this game then stop reading this and buy it right now.

I have played all of the Command & Conquer games, but StarCraft beats them all! To start with, the sounds and graphics are spectacular. The missions quite challenging and thuroughly absorbing. The player has the option of choosing from three distinct races, each having their own set of missions. This intriguing option makes StarCraft superior to any other game of this type.

I do have some minor criticisms, however. The strategy guides included in the Battle Chest are cheaply printed. The black and white screen shots range from poor to altogether useless. Also, the animated faces of the speakers during mission briefings are somewhat puppet-like. I would have preferred human actors as in Command & Conquer.

This game is sooo addicting! I first had this game about a year ago, and then got it taken away because i played it too much. I was literally on it for at least 5 hours daily. I just recently got it again for Christmas, and play it just as much. If you want a game to play, then this is definitely the best around. I am looking forward to what Blizzard Entertainment will put out next!

I dont know why I'm writing this review since everyone already has this game but well this is the best game ever made. Its incredibly addicting with a great storyline and internet play. It is very fun to play. Its a better buy to buy the battlechest cause after a few days with the game youll want to play Brood War to see how different and better it will be. It sometimes takes hours to play 1 game though and has gotten me in trouble with my parents a few times but i dont know what i would do with out it.I could play all day long if my parents allowed it.Since its been out a few years they have done many kool things like making scenerios like Harry Potter, X-Men, Dragonball Z,and Football just to name a few.

Great strategy game, especially with the Brood Wars expansion. And once you have beat the missions for each race, the game remains fun to play thanks to the ability to play for free on Battle.Net or play with friends on a LAN.

A classic game, strategies, and hey ALL THE CDS who could resist well my parents couldn't obviously awesome gift for those RTS fanatics and hey destroying other people is kinda fun!

This game rules. It is a ton of fun, and is very easily addicting. The fact that you can choose between three distinct races, instead of several that all look the same with a few changes, is really cool. If you like games like Command and Conquer and Age of Empires you will love this game. The first levels in the single player are very instructive. If you like playing on the internet, this is the best game you could find. I got it soon after it came out and I have not regretted the choice.
