I actually don't play video games, but I bought this one for my son and we have spent hours playing it together. I can't say enough about how much fun it has been to explore the ocean together. Now if I could only stop thinking about it at work....

I bought this game for my children. They all love it! It is a nice quiet game that we can all learn from. We all enjoy it watching the game as well as playing. My youngest is 5 and my oldest is 9. We play it a lot right before bedtime. It helps us all to calm down after a busy day.

We enjoy looking for all of the different sea life. Great game!
No killing! Great for the whole family

If You Want Something Relaxing....

Then this is the game for you. If you want action, look somewhere else. This is the perfect video game for after a stressful day of work....you swim around and interact with fish and explore the enviroment. The music is relaxing and the graphics are impressive for a Wii game. Very detailed...you can even see sunlight reflecting on the sandy bottom. Sound effects are relaxing too, as you always have the constant sound of breathing through a regulator.

I have a 42" LCD tv but I'd imagine it wouldn't be as impressive on say a 27" tv.

Truly spectacular graphics and music. The most relaxing video game I've ever enjoyed. If you ever wanted to scuba dive or enjoy seeing films and shots of the ocean and ocean life, you'll love this game.
The only complaint I could possibly find with it is I wish it was bigger than it is.

The premise is very basic. You're a new diver helping out with some oceanic exploration. You've got to take pix, guide other divers, and search for elusive species, and the completion of these tasks earns you rewards like new gear.
While it lacks the action of side-scrolling Mario types, or the suspense of puzzlers like the Tomb Raider series, this game has a level of fun all it's own. The learning curve is fast, the graphics are enjoyable, the quests are simple, and for me, the desire to complete more and more is pretty strong.
Overall, it's fun to just wander around and see what you can see. It's exciting when you discover things like sharks, turtles, and even whales!
It's a great game to just escape into for a while to relax and enjoy the views.

The beauty of nature and simplicity.

This game is something else. Its different, relaxing, beautiful, educational, and so much more. Of all those descriptions of this game I just mentioned, how often do you see them all associated with a game? I don't think I have ever used all of those to describe one game before.

Endless Ocean is different from other game for a couple of reasons. The first that comes to mind is the fact that there is no danger in the game whatsoever. You can't run out of air, or suffer from pressure changes, not even the sharks will dare to disrupt the quiet peace this game brings. The other factor that makes the game different is that there is no objective other than to relax, have fun, and maybe even learn a little. The game gives you the option of completing objectives, and will reward you for it by giving you new pieces of gear and such, but you are in no way forced to do these objectives, and the gear has no effect other than to allow you to customize your looks.

The game is not only relaxing for the reasons I stated above but for two other reasons that stand out in my mind. The first being the simple controls. Simply point the Wiimote in the direction you want to go, and hold B to swim in that direction. If you're too lazy to hold B, press -, and you will automatically swim. If you see an animal you would like to interact with, merely press A, and then move the Wiimote about to poke, pet, or feed it. You don't even need the nunchuck attachment. The other reason I find this game relaxing is nature itself, you can hear the water and waves moving about, see the wildlife going about their day, sometimes it almost feels as if you're there, just floating along in the ocean.

This game is beautiful, plain and simple. Its one of the best looking games on the Wii. There are fantastic particle and lighting effects throughout the game. The textures aren't all that great at first look, but you can zoom in and see that the are actually quite good for a Wii game. The creators did a good job of capturing the beauty of nature and the ocean.

I do have a few small gripes with the game. The load times can be a little ridiculous at times. The soundtrack is pretty lackluster, with only two songs, and they both get old fast. I guess you can't really complain about ti because Arika has allowed you to put your own music into the game, but for people like me who are too lazy to do that, the soundtrack disappoints. Also, once you get on the boat, the graphics take a turn for the worse, as well as the character animations. The cabin menu system just feels sloppy and slapped together. The dialogue between character is painful at times, but luckily there's not much talking.

Overall a fantastic game for those who can tolerate the fact that there's no objectives. I highly recommend it to those who feel they need a break from the norm, love nature, or just enjoy great games!

My 10 year old daughter loves this game. I find it to be quite boring to play but interesting to watch - but anything to keep her busy and wanting to learn more about fish species is great! I am amazed in how she can name off all kinds of fish and several different mammals that are not common. Highly recommend as a learning tool.

My nine year old grandson and I have shared many hours "diving" together. As a certified PADI diver, I find it is as close to the real experience as you can get and stay dry. He drives the boat, trains the dolphins, checks the e-mail while I mostly paddle along collecting fish for the book and enjoying the scenery. Love it!

I'm ten years old. I generally like the game endless ocean but there's a few problems I'd like to tell you about -
like you can only go a certain amount away from the ship. I would to be able to swim farther away from the ship than I can and the ship can only go in the bay, I would like to swim in the oceans too.
Also, the deep valley is okay but it gets very dark! and plays very scary music and I don't want to go down there.
In the Aquarium, you can only work on one tank, I wish you could work on all of the tanks.
Here's what I like about the game:
I like the exploring, and all the fish that I see. You get to take pictures of them for magazines and also you get to stock the aquarium.
Overall I'm glad I bought it.
