This is definitely a wonderful game for the diehard Final Fantasy Fan. I personally think this is better than the original Final Fantasy Tactics. The species that inhabit the country of Ivalice--Humans, Moogles, Vieras, Nu Mou, and Bangaa--are extremely fun to play with, the environment is spectacular, and the main characters, although weak in the beginning, get extremely fun to beat enemies with as time passes into the game. If you are a Final Fantasy fan, someone looking for something new to play that is a lot of fun, or just someone looking for an RPG that's not too easy, but not impossible, then this is the perfect game for you!

I can't speak for everyone but I loved this game. If you have played other final fantasy games you may have trouble adjusting to the consept of moving your charecters. For players new to the Final Fantasy series this is an exelent one to start on. There is a knew plot to this one you start in a town called Ivalice at a school having a snow ball fight. Here i must warn you, one of the flaws of this game is the LONG tutorial but it is moderatly important. When the snowball fight is done theres a medium sized intro where the world changes.
The satistics of the game are exelent there are five races, 23 jobs and a good plot to back it up. only pokemons good reputation gives it points above this game. Still it is not an M rated game so dont expect epic battle scenes or swearing. It more than satesfied my needs and i am hard to please. Hope this reveiw helped.
Just like the original Final Fantasy Tactics... just smaller

I really liked the original PS version so I got this one so I could play it on the plane. The AI isn't as good and it seems a little easy, but the item-ability concept makes it more challenging to develop your characters.

This game is fun until you realize you don't care about a very thin plot line and the battles get very tiresome. It's cool to change jobs and get new skills, but that will only keep you occupied for so long. It is also frustrating to pick up a new guy and have to level him up to be as useful as your current guys. Basically, the only things that carried over from the PS version are the characters and the laws.
There are some plus's to this game. First off, I bought it through Amazon for a decent price in good shape, so you could get a hold of it for about 20 to 30 bucks. It is fun to find/buy new weapons and equipment to give your guys new skills. Also, when you actually have to fight a challenging batlle. I found this game to be incredibly easy for the first half of it.
If you play any other turn based strategy game on GBAdvanced, do not be deceived. They all have very similar mechanics and gameplay. I understand that this is on a Game Boy Advance, and should be played with that in mind. I guess I was sold on the name, and was hoping to be impressed.
I am writing this review to let people know that this game is not half as good as the original, and should only be purchased after proccessing that in your brain.

This was the first final fantasy game I'd ever played on my own. What a surprise! It's wonderful, and I've played it for three years, and I'm still surprised. Just when I thought that the game was over, I discovered that my assumption was incorrect. I never get bored or frustrated by it, and the 'tactics' really are what counts the most. I definitely recommend this to anyone, anyone at all. It's my favorite of all the games that I own.
