Fun and Challenging, but annoying and hard to figure out on some of it.

This game is pretty fun, and something you could enjoy, while you kill time. Some of it doesn't reach my satisfaction, though, like many things in the upper-levels. They can get pretty annoying. Like, anything that uses the glider, and sometimes the levitator, too, and definitely all to do with the synicisor and infiltrator, to open certain places, or get certain things to work. Now, the infiltrator really got on my nerves. But the synicisor did, too. Also, there might have been one or two things on it that might have been suggestive to occultish kind of devices. Like, for example, the hypnomatic. Which is a machine that Ratchet can hypnotize devices, and make them do things in that way that Ratchet can't. And how each machine can pass the hypnosis onto another, too, besides just coming from Ratchet. Now, that suggests occult. I know it's just a machine, instead of an art performance, but it is still hypnotism, and shouldn't be on the game, due to still relating to being occult. Also, there is things on it, relating to astrology. Like, on a snow level, there is a guru (who even hums a lot, in the beginning and ends of sentences), and who collects moonstones, and even crystals on another one, and is into astrology matters, along with astronomy. There shouldn't be occult manners in a game, even if one of them (the hypnotizer) is put in a mechanical device, instead of an art performance. Video games like this should be as pure as they can be. They should mainly avoid things relating to occult and cult, which are evil supernatural kind of things that suggest devil arts. If they have to have any religious stuff in them, then I rather prefer any of it being related in any way to Christianity. Otherwise, there is not be anything in it that relates to supernatural powers, and false religious stuff.
I found this odd

I was searching through the booklet and came across the name "David Kaye," I thought I've seen this name before, so I went here to find out more. After searching Metal Gear Solid and finding out that the Ninja is played by Pinky from Pinky and the Brain and that Liquid Snake was Ryudo in Grandia 2, i search this game and there it was: David Kaye as Clark.
Hands down awesome!

Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando is an extremely superb game. A week ago I was amazed by the complexity of Up Your Arsenal (Ratchet&Clank3), so I asked to borrow Going Commando. It blew me away. All the time I was thinking 'why didn't I get this game a year ago when it came out?' It [...] me in. It also sucked my friends in. One played it all night. The other used to think it wasn't good at all, but after he watched me use all the cool weapons and gadgets, he was begging for the controller. BUY THIS GAME (if you have a PS2) RIGHT NOW!
Nothing Can Get Any Better Than This!!!!!

I was blown away the first time I played R&C 1. The graphics were perfect and the gameplay was off the charts. I didn't think that insomniac had anything to improve on. But then Going Commando came out and I almost feinted. There were about 30+ weapons and gadgets. I thought that I had died and gone to heaven. How could any game be so good? The graphics were awe inspiring and the Ryno II was to die for (literaly). I have had this game for months and I still have not managed to get all the skill points. After playing R&C 1 I was left hungry for more. I was addicted I just couldn't get enough of the goodness. I was addicted to the fantastic gameplay. As soon as I picked up the controller I knew I was in for something special! The story of the game is about a factory President name Mr. Abercrombie Fizzwidget. He enlists Ratchet's help in getting back his experiment which you will find out later on that it is worth more trouble than it took you to get it. UNfortunately Clank doesn't want to go on another adventure so Mr. Fizzwidget gives him a desk job with luxurious house, basically he lives a lavish rich life (but for how long). By the end of the game you will be thourughly shocked by how the events unfurl. On the plus side you get some extremely powerful weapons but your gonna need a nice amount of bolts to buy the best weapons. If you have the money buy the game. If you don't have the money find some money and buy it anyways!! If you don't have this game then you are seriously missing out on something good.
game of the year no matter how ya put it.

rachet and clank going commando was the perfect seqeul. clocking in about 15 hours of solid gameplay. this game has some really nice weapons like the double blitz gun the lancer pulse rifle the hoverbomb gun the plasma coil and the coolest weapon in the universe the amazing ryno 2 which features dosens of intense bullets to your unlucky foe. not only that there are weapon upgrades health increasers and bolts made of gold rather than silver. the game is wicked rachet can get armor coats for protection later in the game. also later in the game there ship selections at the ship shack. all feature diffrent vareitys of color paint stripes design etc. the graphical design is way better than the first and the clean visusully stimulating x box like graphics seen here are all well presented and incredibly polished. the game also features puzzles minigames some nice new clank additions and all around improved gameplay. this game is harder than the original but just put some effort in it. what you see later on is well worth the trouble. and as you progress the weapons and enemies get bigger and badder. but so does rachet.
Great Game!

I'm normally a fairly discriminating reviewer, so it isn't often that I would rate a game as a 5 star. In fact, the only past games I've ever given such a rating were Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City. Considering I'm usually not a big FPS gamer, a 5 star is especially impressive.
Anyway, I'll do a simple Pro/Con listing for brevity's sake:
Pros:
Awesome weapons (the most fun aspect of thegame is working towards upgrades)
Fun, interactive levels
Pleny of mini-games, puzzles, etc
Kid-friendly (not incredibly violent, esp. for a shooter)
An inventive story line
Hidden-areas w/ power-ups, special gadgets, etc.
Challenge mode (after beating the story line) provides replay value
Cons:
Relatively easy to defeat, even on challenge mode
As you can see, the pros outweigh the cons. If you're a skilled gamer, especially where Shooters are concerned, I'd suggest renting the game. I had it for a week and worked my way through the normal and challenge mode after 3 days. Challenge mode is great because you collect numerous bolts which enables you to buy the really cool, expensive weapons you couldn't afford the first time through. However, with weapons like the RHYNO II and the Ultra Weapon upgrades, Challenge Mode becomes something of a misnomer.
Which game to choose?...R+C:G C or Jak II?

Well to be honest with you jak 2 and ratchet and clank 2 are really both awsome games. The weapons in Jak 2 and the weapons in ratchet and clank are awsome. The gameplay in ratchet and clank are awsome. The game play in Jak 2 are awsome though repetitive to the max. They both have great graphics. There both great platformers. I suggest getting both. I have both and they are Superb games. But there 3rd sequals are gonna be in big competition

I am a great fan of the original Ratchet and Clank, even over Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy and Jak 2. It was fun, and the main character, Ratchet and Clank, have more variety up their sleeves in terms of movement, weapons, and other things. Additionally, this game advances in such a way that you are not constantly frustrated. In other words, this game is designed for the casual gamer (most of us) who just want to have fun (unlike Jak 2, which has a lot of good ideas running but the game in of itself is incredibly difficult). In this game, the weapons immediately upgrade by themselves unlike the original Ratchet and Clank, but you have to buy upgrades in the armor department. This time platinum bolts (akin to gold bolts of the original) aren't really that important. Even your ship can be upgraded entirely, and you can choose the color of your ship. I like Drek Blackheart myself, but there are others. The graphics is very similar to the first and the environments overall. The controls are dead-on as always, and the camera is nearly perfect. Lastly, don't expect much a story except some real cheese...Insomniac should be commended for a well thought-out game. A must-buy!
Great Game
