It's a clone of Racthet and Clank. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one. If you hated the first one, you'll hate this one. Everything is the same. Yeah, blaster vs mega-blaster. It's still all the same.
Insomniac went a safe route with this sequel. They kept 90% of the original game, put in all new levels of course, and added enough special seasoning to attract fans of the first.
not as good as the first.

i have to say after playing this game i thought it wasnt nearly as good as the original. whoever says sequels arent as good as the first are definitly right. this game lacks origanality everything done here has been done in rachet and clank. which does them better than going commando. going commando is not as powerfully exucuted as the first. the first had all the great ingredints wonderful unfrogettable music. the music here is garbage and barely warrants a mention. the original also put beautifal likeable worlds in there game. the graphics are superb in this game but all the levels are really annoying. plus in the first rachet just had this feel about him i liked him so much he had such a personality and just glancing at him would make you feel good. this game completely lacks the feel the originality the music the fun everything. the weapons in the game are nothing special either. i just think it had a nice likeable wonderfully exucuted storyline before and a characther that just made you feel good. going commando though is a sloppily exucuted game wheres rachet i feel like im playing resident evil not rachet and clank. this game has such a poor storyline i just think the first was so much more enjoyable. it would be a wize decision for you to get the first and just forget about going commando.

If the question comes up between these two as to which to buy...Well, ratchet was okay but not worth the hype. It just didn't have any originality to the game. the design was okay, graphics mediocre, gameplay good but just average. there wasn't anything really original in this game. i liked the first...but...rent it.

Many people may disagree with me on this, but this game just isn't very fun. THe graphics are wonderful, and when you play the first few missions, you feel as though this is one of the greatest games ever. Then that feeling comes to a screeching halt when you buy your first armor. If it weren't for the friggin' armor in this game, I definately would have given this a five. From one point on, you have to continuously buy armor in order to make it through a certain few levels, because if you don't you're screwed. The last armor is a million bolts. A MILLION BOLTS. To raise that grit I had to beat one level ten times, and seeing as how the level was huge, that got extremely boring. In order to raise money for this without doing what I did, you would have to spend nearly nothing throughout the game, which is hard seeing as how it is necessary to spend up to 10,000 bolts in order to gain one little bit of info from some cheap citizen. I am a big Jak and Daxter fan, and I'm used to big environments where you can choose how to approach the situation. Not so in this game. There is one and only one way to get to a certain point, and the environment just goes in one big circle. However if you were a fan of the first R&C and you can't help but waste more money on crap like this, go ahead. I won't stop you.
not so great

pretty much a rehash of the previous game -- not enough to do, not visually stimulating, and not all that impressive.
Not the best sequal out there.

This game is not a game for kids under 14 to say the least. It is way too too violent. The gameplay is okay, graphics are good, replayability non existent. Okay game but not great. See Jak 2.
Stop with all this violence please...

This game lacks creativity. All it is is a shoot em up violent game. I am tired of all the platform games that are coming out that just use violence as their main form of entertainment. I guess that's where we are headed. Having two kids who are highly into video games, I will not buy this one for them.
