Ratchet and Clank Going Commando is a great game.You can upgrade your weapons to new better ones which is awesom.
Also it is better than the first because its much diffrent,
theres more of a challenge and you want to play it over again.
This game will entertain you for hours.

I love this game!And dont listen to that other guy who said it was to violite.I meen really this game is to cartoony to be violite.It just has a basic shoot the heck out of peaple.but theres no blood.when u beat somebody they just dissapear.So parents dont be afraid to buy this for your kid Ok.I garrenty they will love it.

Two words: The Bouncer.

It's hard to express my love for this game. But once you have the Bouncer, you'll know. Once your just blasting away armies of enemys with on single exploding shot, you'll know.

I loved the first game. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. It was brilliant, innovative, smart, funny, enjoyable, charming, and addictive. To me, it WAS the next Mario. So out comes a sequel to one of my favorite games ever...

...and at first I was a little under-whelemed. I didn't feel that wide-eyed grin spread across my face looking at the colorful worlds. A few planets in, I felt like saying "I've done this before" And man, the difficulty level was amped up a couple notches, providing me with a few frusterations. See this is the point where those "reviewers" gave up, and signed onto Amazon to write a bad review for it.

But then something happened. Well actually, a couple things. My health started to increase, like an RPG, as I progressed, making any challenge possible if I kept trying at it. All my weapons started upgrading to more powerful ones. I could buy armor now. I could enter gladiator matches. I could enter pod-racing-like tournaments. I started to really enjoy the space missions. And yes, I found my true love, the Bouncer. The game just gets so GOOD. There's so much variety, so much stuff to blow up, sooooo many weapons to do it with! I'm on my THIRD time through the game and I still haven't gotten all of the weapons! The story is great! The videos are hilarious ("Hey Billy! You look lonely, how bouta proto pet!?" "NO! NO! NOOOOO!"). The action....oh my.....you have no idea. None. Nope. Sorry. Until you've played the ENTIRE game, you just don't know how cool this game is. It is better than the first. It IS the next Mario. This is where platformers should be headed! I cannot give a higher recomendation for a game.

and i thought the first was good.

rachet and clank going commando is not only my very favirote game. it surpasses what the first one did in just about everything. although the first one was good it lacked inside portal activity which rachet and clank going commando fixes on gigantic accounts. theres so much to be done like minigames puzzles hoverbike races gladiator arena challenges. all can generally be played for bolts which serve as the currency of the over 17 worlds-planets youll go trough. the game also features plenty of extras like swimming swingshotting and platformcrossing. the bolts can be used to collect the 40 some gagets and weapons in the game. including some gargatuaun guns nothing too small or useless like the first. the guns incluse the lancer- a deadly fastshooting directhitting rifal or pistol thing. and the blitzgun- a huge wide gun equpped with powerful shots that sometimes kills an enemy after merely touching it. theres so much more but i think the gagets also warrent a metion. theres the therminator- this device will allow you to freeze ice to water. and theres the also the dynamo- when ever you see an unusuaul shade of green on an apparent opstaclrto get trough the level zap it with your dynamo. some of the weapons and gagets are expensive but well worth the trouble. all can be purchased at the main entrance gagetron vendors or ocasoinally another various location. the graphics are way better than the first and the music is unusuaully excellent. unlike the typical platformer. all in all going commando will test you toughness more than the first. one of the things i love about going commando is that it mixes a cartoony element with enough hardcore elements to be praized by grend theft auto fans. if you dont like gta dont worry this is in many ways a platformer younger teens and kids can enjoy also and has not one drop of blood. going commando is a title every fan of the first game should run out of there house to purchase. its one of the bestselling games this year.and from what ive seen its eay to understand why.

not nearly as good as jak ii

now dont get me wrong i really enjoyed this game. but jak 2 is so much better. for more challenges more impressive graphics and unbelivably fun and rewarding gameplay. going commando is very fun but its probally aimed at insignifigant gamers. jak has a better storyline and much more challenging gameplay. everything in this game is a big task. if youre 13 get going commando. if youre a little older jak 2 is the one youll like.

