world series baseball 2k2 is probably the worst baseball game i have ever played in my life. home run derby stinks. the players dont even look like themselves, the game was just horrible. world series 2k1 is much better than this. batting is much harder, than the first. if your thinking of buying this, think again because you will hate it.

I just got WSB2K2 and played my first game last night with no experience at all. I was the New York Yankees and I played against the New York Mets. The graphics and game play are excellent and the game was very challenging. It is very difficult to hit, especially the first time you play, but with experience I will get better. And fielding is a bit challenging also, which I believe are two features which make this game great. The challenge. If you like baseball and want a challenging game than WSB2K2 is your game. You won't be disappointed. By the way, I lost the game 7-2.

This game is gonna be a hit because the only reason Visual Concepts made another World Series Baseabll to improve the problems it had in the previous version. Why would they make another game??? Man, are we glad that WSB 2k2 has finally come out. This most anticipated game is DEFINATELY worth picking up. Freely controlling your defense, to me, is one of the best things that this game has to offer. For those who bought WSB 2k1 (me included) we didn't expect the game to be like that at all. No controlled defense, no home run derby, none of that was present. But this title brings that and a little bit more. We can all finally create our own team and put are skills to the test as we make a run to the World Series. If you haven't gotten it already, pick it up, you'll be glad you did.

This is going to be the baseball game of all baseball games. From what I heard and read it's going to be realistic and accurate. I knew Sega had something up their sleeves. This is going to be the Monster.I hope you all enjoy....

With WSB2K1, Sega made the game itself. Visual Concepts was the company that made NBA 2k1, NFL 2K1, and NHL 2k, all fantastic games. With VC's touch, WSB2K2 is expected to include Franchise mode, fielding, better pitching selection, more realistic batting controls, and more.

If Sega of America can improve on the mistakes it made in 2k1, this will be the best baseball game ever made. 2k1 had the best graphics I have ever seen, so Sega can leave those alone. They do need to improve on defense. I was really disappointed when I couldn't move my defenders and routine pop flys would drop for singles. Also, it was way to easy to hit home runs. It was impossible to bunt for a single. There were limited options compared to the other 2k1 games (NFL and NBA), like franchise mode and create a team. I was also looking forward to having a Home Run Derby (although most of my games were). The announcing was so annoying too. If the people of Sega can improve on these suggestions, this could be the best sports game.

Everybody knows that WSB 2k1 was a dissiapointment to say the least....ok it STUNK! But what it was missing is easy to replace(more options and fielding). What the hard thing to do is make solid gameplay while entertaining people with good graphics. Which segaa did. Apparently they have put all the pieces together so look for WSB 2K2 to be more than stellar.

If it has Ichiro, im buying it...

It will most likely have Ichiro, and if it does, I'm buying it. Probably one of the main reasons I'm gonna get it! I hope it has all the batters original stances like Ichiro's. I just hope graphics are same as 2k1 except with much better gameplay. I am expecting high hopes for this game because it probably the last baseball game for the almost dead dreamcast...