Awsome Way Better than the First

This is a great game all around. Here are just some of things you can do: gladiader arenas, space battles, hoverbike races, giant clank battles, and of course the reguler missions. If you want know how long the game is, it took me 22 hours 11 minutes to beat it. It's not hard, but definitly not easy. The replay value is very good. It's almost as fun as playing the first time around, but to make it even more fun, once you beat the game you get challenge mode, which is just a harder vesion of the game with better enimies ect. Also you get a bolt multiplier so you get more money than the game you beat, plus mega weapon uprades. If you have an original Ratchet&Clank game saved on your memory card, do not delete it! Because if you have one you get 5 Ratchet&Clank 1 weapons for free! For people who have the first game, no you do not get the R.Y.N.O. The graphics and the sound are both very good. The gameplay is awesome. There are 18 planets, so it won't get dull. I'd definetly recomend this game over Jak 2. In Jak 2 it takes about 15 minutes to get to the mission and like 35 tries to beat it. Also Jak 2 only has 4 guns, this one has like 25 not even counting upgrades. Overall, this is a great game definetly worth the 40$.

this is the best game ever!it is twenty times better than the original and features 15 new weapons and gadgets!you can compare this to halo because this is teo times better than halo will ever be!!!

Great fun but has money problems

There are a lot of reasons to really like this game. The environments are varied and look great, the animation is good, and the comic element that made the 1st installment just that little bit more fun is still there. The weapons are great, too.

The camera works fine and rarely refuses to let you get the view you want, and most of the game can be figured out without having to restort to a walk-through.

But, there are two major annoyances. The first, and smaller of the two, are the hovercar races. If you're not in 1st place by the end of the first 10 seconds, you may as well start over. I really, really dislike the races. The second is the amount of money (bolts) it takes to buy weapons. They are quite expensive and the only way to earn bolts at any decent rate to buy them is to play the arena games or hovercar races over and over and over and over. Each time you play a race or arena level the amount of winnings drops, so you can't just pick one or two and fill up.

Plus, there's an area where you can get "all" your weapons from the 1st R&C game for free (if you have a completed R&C on your memory card), but they don't give you the RYNO, and it's ONE MILLION BOLTS. I'm sorry, but the arena games and races are not the answer to this.

It also takes some weapons forever to upgrade, even ones you use a great deal. So you end up between a rock and a hard place: You have to use a weapon for it to upgrade (you can see the scale move on the weapon icon), but then you have to keep spending to reload (free ammo isn't rare, but you don't always get what you want); which takes you farther and farther from affording better weapons.

In short, the hovercar races are rare, so if it weren't for the money/buying weapons problem this game would get 5 stars.

This is the second installment of the, "Ratchet & Clank" series. I've had this game for about 3 months now, but I played it 96.7% of my free time playing it, so you'll find this review to be quite accurate. Let's start with the pros and cons:

Pros:
-You can use Clank as a Jet/Helicopter pack
-You can upgrade your ship
-You can upgrade your weapons (Through frequent-use) and Health (By killing more enemies)

Cons:
-You don't get Clank 'till the 4th level
-Some missions have to be beat to the finish in order to get to your ship (Your ship is the only way to go back to planets you've already been to)
-You can't buy starship mods 'till the 7th level

You may have noticed that I only put 3 of each, this is to only give you a sneek-peek. Here are some other recomendations, their prices (On www.amazon.com), and their ratings (Out of 5 stars):

This Game is the best one out there it can't get much better then this. Pros: Great weapons, it's fun to collects bolts to buy stuff. so much to do. when you complete it it's still fun! No Blood! (moms hate that) and Great weapons! Cons: the really good weapons cost a lot of bolts and it takes a while to collect them. but when you have enough to get them thats when u really need them.
